- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Lexus CT200h. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

@coffeeman220 It engages the inverter to create an artificial engine brake and charges the battery more quickly. Very useful on downhills.

kyle, you haven't done any used cars in a while, could you do a few videos at your dad's dealership if u get a chance? the new car videos take up a lot of time to watch, but they are nice.

@shuffleman321 That's because on the Hihgway he have to run constantly on gas, but in the city he can use the electric-mode, the traffic light shutdown, the fuel cut-off system when running to a red light,..... and stuff like that.Hope I answered your question ;)
@cupramac you're right, its unfortunate that we dont get as many diesel technology here in the states.
do you rent cars to review or does the dealership let you review them or do you buy them?
The only thing I don't like about this vs the Prius is having the dated looking gauges. I mean for a normal IS250/350 sure, but I think the CT needs a little more updates with the instrumentation.

@arielatom03 no it is 43 city, hybrids generally have higher city numbers than highway numbers
Also, there is a small hidden compartment for you reading glass/sun glass, just by your rear view mirror.

Well, everyone has different opinions and tastes, personally I enjoy this car. Good interior and exterior features. Of course people will dislike it if it doesn't fulfill what they are looking for. You can have see the car in person, and go for a test drive to see well it maintains, if you are looking to buy a car.
Also, stop comparing this to Sports cars. This is meant for the city, not for the race tracks.
@TheAuto101 ppl seal them wont stop someone from stealing the car. but hey lol. my main gripe is hte heighth of the centre console
how come you go all the way to las vegas which is 35 hrs away and not to Charlotte Lexus if there is one im from australia. and how do you get there but plane or car
@shuffleman321 For this Hybrid system, you will realise that driving in the city actually use lesser in the city. On the highway its runs alot of engine, however in city conditions it uses quite abit of the electric motor therefore the lower mpg

With the Golf Bluemotion and Ford Econetic returning well over 60 mpg Toyota/Lexus hybrids have a lot to answer for.

@TheAuto101 Well, if the cars were in car shows they take the shift knobs so other people can't take them. Put in a dealership I don't know why. Maybe when people go on test drives alone ?
@k20Tuner08 good point. well, still not that smart. they need to replace the batteries at some point which cost quite a lot.
@schecterguitarsfan nothing wrong with the hybrid, i'd just prefer something along the lines of the mazda3speed, except for the fwd.

@PianoandCarcrack94 but at the end of the cars life, the batteries can be recycled. btw i dont own a hybrid lol. just pointing that out. In the long run, it is more environmentally friendly than a hummer

that beeping noise would drive me crazy! I have a question about about the mpg, did you say that it gets 43 city, and 40 highway? Isn't it normally the other way around?
Like I said before, you can mute the beep. it is a Simple command in the setup screen

@TreCamachoLives Probably not, hybrid cars are in cities a bit more efficient due to the electro-engine. They can't use electro engines on the motorway, so the petrol engine has to work a bit harder. While driving in a city, the petrol engine is supported by it's electro-brother, so it has to work less hard = less fuel consumption in the city.
