I would have come back Switzerland I'd s long way away. Thanks for sharing this event with us. Pimax 8k X is the headset I want I just hope they will be available for Switzerland too
I tried the 8K X today a bit later in the night and it was amazing. I've owned 8 other headsets and this is by far the best. Its amazingly clear and the comfort has improved a whole lot too. This is honestly what VR needed to be. Non vr people will to stop saying "oh but its so blurry" that you get with people that play on decent monitors. Yes its $1300 but if you like VR and use it a good bit its totally worth it. I normally just sim race and play some contractors vr. If I get what I saw today I'll be more then happy with my order for 8K X, just cant wait to get it.
3080ti and pimax 8kx.... i want now!!!!! Pimax Marketing Director.... Congratulations!!! Pimax could become a future giant company within vr, imagine 10-20 years from now... could be an interesting career.
@@j-hookreversal 4K and wide FOV... not much improvement required on that for a good while, pc specs need to catch up. pimax artisan and 8kx is the best choice for consumer VR now and will be for a good while, Pimax won the 4k race, even a 3080ti can't handle 8k, so it's gonna be a while for the next race... by that time they might be one of the big players.
If Samsung releases a rumoured high resolution headset with curved screen giving a wide field of view in a small form Factor, and also does both AR and VR, for under 1000, then it's game over. And then Apple, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft, will come not long after to piss on their grave 🤣
@@colin8877 LOL... that is a lot of if's, rumors and wishful thinking. And for samsung at this point, not a good buisness strategy to release something like that under 1000$, it leaves no room for profit... they hurt themselves as much as they hurt pimax, then the big ones can piss on both their graves.
The Pimax 8K X costs more 300 dollars than the 8K Plus and has basicaly no hardware changes besides the input resolution. Sorry but paying 100 dollars more to have a decent sound is just a rip off. Paiyng 1300 dollars for the flagship should include proper sound
5:16 - "..especially for the new flight simulator that's coming out (FS 2020)" - Yeah, I hope FS2020 WILL support VR eventually. At the current development state , the team confirms no support for VR (yet).
I've tried the index and the 8KX at CES last week and purchased the 8KX which is waay better on every level.. Comfort, virtually no sde/distortions, can read cockpit gauges and text clearly without having to lean in unnaturally, and the fov is just next level too..I do recommend getting the deluxe modular audio strap over the standard one though if you want decent sound/bass etc.. It won the best in VR and AR award at CES deservedly and for very good reason

sweviver is there any solution for the native refresh rate? if there was an option to get 90fps 4k mode this would be a perfect headset. or even 80hz. i do get bandwith limitations make this hard
Adrenaline Junkie thanks!! I was hoping they’d hit 80 as 80 felt fine on my rift s whilst 72 on quest is a bit meh. Any confirmation of this from pimax? I’d love to see a comparison of 8kx vs 8kx upscale with super sampling
Pimax 8KX have a good price, you have to compare with Xtal, Varjo that cost 5500 - 7000$ and are not as good as Pimax8KX. Pimax is for people that love VR.
IMO NYC should have been first on a Friday and Florida on Sunday, whomever made this decision is a bonehead. People in NYC have to be at work at 6am on Monday, people in Florida don't work.
@@groovvr You make no sense. Early or late Sunday is the day for family and getting ready for Monday's work day. It's not a holiday for everybody, probably most of their customers.
Pre-order your Pimax 8KX from the official Pimax website: pimax.com/sweviver

That last guy gave the best explanation of refresh rates i have ever heard. Almost makes me want to get the Pimax Super.
Lol thanks. I have a Rift S (80Hz) and an Index (up to 144hz) so it's easy for me to feel the difference on other headsets.
Are we ever going to see the Artisan.
You should really show The artisan because you'll be surprised how many people are interested in it who don't have a super powerful PC .
@@adrenalinejunkie3828 yeah, it's everything I was looking for in a headset.
Thanks for coming out to share the Pimax experience with us here in Orlando. That 8KX was simply stunning!
Great coverage, Martin. I'm beyond excited for the 8KX.

That's very good Sweviver, very informative...especially the last guy.
Thanks!

I feel like all their hard work will be chewed up by the big players when they begin producing wide FOV headsets.

I had a pilot from germany army try different stuff on my Rift S and he even said that was way better than their simulator. :P
Montreal or Toronto please
List of games ?
Will you guys be coming down to South Florida?
Once again, Thanx bro! I also like how the guy keep saying “ I can’t believe how clear the graphic “.
I see you're very careful not to do comparisons between the Valve Index and the Pimax 8k Plus.... You know that's some steep competition.
The Artisan is closer to a competitor to the Index. The Index is a fine product but not as advanced as the 8K+ or 8KX.
Yup... Artisan beats the index, 8kx is in another league!!!

Omg the first interview is awkward.

When and where you will be in New York?

They were already in Florida so that's why they started there. Just go in the morning in NY and bring your XTAL.
