This has blessed me so much! My husband told me he doesn’t feel appreciated and I don’t know how to make him feel like I do . I use words to express it but it’s not enough and I don’t know what to do . He is pulling back and won’t open up to me.

This video blessed me too. Ms. Roberts, sometimes men respond to quiet actions. He will probably never tell you but if you send the children away for the weekend, sit him down in front of his tv or whatever, and serve him his favorite meal with nothing but your birthday suit on he will feel appreciated. I just thought this may be of some help one person to another. I wish you much success in your marriage.

May I suggest the book The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. It seems you may be trying to love him with YOUR love language which we often do and that doesn’t work. Praying for you Angela. 🙏 look the book up or author up on You Tube and listen to him speak on this issue.

What we have control over is training ourselves to be content even if they dont want (if they are able) to talk to us.
Letting things go is giving me some peace. I’m grieving that i cant have a marriage that wants to know each other. I have given that up about a year ago. Now i just study and try to improve my ability in not frustrating him and dodging his displeasure. Being incredibly agreeable helps deflect some displeasure but its still an everyday tone. Agreeable and avoidance is my approach at the moment.
These types of videos are so incredibly helpful to wives that their husbands do not talk to them hardly at all. He may not be happy overall not sure.

I completely understand… I just got to a point now where my husband is not happy with the talking about nothing. Yet he allowed me to ramble for 2years… I feel you girl. I want him to have peace in our home.

This is hilariously true but in my marriage it’s the reverse ! I am the talker and outside processor and she is the introspective one who needs time to process etc. Drives me crazy 😝. Help me somebody. I feel like the woman 👩

I dont think this difference will not change. If they are not approachable for a conversation they probably never will be. What we have control over is training ourselves to be content even if they dont want (if they are able) to talk to us.

Dade I told my wife I guess I am the woman because I'm am the processer whom works out details and she is the one that avoids stuff . Drives me nuts because the problem does not fix themselves

This has been helpful...I appreciate this information particularly in relation to "the thought process" on a particular subject because now, when my husband says "I don't know" after I bring forth a topic that I'd since had time to think over, he's not just saying it to brush things off or avoid talking about it...he just needs time to think on it.
