Driving down to Bahía de Los Ángeles has been a bucket list fishing trip of mine for a long long time! Fishing aboard the Tony Reyes Mothership was an amazing trip and a great way to get my feet wet in the Sea of Cortez.
Actually staying in a small fishing village and seeing the culture first hand is a whole different experience!
From the road trip there, to the scenery, the amazing food, and everything that comes with the journey there! The incredible fishing, is just a bonus!
Such a fun day of fishing with Captain Joel Jr for Cabrilla and Yellowtail!
Broke my PB with my first fish of the day with a 14.5 lb Cabrilla.
Can't believe this was only day 1 on the Panga, and we had a full 2 more days of panga fishing to look forward to! Such a blast fishing out here in Bay of LA, and I cannot wait to do it again!!

bahia was my favorite trip ive ever been on cant wait to go back
I’m going back in May and am so fricken excited!
Lucky dog, we went in October and bottom fished for yellowtail, it's a battle bringing those guys up to the surface and troll for mahi
@@SquadFishing yeah October is much hotter and pushes the yellows down deep, during the spring time like April-May is when they’ll be up splashing around
This is the best type of fishing in BOLA, my favorite thing to do when we go down there! Great video!
Thanks man! Yeah I love cabrilla fishing. The style of fishing is so much fun and the power and challenge of landing a big one makes it so much more rewarding when you do get a big one!
Good shit, Ray. Looks like an absolute blast!
Thanks brotha, such a fun day!
Always good to see one of the OGs in the comments! Thanks for the continued support man👊
Another great video. Cabrilla fishing may be my new favorite way to fish although I've never done it....yet! LOL
Hahaha it’s definitely my favorite way to fish, and these little adventurers acouple times a year just isn’t enough.
I just need to move to Baja lol
I hear you brotha! Me too!
I'd love to hear that cervesa story. LOL
Might be a future episode, it’s a pretty funny backstory.
Happy early thanksgiving! Always gotta watch the new dirty hookers video, can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks Matthew! Still playing catch up on comments rn lol.
Happy holidays man!
Do you think a 8" M1 inshore rated 10-25 good enought for cabrilla?
Might be alittle on the light side. I would recommend 15-30 lb minimum.
As you see some days, like this one, a lot of the fish can be 5 - 13+ lbs, and those 10+ lbers are tough to stop on 20-50lb rods with 60-80 lb leader
How do I enter 😅
