@Todd Howard the game came out at 2013 for Xbox 360 and PS3 only, a year later in 2014 it was remastered and ported to Xbox One and PS4, (the best remaster of the decade imo) and in 2015 the game was ported to PC (the best pc port of the decade too imo, the game can run decently on a potato with integrated GPU, on ultra it looks orgasmic, and the mouse and keyboard control is perfect too)

I dont know about Just Cause 4 but Just Cause 3...Everything looks fine at close range but at a distance its just a pixelly mess. Worst Anti Aliasing I have ever seen in a video game.

No, it's not about textures. It's supersampling for polygon-edges. The anisotropic filter improves texture quality it makes them sharper when viewed from a sharp angle.
