I have those kilns also and love them. Did you know that if you want to make larger beads with holes (for example ) you would take 2 pieces of glass that would lay pretty well on each other but before you sandwich them you cut a thin piece of your kiln paper making sure it sticks out about 1/8 out of each end then fuse, afterwards when cool just soak in a bowl of water, paper will dissolve and voila...you have a bead with a hole in the center...Loved your earrings and how you made beautiful use of the shards !
I have tried to make some beads that way, my skill level isn't great but I haven't played with my kiln for awhile so it may be time to get it back out. Thanks again for watching.
Ooo Cindy, I wish all of us were Recycling & saving the planet. The world would be a better place w/out overfilled land fills.......ugh. & animals would not be suffering or choking themselves with recyclables in the water's...blessings friend&thank u4ideas! Right now I just wish I had space for all the recyclables I want to save😔 ....
I’d like to warn your viewers of one issue. Different glass pieces from different objects can’t always be fused together. The different types of glass will crack when fused together. You can fuse the same bottle’s pieces with each other but run risk of cracking when fusing different bottles with each other. If you’re experiencing cracking of your pieces after fusing from different glasses that is likely why. Cindy is keeping her pieces separate and gluing them.
Hi thanks for your question. You should be able to find the small kiln kit for under a hundred dollars. Right now you can find them for $50.00 on amazon. amzn.to/3tuFUA1

Hi Janne - Thanks for your question. You heat the klin in the microwave and it melts and fuses the glass. I hope that answers your question.
