My wife has the same truck took it to get checked because it’s doing the same thing and it says it just the tire speed sensor on her love the truck man!!
Had similar issue on my wife’s expedition. One side was broke so I spliced it. Worked for a day or so and then nothing. Replaced it and still had issue. Found out the other side was bad also. I replaced it and fixed the issue.
I took my 2010 sierra to autozone, they were able to scan it and tell me which one was out. Ended up being a dirty connector. Cleaned it and it was good to go.
Replace both sensors with a new wiring harness for the (ABS) light. Check and see if that will solve the problem not 100% sure but I would give that a try bro
only way to tell is if you have a snap on or autel scanner tool and it will show the abs ring speed on each wheel and super easy to tell what one is bad just get the right tools or take it to a shop \
No it’s the rear differential I had the same problem on my Ltz differential went out bought a new one it went away until I did a massive burn out one day it came back re set code stayed on till I put another rebuild differential this tip is for the traction control light
Those two lights suck because anything to do with driveline will trigger it, on my truck it was the steering angle sensor. If it is that almighty GM has discontinued the part for it so you have to use one from a newer truck and it can be finicky.
Was going to comment the same thing, I’ve had to up the fluid level slightly when there lifted with a little lean as well. The fluid goes more towards the back of the reservoir and has caused the same issues.
Just fixed the same issue with my truck turn out there was a miss fire in cylinder one causing the stabilitrac light my coil just so happened to be unplugged
Buy a scan tool other than that your waisting your time unless you check power to each speed sensor, which you probably won’t do seeing as how your diagnosis for the window switch was assuming it was bad cause it was dirty. But you got lucky so props
You could tell it was the switch with how it was sticking. There was really only 2 possibilities for the window so I’d say he diagnosed that just fine. The switches in this body style are known for going bad
@@ianbailey1109 yeah I would also “assume” the switch was bad by how it was sticking, but as I said that’s an assumption and could also not be the case, window motors are know bad on these rigs as well. But a 100% confirmation would be testing power to the switch and from the switch ie at the pig tail of the switch and pig tail of the window motor
I’ve always considered those ABS and stabilitrack/traction lights just kind of a part of owning Chevy/GMC trucks and suvs. Half the time they don’t mean shit, just a bunch of nonsense to get you to spend monies.🤣
I know its a little north for you but if you are ever up toward Cullman, Al. I can scan it for you to pinpoint what the issue is. Just so happens I have one of them big fancy scanners lol
Your oil pressure is by no means low for hot idle at 20 psi, but if you ever have to pull the pan you can plug the oil bypass valve and replace the pickup tube O-Ring and I believe it would bump it up a bit based off of my personal experience. Certainly not something to tear it down just for that, but it is a good idea when it is down. It also has the added benefit of potentially decreasing oil consumption as they were known for splashing oil during bypass causing it to burn.
Just to clarify I made this as a separate post from my other one as this is in no way causing your issues. This is simply something I wanted to mention after noticing the gauge in the video.
There’s a control module that is connected to a wiring harness under the front bumper , changed it on my buddies Tahoe that had the same lights, and it went away . Dk if it’s your issue, but it could’ve gone bad .
This might sound crazy but I had the same issue in my 09 Silverado. All mine was was a weak battery. It was sitting at about 10.5 volts when off instead of 12. Got a new battery and everything went away.
Front wheel hubs. There are little magnets on the inside face of those front hubs that let the abs sensors know the wheel speed. My hubs were still good but a few of the little magnets vibrated out and caused this same issue.
Check grounds, may have bad abs sensors, there’s also sensor on the steering wheel under the dash that will cause this as well. You don’t need expensive scanner. It’s one of the 3 things.. checking grounds cost you your time no money.. after that it could only be 3 sensors. All easy repairs.
I had the same issue on my 2008 Tahoe. I have the blue driver scan tool. It blue tooth’s to your phone by there app. You just have to buy the device. I did a scan with it and it told me which wheel sensor was not working. Went to the wheel and the plug was unplugged. Plugged it back in and all lights went off. Hope this helps.
Looks like low oil pressure my 08 1500 gets A solid 40 on startup don't drop down to bout 30-35 till it warms up a little. That said I just changed the oil pressure sending unit and filter, plus oil change and filter
This would not cause an ABS light. It is also not uncommon for a vehicle to have his oil pressure level. General rule of thumb that racers have always used is 10psi per 1,000 rpm and he is plenty good on that. I do not know the spec off the top of my head but GM is okay with much less oil pressure at hot idle than he has.
Could potentially be a cracked tone ring in the hub bearing… I had a 2012 gm product with the same lights but did not affect drivability… I would look into the wheel bearings… especially with having added weight on your hubs with the offset oversized wheels
A BlueDriver would be an absolute MUST HAVE for someone doing UA-cam videos like you are. It is about $100.00 and gives you all kinds of live data and allows you to scan ABS codes. Get that and it will be much easier for you to diagnose the vehicle. Good luck sir!
I don’t mean to sound rude in saying this, but anyone suggesting random parts that could be bad are leading you in the wrong direction. While these are all very possible issues you would just be loading the parts cannon without knowing the exact codes as they will narrow it down quite a bit.
I work at discount tire , I’m not sure if Alabama has one but if you go to a discount tire they have a scanner and they’ll scan all your tires for sensors and see which sensor is dead or not getting signal
The ABS light and the traction control light should go out when you install a new wheel speed sensor. The other wires looked like they worked with your splice if you were able to turn them off and on like that.
If your steering wheel is not close to being straight while you’re driving forward, it can cause those lights to come on but it could be a few things hopefully you can find the issue
Had the same thing happen with my 2012 Silverado. Alignment got messed up after tagging a deer going 45 and slamming on the brakes. Thankfully I had a ranch hand on could’ve been hell of a lot worse
My abs lights come and go on my 99 Sierra. Feel like it’s the speed sensors which I haven’t change yet. Maybe the modulator. Just been dealing with it.
Solved all my light problems
My wife has the same truck took it to get checked because it’s doing the same thing and it says it just the tire speed sensor on her love the truck man!!
Had similar issue on my wife’s expedition. One side was broke so I spliced it. Worked for a day or so and then nothing. Replaced it and still had issue. Found out the other side was bad also. I replaced it and fixed the issue.
I have the same truck and same issue in the past. Change out the brake switch… located on the brake pedal up under the knee board
I took my 2010 sierra to autozone, they were able to scan it and tell me which one was out. Ended up being a dirty connector. Cleaned it and it was good to go.
Had the same problem on a 2011 Dodge Ram it was the speed sensor
I got a “cheap” scanner that says it reads abs and air bag codes from harbor freight works great on my truck
Wheel speed sensor made my 13 Sierra do the same thing. Luckily it was the rear driver one and my oreilys was able to scan it and tell me which one.
check and make sure the abs wire isn’t pinched between near the dust shield and spindle
mine got torn right at the sensor and threw that code
Some of those front struts have a sensor on them right on top
I hate squatted trucks but your a chill dude and yours ain't overly squatted so i support you and your channel
Mine done it it was the gas pedal sensor
Check your wheel hubs. That was my issue. The magnet may be breaking or interrupted on one of the hubs.
Brake switch up underneath the brake pedal will leave those lights on
Toss the wheel speed sensor in it could be it. I had a camaro that did the same thing and it was a wheel hub
And also replaced negative battery cable
If it had the factory air ride in the rear it will throw those codes if you dont buy the deletes
Replace both sensors with a new wiring harness for the (ABS) light. Check and see if that will solve the problem not 100% sure but I would give that a try bro
only way to tell is if you have a snap on or autel scanner tool and it will show the abs ring speed on each wheel and super easy to tell what one is bad just get the right tools or take it to a shop

Big Betty looks so good
No it’s the rear differential I had the same problem on my Ltz differential went out bought a new one it went away until I did a massive burn out one day it came back re set code stayed on till I put another rebuild differential this tip is for the traction control light

Low brake fluid caused my 2011 Silverado to throw the same lights. It’s worth checking
Was going to comment the same thing, I’ve had to up the fluid level slightly when there lifted with a little lean as well. The fluid goes more towards the back of the reservoir and has caused the same issues.
Mine is bc it needs a new ABS pump
Just take it to ur local oriellys they can scan it for you and tell you which wheel speed sensor is the issue
Just fixed the same issue with my truck turn out there was a miss fire in cylinder one causing the stabilitrac light my coil just so happened to be unplugged
flash them off and see if they come back on.
Mine went away after adding brake fluid. It was sitting right at the minimum line.
Wheel bearings

What kinda of exhaust is done on it
If I’m not mistaken it’s ohms related so you can’t just put it back together you have to actually replace it
I’ve always considered those ABS and stabilitrack/traction lights just kind of a part of owning Chevy/GMC trucks and suvs. Half the time they don’t mean shit, just a bunch of nonsense to get you to spend monies.🤣
Fixes the door switch but doesn’t even clean all the gross stuff. 🤦♂️
I know its a little north for you but if you are ever up toward Cullman, Al. I can scan it for you to pinpoint what the issue is. Just so happens I have one of them big fancy scanners lol
2018 silverado was bad front hub bearings
replace front hubs and service stabil trax and traction control light will go off, had the same problem on my 2010 silverado
Wheel speed sensors possibly
My Tahoe had those lights on and it was for the rear abs, the connector was pulled apart after putting the rear lift in
Ive got access to a snap on scanner in west ga off I20
Change both front wheel hubs at the same time if only one has been changed it’ll do that also
Mine turned out to be my steering wheel position sensor under the dash. 2011 Silverado
Oreillys has a scanner that scans pcm,abs and srs I personally have the green one
Replace the hub assembly ain’t that hard just watch a video on it, then make one on it lol.
Brake switch
on my 2010 silverado it does that when the wheel bearings are wearing out so prob chevk and get new wheel bearings
Oreillys can scan abs codes

Change the screen on the back of the intake mainfold that 20 psi oil pressure is a no go buddy
There’s a control module that is connected to a wiring harness under the front bumper , changed it on my buddies Tahoe that had the same lights, and it went away . Dk if it’s your issue, but it could’ve gone bad .
Mine was a mass air flow sensor
Replace both front wheel hubs. Id almost bet itll fox the issue. Also make sure brake fluid level is full
Low brake fluid in my 2011 GMC sierra threw those same lights as well.
Abs module is common to go bad in those models
This might sound crazy but I had the same issue in my 09 Silverado. All mine was was a weak battery. It was sitting at about 10.5 volts when off instead of 12. Got a new battery and everything went away.
Front wheel hubs.

My hubs were still good but a few of the little magnets vibrated out and caused this same issue.
I replaced both wheel speed sensors in my 00 z71 with similar issue and it fixed them. Tried just one and it ended up needing both.
Bad, regulator, in alternator

Hello. Did that work out for you?
Looks like low oil pressure my 08 1500 gets A solid 40 on startup don't drop down to bout 30-35 till it warms up a little.
That said I just changed the oil pressure sending unit and filter, plus oil change and filter
What year?
My 13 tahoe sits between 20-30

Imagine finding another broom stick in the door 🤣
Love the videos man keep up the good work
Thanks!
Get a thinkdiag. Great investment.....sounds like your ebcm

Dude don’t worry about the oil pressure mine has been blow 20 ever since I have owned it even my Duramax has low oil pressure never had a issue
My 13 Tahoe sits at about 20-30
What I win lol
I work at discount tire , I’m not sure if Alabama has one but if you go to a discount tire they have a scanner and they’ll scan all your tires for sensors and see which sensor is dead or not getting signal
Does any of your programmers read abs
Same thing on my 08 Sierra but only happens when I have the spare tire probably since it’s smaller rim 🤷🏼♂️
Check your brake fluid
Mine is the steering wheel position sensor. Same lights minus abs light tho
The ABS light and the traction control light should go out when you install a new wheel speed sensor. The other wires looked like they worked with your splice if you were able to turn them off and on like that.
That's a badass tahoe bro ❤

Had the same thing happen with my 2012 Silverado. Alignment got messed up after tagging a deer going 45 and slamming on the brakes. Thankfully I had a ranch hand on could’ve been hell of a lot worse
Yep yep
You could have gotten tpms sensors.
What is the code???
I am a GM TECHNICIAN. Those abs wires are sensitive wiring, that's why they are twisted together.
Either wheel bearing hub assembly / complete wheel speed sensor with circuit assembly
got a snap on scanner hmu...
My abs lights come and go on my 99 Sierra. Feel like it’s the speed sensors which I haven’t change yet. Maybe the modulator. Just been dealing with it.
Go to you’re local parts store and have them scan it a pretty basic scanner will read abs codes. Also love the videos.
Autozones doesn’t oriellys definitely don’t
Harbor Freight has a scan tool that will read abs codes under 130
First or second idk
