I have several cans of spray paint that I bought about a year ago for the purpose of spraying some of my pots...I’ve been procrastinating 😅 I also have some green pots and I agree that most plants tend to just blend in, I need to paint them and change them up a bit 🤩👍🏻🙏🏻🍃💕
Yes definitely do it!! It didn’t take as long as I thought it would which is great. I love the green pots but agree they look better alone than with plants in them!
They look beautiful sis and rustoleum is my go to. It has helped me so much. I changed my entire kitchen cabinet in one weekend using their product. Good job!
I have painted my pots and they were all terra cotta. I don’t have a balcony/terrace so i didn’t spray paint them. I used the paint brush which I really didn’t care for since you can see the lines from the paint brush so it wasn’t as clean a look like spray paint. I do prefer the white pots to keep a uniformed look though I try to add a bit of grey/silver colors or multicolored pots to it. I did decide earlier this month that I would add black and white pots where the white is the background color so the black pops off it. By the way, you crack me up at the reading the warning signs during and making executive decisions as you go along. Really enjoy the natural part of your videos vs trying to make it perfect.
Ugh yes I have a few pots that I painted with a brush and acrylic paint and the texture really bothered me! I think paint brush is good if you’re going to do something a little more abstract. Ooh yes grey and silver are so pretty, I will incorporate more of that and black I think. I was getting bored with just terra cotta but I don’t mind adding color here and there. LOL I’m glad you enjoy my craziness, thank you for watching and your amazing comments as always. You make my day!
Has the paint held up? I did this about 2 years ago and the kind i used flaked off after awhile. It was supposed to be specifically for plastic too! Ive considered sanding l/lightly scuffing the surface but id rather not.
Hello plant mama 😊 haven’t seen any of your videos for awhile. I guess we are all been busy working and such but happy to see you again. I myself starting to slowly get back to upload videos.
Nice Tatiana. Trust me I have done that with my plastic pots multiple time using spray paint and other times acrylic paint 🎨, and it's always a messy business 🙃. But it's the end results that counts. Great job😍.
I’m with you how to tittle it coz I don’t do good when I do something and making sure I clarify that’s it’s not tutorial. I actually like how it turned out . I never thought about spray painting my color plastic pot . Thanks for the idea.
This is great, it doesn't have to be perfect but they look great! Thanks for the tip on the clothes, I would not have thought of that. Note to self, wear gloves lol!
@@Plant_Mama This is my project. I forgot to do a before, but I didn't spray the inside of the saucer, so that's the before color. I think they're the same ones you have, but bigger.
@@Plant_Mama well, I guess I can't post pics because I don't have enough subscribers? But it turned out super cute. French blue, the house is Grey, and my color theme this year is purple. TONS of shades of purple! I can't wait!
I love painting pots, but I usually use a paintbrush. I think I'm going to follow your lead and use spray cans. As always, you always make me laugh or smile and the pots came out great, even if I'm not a fan of white. 😂
Haha thank you! Yes I have used paint brushes too but love how smooth the spray looks. Good thing they come in lots of colors!! You are too sweet, glad I could make you smile 🥰
WHY spray............ your body too and over dirty planters. Of, wow, so me watching until the end to realize this is just like a two-year-old spray painting one color.............
One small suggestion you should put the pot upside down it is much easier

It has been super busy lately Ugh!
Did this today.. bought large cheap black pots in the garden section for $2 each and a can of aqua blue spray paint. They look expensive now! Lol
Amazing!!

Hahaha definitely messy but I’m happy with how they turned out!
Do you usually use a sealer spray paint if the pot will be outdoors to protect it from the elements?
I really liked the white pots 🤍
Thank you!!

Hahah I like how it turned out but def not the best way to do it 🤣 def give it a try!
Your roommate sounds very knowledgable!
Thats that masters talking!
Nice!
Nice not a tutorial video. Painting can be a pain sometimes but it does change up the look of the item painted 👍
Yes exactly, I love the fresh look! Thank you 😊
Beautiful! I will spray some black plastique pot I have. Happy you put on a mask. Need a cap and gloves what do you think? Peace!
Definitely a good idea to have all the gear!
Creative job dear❤️❤️👍👍
Thank you!
Hello ,nice sharing good job , nice color white
Thank you!
If you don't have a plastic glove on handy you can also use a plastic bag and put a rubber band if you have around your wrist
I’m actually about to spray paint my black pots green.
I hope they turn out well!!
Nice work with new experiment
Thanks!
Her name instantly gave me the song lyrics 😍😂
"not a tutorial" haha love the heads up! That's how all my DIY's feel. It's fine, but don't replicate what I do lol
LMFAOO exactly!! This was def the lazy and unsafe way 🤣
Wow nice designing, I love it!
Thanks!
Great video! Brw, I love those containers! My fruit trees do so well in the larger sized ones! 🌱🌳🥭
Yes!! The large ones are the BEST for container gardening. Thank you so much for watching!
Plant Mama Tatiana Blessings! Keep up the great vibe. 🌱 Are you also on IG?
Your roommate haha "are you supposed to be wearing like a gas mask?" 😂
WE KNOW NOTHING 🤣🤣
This is great, it doesn't have to be perfect but they look great!
Thanks for the tip on the clothes, I would not have thought of that.
Note to self, wear gloves lol!
LOL learn from my mistakes for sure! Thanks for watching!

@@jenger5405 that’s amazing!!
Love your knee high red socks.. what not to do with DIY spray painting.. wear a mask and gloves.. very funny but live the outcome 🙃🙂😅🤣😍
Loll definitely what not to do 😂😂 thank you for watching!
So will the paint on the inside effect the plants from the chemicals. Maybe a dumb question but I have no clue😂
So far all the plants seem to be doing well after nearly a year! I didn’t paint to inside of the pots tho where the dirt and roots are!
Very beautiful video☘🌿🌷☘🌷🌷🌿
Thank you!
How is the paint holding up after 1 year? I want to do this on some of my pots.
Still there!! it worked really well and hasn’t come off with frequent watering either
@@Plant_Mama nice, good to know, I'm going to paint a few of mine too. Tks for replying!🌳
What about washing the inside before painting
Suggestion ~ Use plastic disposal gloves next time
if you wear rubber gloves, that will help keep your hands clean, also
Isn't it easer to spray paint around upside down pots instead of holding them and turning them around? Then whyen fry, spray paint the lids.
not u getting the paint all over your hands LMAOOO 😭😭😭
the mask making an appearance halfway through.. iconic
@@averyyreva LMFAOOO she’s unsafe!
Your beauty baited me to watch your vid. 😆
😂😂
Gloves?
I put a plastic glove on my left hand so I will not get pain on it

Easier to buy white pots 😁😁
True 😂 wanted to switch up what I already had tho!
Your DIY spoiled by favorite green color ;)
Don't use black pots the sun cooks the roots of your plants
Your nails are so nice and you are painting with no gloves??? 😅
Good gracious my dear please wear a mask! And eye protection. Spray paint even a small amount in the eyes is not good. That is dangerous & LAZY.
YOU and your knee high socks!!! OMG
LOLLL
Awesome repainted..
Do wear face mask for health purpose,, smell of spray paint has strong odor..
Thank you so much, I will!
Talk too much just do it!!!
Not
WHY spray............ your body too and over dirty planters. Of, wow, so me watching until the end to realize this is just like a two-year-old spray painting one color.............
Taiatana
And wear gloves
how about gloves.... xD
LOL YEAH I REALIZED THAT AFTER 🤣🤣
Wear gloves honey
Plz use mask
