Love your dedication to the GT - well done. So interesting to see how these cars can rust and what is involved in the repair. I lived in UK for 22 years till 2010 and it was certainly an education when buying classic cars there, when the seller said the body was in excellent condition... ! Now back in OZ, I really appreciate the situation we have here more than ever. Older English cars from the 50/60s etc are on the whole pretty damn good, depending of course how they have been looked after. Structurally they can be very good, with some small localised rust if ever. It is the trim which can suffer here due to the Suns UV and heat etc, again it is down with how it has been looked after. Before I left for the UK in the 1980s, I owned an 1967 MGB GT imported in the late 60s. I recently found it again online 4 sale after 40 odd years. I bought her back and she is still original, body and paint, no rust, unlike myself ha ha. Amazing.
Thanks, yeah tbh I probably have a particularly poor example but I'm this deep now. Must be nice to pickup cars with a nice patina that isn't stone rotten underneath it haha Thanks for watching
Thanks lad, yeah it's a time consuming rotbox haha keeps me busy though, everyone's take on patches is different, next upload is the drivers floor pan, that was a mess

By aerosol rust inhibitor and spray up the pillar that should neutralize any rust .
