    Shadow Quality: You probably just looked at the scene with the palm tree. However, many objects do not cast a shadow at all if the setting is not set to "very high". This includes, for example, power cables. I would always set this setting to "very high" if possible.

      @@hyper-pronabI don’t think anyone has even benchmarked each settings, they just hear what idiots say and believe them. Shadow quality doesn’t affect performance at all. Grass only affects performance after high. High vs normal is the same fps wise. Post fx is the only one I agree, if ur not using enb put it to high and if u are using enb put to very high. 0:23 in 1440p you can definitely see how FXAA smoothes out the edges on the pavement curb and also on the beige wall below the green hedge in the distance to the right of the image
    4:52 TXAA makes the whole image blurrier, so I would recommend to keep it off.
    at 26:42 you can see there are some missing shadows under your recommended settings bridge because you turned ambient occlusion off

    Hey man great video, it shows a lot of effort but. What you actually should have done to test fps impact is running the benchmark inside gta v on every setting ( i know its a lot of work) for example the advanced settings you said that didnt impact fps on the benchmark showed a 20+ fps improvement when turned off, might be my case but i think that you should give it a look

    9:45 I was expecting you to show the shadows from car and flash lights. They only appear at Very High, so that's why you only get a noticeable impact on Very High
    13:14 it is more noticeable on explosions and gunshots, though you won't even notice if it's min or max while playing, so just keep it at Normal
    21:08 I'm not sure, but I think the Tesselation settings will change from how far the objects get this more detailed texture, just like the Distance Scaling

    • @BachTechNGames
      @BachTechNGames  Рік тому +2

      To avoid stutters, in most cases, you need to cap your FPS at what you can maintain 95% of time you are playing.
      Now in other cases, you can have frametime issues causing stutters without dropping frames, if that is the case then you need to try to slowly cap the FPS lower and lower until the stutters are at an acceptable level.

      Regarding the flickering lights, I have not had the issue myself, but you could try to set Reflection Quality up to Very HIgh or Ultra to see if that helps.
      Regarding the pop ins you need to firstly ensure that you have texture quality on the highest option. Secondly you can try to go higher in the settings that are affecting your VRAM usage, to try to get as much as possible loaded into your VRAM and thereby,. hopefully, avoiding pop ins.

    What settings are cpu heavy?

    • @BachTechNGames

      Population density & varity, particle quality and foliage are the usual suspects. However it is important to remember that you will always have lower fps in online, because your pc has render all the other players and what they are doing. When you combine that with a game that is badly optimized on the CPU, you might not see any difference.

    Why did you check GTA again when the settings / game engine didn't change at all?

      Because I was not satisfied with the first video I made. In that video I tried to test the game based of the benchmark alone, which ended up giving me wrong results. Therefore I wanted to make a new one, to give people better suggestions for settings.

    • @Hybred
      @Hybred 2 роки тому +2

      @@BachTechNGames well I'd like to ask what panel do you view your content on and also what resolution do you play at?
      Because even with UA-cam decompression as someone with an OLED panel meaning I have amazing contrast and everything I can see a noticeable difference between AO off and medium (not a difference between medium and high though) however when viewing it on my IPS display it was much harder.
      I also noticed something similar in your Warzone video where something was very obviously different to me but you thought their wasn't a noticable one. So I think its important to note some changes are very relevant to your display type. How good is the contrast ratio? (AO) How accurate are the colors and how bright can it get (Lighting & Shading) how sharp is it (Texture Quality) these are all things relevant to your display that can effect how noticable those kinds of settings are.
      I found this to be an interesting find and thought I'd share it with you

    • @BachTechNGames
      @BachTechNGames  2 роки тому

      @@Hybred That is a very intestering point you are making. I never thought about the way that could change the outcome and therefore the recommendation.
      I am currently using a 1440p IPS monitor that I think has okay color and contrast, however it is around 5-6 years old by now, so eventhough it was an expensive monitor at the time, I can imagine that is has gotten better with newer monitors.
      I am trying to get my hands on the LG 27GN950 which has amazing color and contrast for an IPS, plus native 4K resolution. However it is sold out every right now. It would be interesting to go back, once I get it, and see if my previous recommendations around AO still holds up, or if I would actually change it.
      Thanks for sharing this, it is an instering view on my videos, that I never thought about myself.

    • @Hybred
      @Hybred 2 роки тому

      @@BachTechNGames My monitor is also an IPS 1440p screen which is where I couldn't really tell the difference when I switched to that.
      But even on an IPS with good contrast for its display type really pales in comparison to the deep blacks any OLED can have or a good VA does, so that may not be enough still. Since most of the PC market uses IPS though your recommendations are probably accurate for most people so don't sweat it

      Unfortunately I am not familiar with the PS5, however usually you can not change settings on the same level as on PC, and therefore your options will often be between Performance and Quality presets.
