ikr. I would like 100% correct stats. and have them adjust accordingly to attachments in gunsmith. so every gun's range damage recoil hip fire rate of fire. all of these things would be in the stats.

The gunsmith wording is all messed up. I mean there are barrel attachments for some weapons that say they "bring the range to the max" (Glock 45 pistol) but then there would be another barrel that has a higher range stat bar.. like wtf? Also the Aug lightweight barrel slows mobility every way even though it says it does the opposite. Gunsmith is all messed up and confusing.

For me, I’m running suppressors just for the audio benefit. I find I can hear enemy movements in close quarters better since the BOOM is flattened out.

Kody Seaton yes. Welcome to a realistic suppressor. It’s just supposed to take away the bullet “crack” u get when shooting the gun unsuppressed. In other words, you don’t get the explosion sounds of a gun, rather just a hissing noise
Mini map hides it but the compass doesn't... Even though the mini map doesn't tell you..the compass somewhat gives you a hint on where they might be which is something people have never noticed because they are used to a regular mini map and not a compass.

The compass is completely useless in any respawning gamemmode, because it could proce off of different players side by side without you knowing. You get ready to fight one guy, and both kill you. Neither have ghost or suppressors, and yet they can sneak along the map.
No, dead silence stays how it is, if you would have played the game you would know it would be way to op with the footsteps we got now. I'm in for make the footsteps so low sound that dead silence is unnecessary

@@EricNorthstar It's not possible to play the game as a deaf player in this current state. Running and gunning relies on footstep usage. You can't rely on the ui to show you where sounds are anymore, and that's bullshit. Every single team death match I've played has not gotten to the score limit. That's while I got a vtol and wheelson and carried my teams at the top. (Score limit being 75 and mine being 28

The old cod games (with honestly exception to some) had dead silence as a perk and didn’t have much issue with bullshit camping how it is in this game. There is very little to counterplay people camping buildings with a 725 just waiting.
I feel like everytime i try to flank an enemy there’s always another enemy in a building peeking at the exact moment i walk by and shoots me with a clear line of sight. This game feels really frustrating to me, especially when you compare the ttk on my screen vs that on his screen.
It seems like the good flanking paths are all the way on the outskirts of the map which is real frustrating with how slow the movement speed is without any investment

Mark Taekema dude it’s a struggle out here, I’m actually getting better at rushing I’ve been going 50-5 40-8 etc for the last 2 days almost every game but I can only do it in 10 v 10 and even then there will be 1 or 2 games I can’t do it whatsoever and have to succumb to camping like a noob
Lets just take a moment and appreciate that this is like old cod. and were pretty much complaining about the same things. This is wonderful, all mistakes included. such minor balancing features, as well as new map releases can make this the best MP cod since like bo2.
I'd be happy if suppressed weapons just couldn't be heard at all from a certain range or through multiple walls. And also showing up on the minimap is dumb.
@@smocloud Suppressors break Ghost and make you visible to the minimap. Substitute suppressors for FMJ, takes a quick part of a mag to tear through streaks. FMJ is ridiculous on UAVs, I can pop them faster than rockets.
Had anyone else noticed that if you run the weapon drop field upgrade, every time you pick up an attachment from the weapon drop, you get all the previous attachments the weapon drop has given you too. You can get an attachment in every slot if you use it enough. It seems pretty powerful but I never see anyone (but me) use it. To be fair it's a late unlock. Also you can pull the juggernaut Minigun out of it.
Smo Cloud that’s correct. It’s countered by Ghost which Ace is using in his video and he still shows up on the UAV. Silencers are completely pointless in HC now. This is the first game to do that.
@@Zoze13 As a fellow Hardcore player I am taking supressors out of my classes. Until they make a change where it doesn't break Ghost, I'm just going to use Ghost and use FMJ to destroy UAVs.
DamienDarksideBlog no, suppressors are still useful just more situational now. Sound suppression is still good and the compass ignores players who use them and if a UAV is active the suppressed person is still marked on radar in a single spot like how radar usually pings but disappears after 4 seconds
For myself I think the suppressors are a good feel regardless of what they’re meant for. There’s something about the sound and the way the gun feels that make you play better. In my opinion.
I agree with bringing back the traditional mini-map. The compass was designed with the idea of replacing the mini-map anyway, so having both clutters the HUD.
Something you didn't mention which is another benefit of suppressor, is that they remove muzzle flash. Which makes it easier to stay on target and less distracting imo. That's one of the main reasons I like suppressor still. I really hope this overhaul comes though, reduces base footsteps significantly and make enemy gunfire appear on radar, change suppressor like you said to keep you hidden.
A suppressor in real life is used to eliminate muzzle flash. Yes they also reduce noise but nowhere near the degree movies would have you believe. A suppressed weapon that isn't using soon subsonic rounds is still not hearing safe unless it's like a .22lr. I would have liked him to treat muzzle flash but I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand that it's the main job of a suppressor. Where does this stuff come in handy though? NVG game mode where any flash is a huge deal.

I actually can tell the difference(maybe not in heat of battle) LW: High frequency clicky, Tac: slightly lower boomy clicks, and mono as a further deepening of the boominess mind you it is Very subtle, but there is a difference. Listened on your vid over a iPhone SE at about 75% volume(biased to higher) over speakers. TheXclusiveAce you also didn’t test guns that can use subsonic ammunition in the sound tests. The supersonic crack will always make the shots easier to hear. I would be interested to see if that has any effects on the data you collected
The Oil Can actually is the same thing as the mono supressor. The only difference is that it blocks your iron sights and looks really fucking funny on your gun.

I could play for 12 hours straight, turning it off feeling sick of the game, hitting up one of your videos, immediately wanting to go back into the game. Just when I thought I was out, you pull me back in.

This whole sing with modern warfare trying to accommodate for new players is BS. Because why does it matter if they're good or not they have to play to get good not just hand them everything they want as far as camping areas in behind
No muzzle flash means you probably are adjusting your shots subconsciously, you dont lose sight of the target momentarily when you shoot (especially mid-long range)
Gotta put it out there, I like the compass and mini map how they are. Granted it’s easier to process when the red dots are on the mini map but if you can learn to use them properly you gain a massive advantage. Demonstrated by how many people are commenting saying they never even noticed the compass!

The issues are: Spawns (picadilly as an example) maps just being so unimaginative and tailored to sitting in one position(Cave) Footsteps, dead silence, mini map, 725 shotgun, M4A1 over powered, callouts, SBMM, uneven teams in games, not being able to play with 10 mates on 10 v 10 dom I'm hoping a a few patches like they did with WW2 will save this game. At the moment it's a frustrating experience
So it seems to me that it’s not worth using a suppressor at all for multiplayer from this video. But the hidden stats weren’t mentioned. Doesn’t the mono suppressor have extra bonus stats given that aren’t mentioned? Do these make it worth using?
Another thing to consider: guns have tracer rounds so sustained fire with a suppressor will give you away unless using the 300 blackout attachment for the m13 ar. Downside besides the pros and cons listed, you cant gather ammo from most of the assault rifles that are on the ground (most use 5.56)
Hey thexclusiveace I don't necessarily need a video on this but I have a a question its a little long but if you could help me I'd love the hell out of you lol. Ok so I used to be a 40-50 kill a game 2-2.5 KD type of player in almost all CODs before this new modern warfare. I know there is camping and we are all adjusting play styles, but it seems like I'm just dying from a couple shots and when I shoot someone it takes half a clip. Or I'll be dead before I'm even able to ADS. I am on PS4 I've used the M4 the mp5 even the 725 shotgun. I am currently at a 1.13 KDR. On PS4 what settings are your running? And what's your network settings like? I have COMCAST as an ISP usually downloads 120-160 Mbps Hardline Like 6 upload (if it matters)... Don't know ping but I'm always under >25 when searching. Last I looked it was below 30. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I am barely getting fully ADS'd before dying.
I hate the people that say this because camping is a plague that ruins fun but, you may be one of the actual players that literally never stopped moving? that's a death sentence in this game you cant be sprinting around corners or out in the open or at all honestly with how dumb the maps are.
You are not alone dude. Im not a pro, but in most cods i end up being atleasst in the top3 every game. In this modern warfare i might be lucky if im getting 1st 2 times in a whole night of playing. Spawns sucks, mini map sucks, shouting sucks. And like you said, in every cod you get a chance to avoid being killed by just peeking fast for example. In this cod a peek of 0.5 second is already a high risk of getting rekt by 2 bullets. 😑
Everything about this game rewards bad players and punishes good players. The devs said they wanted to cater to new and bad players (really). TheMarkOfJ did a great detailed video on how good players are punished in this game.
Great video but one thing I think wasn’t mentioned that I would’ve liked to see is that the suppressors also act as muzzle flash hiders, giving you a clearer Sight picture while your firing and making it easier to track your target while shooting at them. apart from that nice job love your videos !
I can’t understand for the life of me what they are thinking here. Firing my suppressed weapon turns ghost off? I swear they pinned ideas to a dart board and just started throwing to get ideas for this game. As always awesome video Ace, doing my best to stay engaged. But this game suuuuuuuucks.
When you look at the game as a whole, it's clear the whole team up at IW were under the influence when making decisions. It's sad and hilarious at the same time.
This is just one of several ways to how IW is catering to campers. Rushing is pretty much an inferior playstyle unless you're constantly checking several possible camping spot at any given moment.
Monolithic is still more of a pro than con for a lot of guns. The reduced sound range for your enemies, as well as an almost free slight range upgrade definitely seems worth it to me. Hopefully we can convince IW to list these detailed status effects in the gunsmith in a future update. Great work!
This game is all about fixing what isn't broken. Everything that we like is getting unnecessarily distorted. Leave our normal mini map and silencers....
@@jaalan7896 Yeah like, lets sell a $20 watch item that tells me how many deaths I have in Team DEATH match. Instead of ya know, like the past decade, have deaths as a normal stat to read mid game instead of the post game screen.
@@cuckheadmcgee8490 in team death Match and other game modes (not all) you can't see your deaths mid game, but they have released a watch you can buy in a pack to keep track of your deaths. In other game modes like SnD they don't tell you how many bombs you've planted etc.
I've thrown the monolithic suppressor on a lot of long barreled builds just for the extra range. If the weapon is already controllable or just needs some flavor of foregrip to manage recoil, I enjoy the extra range as well as the limited benefits from being quieter.
I have only tried the Tac surpressor as it hurts the weapon the least imo, now as you heard in the video at those extreme ranges they will not be able to hear you almost at all, but once you get into less then about longshot medal range I would say its doing nothing for you because of how the minimap functions in its current state. I see no reason to run them as is right now. The other barrel attachments are much more helpful to my gunfights.
I mainly use the suppressors for hiding muzzle flash. Especially while playing the Realism and NVG game modes (night maps). Helps me keep on target and not be seen. Thanks for the info!

@@louisthelegend3530 Oil can is only on the handguns.. and only on like 2 of them.. And Colossus is also on like 2 guns... so they are negligible for the data and the video.
@@lafleurstudios actually the pil can suppressor goes on all but the revolver, which means it covers an entire category of weapons! and considering theres only 3 secondary options, rockets handguns and knife, it's very common to have a handgun, so knowing what the oil can actually does would be nice! i mean I dont care, its fuck ugly so I hate it on my guns XD but other might haha
The suppressors are good because they make the audible direction of the enemy harder to pinpoint. I get less hunted after killing someone with a suppressor so that's why I use it.
I hope they do bring back the traditional mini map. Only because having 3 things to look at (when you're not camping) is extremely difficult (The Minimap, gameplay/ surroundings from peripheral/ and the compass. From my experience i've noticed a lot of players aren't even using the compass because it's a 3rd thing to look at and it's difficult. I feel like the only people that are using it are the campers in the corner, because they have less things to focus on when they are completely still. In my opinion i feel like the compass was left there only because devs didn't have time to revert it or change it ( because of other issues or bc they were behind on work) I only say that because in the original state of game, the beta they had removed the minimap completely but it obviously didn't work out. The compass was probably added because they had no more minimap, but with the minmap back it's useless and a pointless way to track shooters.
In smaller modes suppressors are extremely important, especially in 1 life modes. I commonly find myself shooting at an enemy half the map away and they're looking around like an idiot because they have no idea where I am shooting from. Especially since the monolithic supp ADDS dmg range that makes it even deadlier. I find that if you dont use a suppressor people can flick and instantly contest you because the sound is so obvious from where you are shooting from, but from a mid to long range engagement people tend to turn towards your general direction but take an extra second or two to acquire you in their sights and by that time they're dead. It all is reliant on play style of course, I tend to play very sneaky deaky and use positioning.
Jack Knights and in doing so they're forced to run other attachments like stippled grip to compensate for the lack in ADS speed. Ace already told us all the longer range barrels worsen your ADS time.
They need to remove the feature of players' characters yelling "CONTACT" when they see someone. it ruins the game and creates a toxic battleground. If you don't see an enemy, your opponent rightfully deserves you as a kill. its a crutch. they also need to reduce footstep volume.
I think you should consider the differences in suppressed effects depending on the caliber of the gun. For example, supressed subsonic .300 BO is so quiet that its hearing safe and on the M13 that attachment prevents uav pinging. Something like a 7.62 NATO or a 5.56 still breaks the sound barrier suppressed so it would make more sense to not benefit from it as much.
It's just the max damage ranges since I haven't found every range for every gun yet. So the aug for instance will have more dropoff points than I displayed here
I liked how the mini map was in the beta..you only see map when you have a uav. What is the purpose of uav if I show up on the map when shooting anyway.
Those mechanics for the suppressors make sense to me and would go along with the kind of realism that IW is/was going for. I personally think that they are viable and I use them quite a bit on my SMG classes and find they do help with remaining undetected. In regards to the minimap situation, I really hope they leave it as it is as it does require you to use your brain a little bit to figure out where the enemy is. Though I would like the radius increased a bit to give a little better awareness of where friendlies are. It is not a hard concept to understand and I feel people are not actually trying to adjust to the changes IW has made in regards to gameplay and design. Car Ramrod unfortunately you have to become a camper to do good which I hate I’m a run and gun player in every other cod but the only way to do good is become the people we hate.
@Car Ramrod I played cod ww2 and cod4 remastered to make sure i hadn't gotten too used to bo4 movement. I rushed fine in both games. So this game is definitely promoting camping very strongly with the map design and footsteps. Even the perk choices help camping too.
@Car Ramrod I'm a high spm player around 400/500. My spm in modern warfare is 250 :/ I've played 10 games that have reached the SCORE limit. That's saddening. So much potential in this game. So I'll give it to November and that overhaul.
@Car Ramrod I don't understand why. I remember the older cods. I'm still quite young so my first that I owned myself was black ops 1. It was just me and my mp5k. Nothing to hold my hand and make the game easier. I learnt from my mistakes and became a much better player over time. It's not rewarding to have things given to you and not have to earn them. That's another problem with this game. Developing gun skill and reaction time isn't rewarded.
They did a great job on the sound for suppressors. Too many games make it so suppressors actually make a weapon silent, when in real life you would still be able to hear it just not as loudly, like in the video around 4:30 It's actually possible to silence some weapons in real life, but you need a good suppressor and subsonic ammo.
Well i think the supressor helps with sound, not as in being a stealthy lone wolf but as in the heat of the fight where the enemy is firing and your allies are firing, the enemy will be way less likely to hear or at least to pinpoint your direction by the sound alone. There is not a pure stealth benefit to them but a tactical deception benefit, where the enemy has to actually spot you as a person, remember your not only the heck of a lot quieter compared to your allies, but you also have no muzzle flash wich especially helps in draker corners to not attract atention while still helping your team by actively engaging.
i only use the supressor to disappear on the mini map. its very useful when attacking people already in a gunfight, or from a distance. it often makes them panic and throws them off
Great vid Ace. However, no point in the enemy vise versa using suppressors or ghost anyways because the footsteps are too loud. The enemy can hear you halfway across the map and pinpoint your location. Make ghost like bo2 and dead silence a perk or nerf heavily the footsteps to better sneak up on campers and have a rushing playstyle. The two biggest issues resulting in a camping playstyle are the footsteps and map design, that's why alot of games are not reaching the limit, nobody wants to move around because you get punished for it.

surpressor delays the time you ping on the compass while UAV is up and the diamond on the compass doesn't pulse while you're firing

If u play kill confirmed, killing someone shows how far ur distance is from the tag, so technically this can be easier for ace to check ranges
I've actually got a more efficient system in place for range testing but I will be using the dog tag trick sometimes

Even though the mini map doesn't tell you..the compass somewhat gives you a hint on where they might be which is something people have never noticed because they are used to a regular mini map and not a compass.

The compass is completely useless in any respawning gamemmode, because it could proce off of different players side by side without you knowing. You get ready to fight one guy, and both kill you. Neither have ghost or suppressors, and yet they can sneak along the map.

You can't rely on the ui to show you where sounds are anymore, and that's bullshit. Every single team death match I've played has not gotten to the score limit. That's while I got a vtol and wheelson and carried my teams at the top. (Score limit being 75 and mine being 28

The old cod games (with honestly exception to some) had dead silence as a perk and didn’t have much issue with bullshit camping how it is in this game. There is very little to counterplay people camping buildings with a 725 just waiting.
I feel like everytime i try to flank an enemy there’s always another enemy in a building peeking at the exact moment i walk by and shoots me with a clear line of sight. This game feels really frustrating to me, especially when you compare the ttk on my screen vs that on his screen.
It seems like the good flanking paths are all the way on the outskirts of the map which is real frustrating with how slow the movement speed is without any investment

Lets just take a moment and appreciate that this is like old cod. and were pretty much complaining about the same things. This is wonderful, all mistakes included. such minor balancing features, as well as new map releases can make this the best MP cod since like bo2.
I'd be happy if suppressed weapons just couldn't be heard at all from a certain range or through multiple walls. And also showing up on the minimap is dumb.
@@smocloud Suppressors break Ghost and make you visible to the minimap. Substitute suppressors for FMJ, takes a quick part of a mag to tear through streaks. FMJ is ridiculous on UAVs, I can pop them faster than rockets.

Had anyone else noticed that if you run the weapon drop field upgrade, every time you pick up an attachment from the weapon drop, you get all the previous attachments the weapon drop has given you too. You can get an attachment in every slot if you use it enough. It seems pretty powerful but I never see anyone (but me) use it. To be fair it's a late unlock.
Also you can pull the juggernaut Minigun out of it.

Smo Cloud that’s correct. It’s countered by Ghost which Ace is using in his video and he still shows up on the UAV. Silencers are completely pointless in HC now. This is the first game to do that.
@@Zoze13 As a fellow Hardcore player I am taking supressors out of my classes. Until they make a change where it doesn't break Ghost, I'm just going to use Ghost and use FMJ to destroy UAVs.

Sound suppression is still good and the compass ignores players who use them and if a UAV is active the suppressed person is still marked on radar in a single spot like how radar usually pings but disappears after 4 seconds

For myself I think the suppressors are a good feel regardless of what they’re meant for. There’s something about the sound and the way the gun feels that make you play better. In my opinion.
I agree with bringing back the traditional mini-map. The compass was designed with the idea of replacing the mini-map anyway, so having both clutters the HUD.

Something you didn't mention which is another benefit of suppressor, is that they remove muzzle flash. Which makes it easier to stay on target and less distracting imo. That's one of the main reasons I like suppressor still. I really hope this overhaul comes though, reduces base footsteps significantly and make enemy gunfire appear on radar, change suppressor like you said to keep you hidden.

A suppressor in real life is used to eliminate muzzle flash. Yes they also reduce noise but nowhere near the degree movies would have you believe. A suppressed weapon that isn't using soon subsonic rounds is still not hearing safe unless it's like a .22lr. I would have liked him to treat muzzle flash but I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand that it's the main job of a suppressor.
Where does this stuff come in handy though? NVG game mode where any flash is a huge deal.

It's not a super common attachment unlike the other 3. I will cover it in individual guides for the guns that have it
TheXclusiveAce you also didn’t test guns that can use subsonic ammunition in the sound tests. The supersonic crack will always make the shots easier to hear. I would be interested to see if that has any effects on the data you collected

The Oil Can actually is the same thing as the mono supressor. The only difference is that it blocks your iron sights and looks really fucking funny on your gun.

imandark0 I noticed this on the ERB especially. I can double tap now without launching the second round into the international space station.
No muzzle flash means you probably are adjusting your shots subconsciously, you dont lose sight of the target momentarily when you shoot (especially mid-long range)
Gotta put it out there, I like the compass and mini map how they are. Granted it’s easier to process when the red dots are on the mini map but if you can learn to use them properly you gain a massive advantage. Demonstrated by how many people are commenting saying they never even noticed the compass!

So it seems to me that it’s not worth using a suppressor at all for multiplayer from this video. But the hidden stats weren’t mentioned. Doesn’t the mono suppressor have extra bonus stats given that aren’t mentioned? Do these make it worth using?
Combining suppressor with decoy grenades fools enemies 8 out of 10 times. When they start to figure out, you throw decoys on your own location.
Another thing to consider: guns have tracer rounds so sustained fire with a suppressor will give you away unless using the 300 blackout attachment for the m13 ar. Downside besides the pros and cons listed, you cant gather ammo from most of the assault rifles that are on the ground (most use 5.56)

Ok so I used to be a 40-50 kill a game 2-2.5 KD type of player in almost all CODs before this new modern warfare. I know there is camping and we are all adjusting play styles, but it seems like I'm just dying from a couple shots and when I shoot someone it takes half a clip. Or I'll be dead before I'm even able to ADS. I am on PS4 I've used the M4 the mp5 even the 725 shotgun. I am currently at a 1.13 KDR. On PS4 what settings are your running? And what's your network settings like? I have COMCAST as an ISP usually downloads 120-160 Mbps Hardline Like 6 upload (if it matters)... Don't know ping but I'm always under >25 when searching. Last I looked it was below 30. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I am barely getting fully ADS'd before dying.
I hate the people that say this because camping is a plague that ruins fun but, you may be one of the actual players that literally never stopped moving? that's a death sentence in this game you cant be sprinting around corners or out in the open or at all honestly with how dumb the maps are.

Everything about this game rewards bad players and punishes good players. The devs said they wanted to cater to new and bad players (really). TheMarkOfJ did a great detailed video on how good players are punished in this game.

Great video but one thing I think wasn’t mentioned that I would’ve liked to see is that the suppressors also act as muzzle flash hiders, giving you a clearer Sight picture while your firing and making it easier to track your target while shooting at them. apart from that nice job love your videos !

When you look at the game as a whole, it's clear the whole team up at IW were under the influence when making decisions. It's sad and hilarious at the same time.

This is just one of several ways to how IW is catering to campers. Rushing is pretty much an inferior playstyle unless you're constantly checking several possible camping spot at any given moment.

Monolithic is still more of a pro than con for a lot of guns. The reduced sound range for your enemies, as well as an almost free slight range upgrade definitely seems worth it to me.
Hopefully we can convince IW to list these detailed status effects in the gunsmith in a future update. Great work!

@@cuckheadmcgee8490 in team death Match and other game modes (not all) you can't see your deaths mid game, but they have released a watch you can buy in a pack to keep track of your deaths. In other game modes like SnD they don't tell you how many bombs you've planted etc.
I've thrown the monolithic suppressor on a lot of long barreled builds just for the extra range. If the weapon is already controllable or just needs some flavor of foregrip to manage recoil, I enjoy the extra range as well as the limited benefits from being quieter.
The only thing that needs a suppressor in this game are the player’s feet.
I have only tried the Tac surpressor as it hurts the weapon the least imo, now as you heard in the video at those extreme ranges they will not be able to hear you almost at all, but once you get into less then about longshot medal range I would say its doing nothing for you because of how the minimap functions in its current state. I see no reason to run them as is right now. The other barrel attachments are much more helpful to my gunfights.

The suppressors are good because they make the audible direction of the enemy harder to pinpoint.
I get less hunted after killing someone with a suppressor so that's why I use it.
I hope they do bring back the traditional mini map. Only because having 3 things to look at (when you're not camping) is extremely difficult (The Minimap, gameplay/ surroundings from peripheral/ and the compass. From my experience i've noticed a lot of players aren't even using the compass because it's a 3rd thing to look at and it's difficult. I feel like the only people that are using it are the campers in the corner, because they have less things to focus on when they are completely still.
In my opinion i feel like the compass was left there only because devs didn't have time to revert it or change it ( because of other issues or bc they were behind on work) I only say that because in the original state of game, the beta they had removed the minimap completely but it obviously didn't work out. The compass was probably added because they had no more minimap, but with the minmap back it's useless and a pointless way to track shooters.
In smaller modes suppressors are extremely important, especially in 1 life modes. I commonly find myself shooting at an enemy half the map away and they're looking around like an idiot because they have no idea where I am shooting from. Especially since the monolithic supp ADDS dmg range that makes it even deadlier. I find that if you dont use a suppressor people can flick and instantly contest you because the sound is so obvious from where you are shooting from, but from a mid to long range engagement people tend to turn towards your general direction but take an extra second or two to acquire you in their sights and by that time they're dead. It all is reliant on play style of course, I tend to play very sneaky deaky and use positioning.
We need that M4 guide. I can’t find any real difference between the Corvus custom and grenadier barrels.

Jack Knights and in doing so they're forced to run other attachments like stippled grip to compensate for the lack in ADS speed. Ace already told us all the longer range barrels worsen your ADS time.

They need to remove the feature of players' characters yelling "CONTACT" when they see someone. it ruins the game and creates a toxic battleground. If you don't see an enemy, your opponent rightfully deserves you as a kill. its a crutch. they also need to reduce footstep volume.
I think you should consider the differences in suppressed effects depending on the caliber of the gun. For example, supressed subsonic .300 BO is so quiet that its hearing safe and on the M13 that attachment prevents uav pinging. Something like a 7.62 NATO or a 5.56 still breaks the sound barrier suppressed so it would make more sense to not benefit from it as much.
I find myself waiting on these videos like a drug addict waiting for a fix lol. Good work as always.
What is the "damage range" you show on the map at 2:45 ? is it a thresold at which the bullet to kill increase ?
It's just the max damage ranges since I haven't found every range for every gun yet. So the aug for instance will have more dropoff points than I displayed here

Those mechanics for the suppressors make sense to me and would go along with the kind of realism that IW is/was going for. I personally think that they are viable and I use them quite a bit on my SMG classes and find they do help with remaining undetected. In regards to the minimap situation, I really hope they leave it as it is as it does require you to use your brain a little bit to figure out where the enemy is. Though I would like the radius increased a bit to give a little better awareness of where friendlies are. It is not a hard concept to understand and I feel people are not actually trying to adjust to the changes IW has made in regards to gameplay and design. Keep up the great content and I'm really looking forward to the gun guides this year. Cheers Ace!

Car Ramrod unfortunately you have to become a camper to do good which I hate I’m a run and gun player in every other cod but the only way to do good is become the people we hate.
@Car Ramrod I played cod ww2 and cod4 remastered to make sure i hadn't gotten too used to bo4 movement. I rushed fine in both games. So this game is definitely promoting camping very strongly with the map design and footsteps. Even the perk choices help camping too.
@Car Ramrod I'm a high spm player around 400/500. My spm in modern warfare is 250 :/ I've played 10 games that have reached the SCORE limit. That's saddening. So much potential in this game. So I'll give it to November and that overhaul.

@Car Ramrod I don't understand why. I remember the older cods. I'm still quite young so my first that I owned myself was black ops 1. It was just me and my mp5k. Nothing to hold my hand and make the game easier. I learnt from my mistakes and became a much better player over time. It's not rewarding to have things given to you and not have to earn them. That's another problem with this game. Developing gun skill and reaction time isn't rewarded.
They did a great job on the sound for suppressors. Too many games make it so suppressors actually make a weapon silent, when in real life you would still be able to hear it just not as loudly, like in the video around 4:30
It's actually possible to silence some weapons in real life, but you need a good suppressor and subsonic ammo.
I love how the suppressors actually sound realistic.
Well i think the supressor helps with sound, not as in being a stealthy lone wolf but as in the heat of the fight where the enemy is firing and your allies are firing, the enemy will be way less likely to hear or at least to pinpoint your direction by the sound alone. There is not a pure stealth benefit to them but a tactical deception benefit, where the enemy has to actually spot you as a person, remember your not only the heck of a lot quieter compared to your allies, but you also have no muzzle flash wich especially helps in draker corners to not attract atention while still helping your team by actively engaging.

i only use the supressor to disappear on the mini map. its very useful when attacking people already in a gunfight, or from a distance. it often makes them panic and throws them off

Great vid Ace. However, no point in the enemy vise versa using suppressors or ghost anyways because the footsteps are too loud. The enemy can hear you halfway across the map and pinpoint your location. Make ghost like bo2 and dead silence a perk or nerf heavily the footsteps to better sneak up on campers and have a rushing playstyle. The two biggest issues resulting in a camping playstyle are the footsteps and map design, that's why alot of games are not reaching the limit, nobody wants to move around because you get punished for it.
