hey guys didn't upload yesterday due to the labor day holiday (my family went boating!! and i vlogged it!! so stay tuned for that!!) but here is the video I was planning to upload. it's a light & dark, black & white, pinterest & academia-inspired lookbook on what the different college majors, specifically all of the majors I've studied in the past, would wear according to pinterest moodboards. this was super fun to film AND edit. I really went ham with the movie & tv show references, and I also tell you a couple of ~juicy stories~ on why these majors and I fell in love... and why we eventually parted ways.

Honestly, same. Whenever I'm on campus (and even when I'm not) it's a sweater and some leggings or jeans that I found in my closet, hair tied up, and usually no make up because ain't nobody got time (or energy!) for that lmao

Not really. Thrift shopping helps a lot if you don't have a lot of money, plus It's more ecological and you can find some unique pieces.

not really,, ive seen people make AMAZING OUTFITS and i mean omg they are gorgeous and its stuff from thrift stores or clearance- they just know how to style things and you also just have to know where to look because ive seen so many expensive things that are much less fashionable.
This does kinda apply here since we don't have thrift stores in my country and the cheaper options are usually terrible.

How often do you wash your clothes if a shirt that hasn't been washed in three days is such a big deal. If it's not dirty, don't wash. Waste of water and releases fiber into lakes and rivers.
Honestly.. if I take off a shirt and it still smells great (Bc I do like NO labor throughout the day) I’ll just fold it and put it back in my drawer 🙃

@@user-ff5so3mx1n I'm sorry but your friends sound like they have problems. Or they sweat a lot and/or they do stuff daily that makes theirs clothes dirty immediately. Unless your friends don't sweat more and ordinary person and don't do much during a day, they are ruining their clothes by washing them too much and also they release fiber and other ingridients from the clothes to the water cycle more than a person who doesn't wash them daily.

You can switch majors whenever you want really at most american universities. I switched my major about 3 times, which is pretty normal. Once you get to your third year or so, switching becomes a pain because you'll almost certainly be adding on another year or two

I have three things to say:
-YES I want a PART 2. This video was hella fun.
-After watching a few of your videos, I learned I can wear whatever I want as long as I don't hide my waist.
-While watching this I was literally imagining myself in each of these uni courses. I need to decide next year. I need HELP. 🤣🤣🤣
next year NEXT YEAR I NEED TO DECIDE NOW i have limited my choices to a couple of options and by couple i mean anything that doesn't include the medical field other then that they are all still an option
Reflect and observe yourself. There probably are a couple of subjects you find interesting. To find on which one you wanna study think about questions like: in what place do you want to work after college (country, inside or outside, lab,...)?; what is important to you (stability, freedom, money, having many possibilities with a degree)? Do you have something that you love but what you are scared of doing and are you willing to do it although you're scared? If you find something that you may like but aren't sure about, search for similar majors
But honestly, it's totally ok to feel overwhelmed by this decision and to need some time. I took a gap year only because I didn't know what to do and it was the best decision I could have made. I'm now starting uni and I hope I've chosen the right subject😅 (in my country you only study one or two subjects, you can't choose just pretty much any course you want like you could in the US and changing your mayor is way harder)
@@Lena-oe9jq Yeah, I think I'm going to take a gap year as well. I live in the UK, and the uni system sounds similar to yours. I've been thinking about it a lot recently and I think I have narrowed it down to a few options that I'd be happy with. I reckon I'll probably end up applying for two different degrees and see which unis accept me. 😛

Idk why everyone thinks being a lawyer means you're rich. After graduating 50% don't get a job and the other 50% don't get a satisfying salary
Probably because of movies and shows like Suits and stuff that have been portraying lawyers as uber rich. Plus some parents' obsession with demanding their kids be lawyers/doctors/engineers to make lots of money and people growing up with the idea that those jobs pay a lot (when really it'll just leave students paying a lot in debt). It's wild.
Well some lawyers are rich aren’t they? The truth is in the long run if you are power hungry and want to achieve a stable life, being a lawyer give you that. The point is that lawyer degree gives that compare to some other degree. If you become a lawyer that do pro bono work, of course you won’t be rich. Saying that lawyers are rich is a fact that in the long run a lawyer can make more money than some other degrees out there. That is all. I’m accounting majors and I can’t say that accountant aren’t rich, more like if you really want to go deep in to the accounting field you will always have a job in so many industry. Doesn’t mean some people with that degree aren’t rich. Also saying someone is rich doesn’t mean they are millionaires. It just means they are upper middle class. Most people with degree won’t be in the upper middle class until they are in their 40’s to 50’s. So patience.!
I guess it's different for every country... Here it's actually uncommon to be a law student who doesn't work at a law firm or something related to the major.
You can start working as a junior while continuing your studies, all at the same time. It's pretty normal, actually

I don't know that you can take multiple majors in America, in my country we only enter one major and it's going to be for the whole 4 years. You get to choose your course in first year and that's it, if you don't like the course you shift to another course but you need to take another exam for them to accept you, depending on how difficult the course your shifting too.

So excited for a part two :) any medical majors would be interesting to see. I was an aerospace engineer major but switched to Biochemistry half way through freshmen year! I can assure that my attire consist of lots of hoodies and 3 pairs of sweats, super happy to see what cute fit you got planned out!!!
