This is so unbelievably cool looking so far! I used to make costumes mostly out of leather, plastics and metals, real animal horns and imitation fur. That pretty much limited me to Vikings, Barbarians and Samurai Warrior type costumes, but after taking a long (TOO long) hiatus from costume making, since I recently discovered what can be done with EVA foam, the sky is literally the limit!! All the detail on the armor shown here is absolutely beautiful, and these whole pieces WEIGH NOTHING! I'm still using "some" plastics and leather in my costumes (and I got a bunch of cool animal horns that are tempting me to make helmets with!!) but I'm slowly morphing into EVA foam as my main, if not sole source of material. They practically GIVE the stuff away at Harbor Freight Stores, which is almost a SHOCK to me, considering the raw materials alone, that I used on every costume I previously made was about a thousand dollars (well, maybe HALF that.) Now that I've discovered EVA foam, that has opened the door to making ANYTHING! Robots, giant monsters, cybernetically enhanced Super Heroes and Villains, ALL things Sci-Fi that exist in comics, movies, and video games are now achievable. I now, sadly, realize that I can never live long enough to make all the costumes I'd really like to!
Hello Mike I felt the same when I started working with EVA foam. In the shops I worked at for years, it was a sculpting, mold making, casting in fiber glass and casting resin, all very expensive and toxic. Now with foam sky the limit on what you can build!

This was so much fun to watch! It gives me about ... A MILLION IDEAS!!!

You tha beast/best!! Ordering my patterns tomorrow 🖖🏾🤓💕🙌🏾🙌🏾🧚🏾♀️
Awesome I just bought this pattern. I wish you'd have included a video on how you attach them to each other and your arm, since I'm kinda new to this
You could use Velcro, or snaps.
This hits different now that the game is out
This was, my own design. Inspired by the game but not actually from the game.
awesome!

Hi Ted! Thanks again for another AWESOME and VERY INSPIRING video of your amazing skills, and for showing us just what is possible to create in this versatile medium, using your techniques. I've learned so much, and come SO FAR in just the past year (I only discovered you and Bill, and Kamui and others about a year ago) that I'm excited to see just how cool my next project will come out! I recently watched a video, with a guy showcasing, what I think is, a new kind of EVA foam. I can't find it again (I knew I should've written it down, but I was in a big hurry). The foam, he said, was a little stiffer, or harder than most foam floor mats. He said it was a little more expensive and a little rarer or harder to find than floor mats. I think he gave a source for purchasing it, but like I said, I lost it. The foam he showed was WHITE, and like I said, stiff and hard. I'm very interested in purchasing this foam and experimenting with it. Do you happen to know what foam I'm referring to and where I can get it? The foam you're using in this video is white. Is that IT? Any help or guidance info you can give me is, as ALWAYS, greatly appreciated!
Sorry I'm not sure what he was taking about. I'll keep an look out for it.
@@EvilTedSmith Thanks for getting back to me Ted! I really appreciate that!! You are not only the BEST teacher because your skills, and abilities to pass on information and techniques are the best, but the fact that you take the time to respond to your "students" personally, to help them with questions, puts YOU at a whole, other level! Thank you Master! I'll keep a look out for that stiff, white foam, but if you should come across the stuff, I'm sure I'm not the only fan and "maker" who'd love to see you make a video about it!
Nice design--I'm already thinking of how it could be changed a little to look like automail from Full Metal Alchemist! ^_^
Hey Ted, does the circle cutter come with replacement blades, or are they something I buy separately? You just saved me a ton of head aches. Keep up the great videos.
Hey can you do a tutorial on how to make boots but normal kinda like some basic boots for cosplay tho
