This event was such a good time! Which was your favorite jet from the video?? I bet you could guess mine... 😂 Unfortunately I was unable to get the B-58 flown before the event for a few reasons. More on that in another video! 😉
That’s the goal for this week. Looks like I may need to change out some axles too as it looks like one of the main gear axles is bent, but I won’t know until I take it all apart.
Loved this! Mikes ya f15 is sooo sick. And jim's f100 is just stunning in person. Was great to see Bret have sucess with the lil firebird..and kevin Cox is the man for the d558 phase 1!!! So many cool planes. A7 was rippin dude!
Really cool seeing the F-100 fly from different perspective. You just happened to capture my one and only landing in the grass. That could've been edited out. 😊The rest of it was great!
You really captured the feel of the event Chris! It was great to meet you and share tent space. Loved the DC-10 and the F-15 as well, but really looking forward to seeing that B-58 fly! You have done a fantastic job.
Well, it needs more work unfortunately. We attempted to maiden on the way to the event and had landing gear and tire issues. So, working on resolving that now and will try again. I am working on a vid from the day because there’s definitely a story to show, haha!
Great to meet you at Jet Jam Chris! Pretty cool to see one of my planes in your one of your videos. The B-58 looks great, and can't wait to see it fly!
Absolute magic Chris! Seriously, I really enjoyed watching this one, such fantastic models! Especially liked the DC-10 (I know, I like the weird ones...), and the Douglas Skyrocket was super cool as well. Looks like you got to see Jim Case's super nice F-100 Super Sabre; did he bring the SEA version as well? At any rate, they are nice models for sure. Glad to see you enjoying the "East of the Mississippi" Fly-ins and I look forward to more of your coverage. Hope all is well, Cheers!
Enjoyed meeting you and Brian and his dad! Enjoyed sharing the tent really fun and great conversation. I’m partial to your A-7 Corsair very impressive and fast. Loved the BIG F-15 which was also very impressive. Of course your B-58 was the most unique jet there and can’t wait for you to get to fly it. Great video of the event and really showed the variety of aircraft and the continuous flying that went on. I was really impressed with Iron Man Dave Kalwalsky and his wife for their 100 flights in three days!
Sweet demos! Looks really fun if we were doing all that in real aircraft, which I was fortunate enough to do a few times in the T38 Talon and the F16 Falcon.
Thank you! I just have to say, you’re my hero! 😉 flying fighters was always my dream, but couldn’t meet the minimum eyesight requirements to become a pilot. So, opted to become an aerospace engineer instead.
It was there, but The first B-58 flight attempt was unsuccessful and was unable to fly it at the event. There are a few bugs to work out with the landing gear and wheels, so working that out and then will try again. I’m putting together a vid from the day as it’s all part of the journey, though I do wish it went a little differently.
Thanks! The f-15 was a yellow aircraft with twin 100mm fans. Flew so nice! I’m working on a feature vid for the F-15 which will have more info about it in the description.
Unfortunately it hasn’t flown yet. We tried before the event but landing gear and tire issues kept it from getting off the ground. I’m working on fixing that all now so should fly soon hopefully.
Great video Chris is that one in Montana? We're looking at moving to there or South Dakota. Joe Null is so close to the house and Top Gun is just in Florida. Might be my deciding factor and my parents are getting older too.
So, let me get this straight. The F-15 was intended to be a turbine powered plane (perhaps Skymaster?), but the builder put a pair of 90-105mm EDFs on 6-12s in it?
Yeah, was having tire problems that resulted in them acting like brakes. So, couldn’t get up to flying speed. I’m working on replacing all of the tires and also looking at a larger axle too.
Yeah, it was a scratch built composite model my friend made. I’ll be putting together a detailed vid on it as I had him talk about it on camera. It was insanely cool!
I mentioned it in the description, but We attempted unsuccessfully to fly it before heading to the event. Bottom line is, it needs more work. Was having tire issues that was keeping it from getting to flying speed.
That is a model I have been building on the channel (this is the playlist bit.ly/RCB58Build). It’s one of only about 5 in existence and was tooled up by a good friend of mine. I’m hoping to get it flown here soon. I wasn’t able to get it flown before the event due to some teething problems with the landing gear and wheels when trying to fly it before the event.
Hi there Chris! Great and unbeliviable job with the B-58! I salute YOU. Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow we will see one great air show right here over my home town TURKU, FINLAND. B-1B Lancers, USAF. F-35, RAF. F/A-18s (Finland and Switzerland). F-16s (Belgium and The Netherlands) and lots of it and everything...ha-haa. We have also seen Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Patrouille de France and some other Butt-Monkeys here during the years... Oh yes, right here at my home town; TURKU, FINLAND. Oh, btw. at the same time the largest passenger cruiser ever "Icon of the Seas" is being built here at my home town, TURKU, FINLAND. And during this weekend it is being tested at the sea... Anyway; I would like to build an A-7, my favourite... Perhaps you could help me? Take care Chris.
I tried flying it on the way to the event (unsuccessfully) but landing gear and tire issues kept it from getting off the ground. I’ve posted quite a bit about it and also made a note in the description. I’m working on fixing that all now so should fly soon i hope.
Trust me, no wants to see it fly more than me. But sometimes on a new, mostly unproven model things don’t go as planned. I tried on the way to the event to maiden it and was unsuccessful due to some issues with the landing gear and wheels (was mentioned in the vid description). Im in the process of fixing it and will try again soon. It happens and this one is pretty complex, so need to take the time to make sure everything is right before trying again.

I love the DC10
As usual I love the A7 so much!
My Favorite, the twin 100mm F-15. Thanks for sharing. B-58 new sneakers on yet?

Mikes F-15 ripped man, it was sweet!

Haha, sorry man, that was the only landing I had. 😉. Such a sweet finish on that hun, so cool!
I have to WOW!! On that flying site. Great videos and those edfs sure move along
You really captured the feel of the event Chris! It was great to meet you and share tent space. Loved the DC-10 and the F-15 as well, but really looking forward to seeing that B-58 fly! You have done a fantastic job.
Thank you! I enjoyed meeting you and everyone else out there. I’m looking forward to next year and being able to fly the hustler next time. 😊
Hi Chris
You have done an incredible job with the B58......when are we going to see it fly?
Well, it needs more work unfortunately. We attempted to maiden on the way to the event and had landing gear and tire issues. So, working on resolving that now and will try again. I am working on a vid from the day because there’s definitely a story to show, haha!
@@simonpells7405 I built a B-58 model 50 years ago. F I'm old.
Definitely the best display of rc aircrafts, that I have EVER seen. You guys rock.👍
Thank you!
A ton of gorgeous planes but the F100 and the DC10 really stood out to me
The Super Sabre was such a sexy, classic looking fighter.
Great to meet you at Jet Jam Chris! Pretty cool to see one of my planes in your one of your videos. The B-58 looks great, and can't wait to see it fly!
Thank you, it was great meeting you as well! The hustler will hopefully be flying soon no still need to replace all of the tires on it though.

had a great time -- can't wait till next year. Thanks for the cool vid
Enjoyed the F-15 representing the 32nd TFS, Soesterberg, the Netherlands
Sweet planes. The F-15 was spectacular.

Great snapshot video Chris, and the sluf looked awesome!
Thanks 👍
I kinda like all of them. But having seen Jims F-100 the finish is amazing . And yeah your A-7 was flat out hauling ! 😮
I loved Jim’s F-100, it was gorgeous!
Hats off to the camera crew!
Thank you!
And the winner for the lowest flyby……. Navy A7-E CORSAIR II. Just like my buds and I did in the full scale version! Beautiful! Thanks!
Woohoo!
All amazing models - what a fantastic show! Sorry the B-58 didn’t fly 😢 hope you get it sorted out. Thanks for sharing this 👏👏👏
Thank you, I appreciate your kind support!
very nice ! tnx for sharing....
That's a beautiful A-7!
Thank you!
That F86 was agile, the Corsair II was fast as hell! I like the eagle too, but where was the B58?
It was there, but The first B-58 flight attempt was unsuccessful and was unable to fly it at the event. The Super Sabre looked fast , even when it was cruising.
It was a super nice looking airplane, so cool!
Ah, the humidity of the Midwest. I can literally smell the Ohio River seeing this.
Haha
Awesome video!
Id like to hear more about that F15 :)
Thanks! The f-15 was a yellow aircraft with twin 100mm fans. Flew so nice! I’m working on a feature vid for the F-15 which will have more info about it in the description.
@@Thercgeek thanks for the reply! Following for future video/details on F15 for sure!
I did not see the Hustler flying.... I better watch again.
It was in Elizabeth Indiana near Louisville.
I'm going to have to start checking for more events.
There are a number of them in this area of the country. It’s pretty awesome.
So, let me get this straight. The F-15 was intended to be a turbine powered plane (perhaps Skymaster?), but the builder put a pair of 90-105mm EDFs on 6-12s in it?
The F-15 was intended for whichever power system the builder chose. 😉 😆
@@Thercgeek Do you know who the manufacturer was?
It was a Yellow Aircraft. Flew so sweet with the twin fans!
Was that Scott Crossfield in the D558 phase-1?
I think so! 😆
saw the Hustler on the ground and was excited to watch it fly, did not see it , then saw your comment, hope it was something minor.
Yeah, was having tire problems that resulted in them acting like brakes. So, couldn’t get up to flying speed. I’m working on replacing all of the tires and also looking at a larger axle too.
Any more info on the UMX EDF?
Yeah, it was a scratch built composite model my friend made. I’ll be putting together a detailed vid on it as I had him talk about it on camera. It was insanely cool!
When is the B-58 going to fly? I need to see the Hustler hustling... LOL
I mentioned it in the description, but We attempted unsuccessfully to fly it before heading to the event. Bottom line is, it needs more work. Was having tire issues that was keeping it from getting to flying speed.
@@Thercgeek OK great, thanks for the reply. Take time to get it perfect, we want to see hours of flying time. LOL
what is the name of the model mfg of the B58 or is it a scratch built??

Don't show me the B-58 then not include it in the flying.
