On day 7 my scabs started to fall off and they were gone by day 10. At 2 weeks I had a full head of hair, but then…. 3-5 weeks the shock loss happened! I’d say 4-10 weeks was the ugly duckling phase for me At 8 weeks new hair started to grow, I’m now at 3 months and it’s really coming through now. I’ve read loads about FUE and it does sound like everyone has different results at different times.
@@Zen-t2j Yea I had a full head of hair approx 3mm long, as if I shaved me head grade 1. It then fell out so my head looked patchy. I’m just approaching 4 months, it’s looking really good now. The hairs are thin but I’d say I’ve got over 30/40% coverage and i can actually style it. People who I haven’t seen in a few weeks can’t believe how good it’s looking.
@@m-0769 wow that's crazy how it was full so soon. I got a HT done too about 5 weeks ago and had some hairs at the start but it was never full. I can't wait for a couple more months to see what it looks like. Glad yours is doing well!
@@Zen-t2j I think everyone’s different. It’s just a slow process, I was checking my hair Daily. Worrying that it wouldn’t work. As soon as I got to month 3 it started coming through. I started taking Finasteride 1 Month before the opp, maybe this has helped speed up the process. My original hair definitely feels thicker and I’ve had no side affect. I’ve been advised to stick with it until late 40’s
7-8 months in, mine is looking stron on the hairline but weak to the transition to where the real receded line is. Hope it starts coming through back there soon
@@Zen-t2j it's evened out, but sill a bit too low on density. 10 months in now. Will have to see how it is in another half year. Maybe will choose to top up the area agter that point.
I read in an article that once you get the surgery you may start losing more hair in the area you got surgery because your hair is shedding old dead hair for it’s new hair. Is that true? I’m in month 2 after surgery and I feel like I’m losing a lot of hair now and my thinning is very noticeable now.. much more than before
From what I've read it depends on the severity of the shock loss and how much damage was done to the blood vessels of the scalp and the effect that this has had on blood circulation. But from what I've researched, most shock loss will sort itself out after several months, so it is better to wait it out before reaching any conclusions.
Yes, it is worrying when it happens though! I lost all my new hairs between 3-5 weeks. I’m now at 3 months and they’ve started re growing back. It’s part of the process
I went to get my hairline done, it’s bald in the corners. My doctor to me my donor area was too thin tho, so I suggested he takes from my pubic region. He said it would work. It’s been 10 months and it did work except my hair is straight and in the corners it’s super curly with crabs. What should I do about this? My doctor won’t answer my calls anymore

At 2 weeks your head was actually full of new hair? As if you got a transplant a year ago?

Very helpful, thanks, doc!
Some guys have a full set by month 4 and some guys barely has it come out by month 4
Lol I was the latter, didn't see serious growth till month 6. By month 10 I saw a lot, I was where some guys are at 5 months
Hello ,Dr where is your clinic located
We are located near Minneapolis, MN, USA
Is it possible to sprout new hairs at 6 months and beyond ?
Can hairs fall out within the first 2 weeks? I feel like when I’ve gently been washing my hair, there’s been quite a few falling out already
Yes, shedding is part of the process.
Thank you so much
