As a cancer survivor myself, your positive attitude is a GREAT start. Continuing with that attitude will provide you the strength you will need. Your youth is another plus to help you cope with the upcoming procedures. I visualized what the cancer cells looked like in my mind and destroyed them mentally. That sure helped me gain control over myself mentally. STAY POSITIVE. You will live a LONG life.....
Jess, I like Daniel's approach. His reminds me of another UA-cam vlogger I've followed over 2 years Romee Dussenbroek. You are both around the same age. She is coming out the other side on her Cancer Free journey now. Maybe look at her beginning vlogs over 2 years ago when she went through this same type situation. She's from the UK Netherlands, is very positive, has a twisted sense of humor 😂 and group of positive family, friends, and online supporters. She froze eggs too so don't feel uncomfortable about doing this. As a mother, retired nurse, and avid watcher of your mom, dad and your vlogs you've got the best side covered with positive, loving, and caring support. Everyone is of different faith. I believe one not greater than others because we all pray. I choose to call mine God and I will be continuing to pray for you Jess. That you be wrapped in the wings of healing Angels who be there for you and your team of caregivers. Big hug 🤗.
I’m an oncology nurse in the states and I’m sending you so much love and encouragement. You are young, strong, and otherwise, healthy and you’ve got this girl!!!
Meghan thank you for what you do. I had to do 16 rounds of chemo with 6 different chemos. I didn’t have any support so I was extremely grateful for my chemo nurses. My mom went with me on my first chemo but oncologist told her this wasn’t about her but me and she is no longer welcome. My mom told her and myself this is an inconvenience to her. It hurt real bad. So I just deal with alone.
@@darlalitton4598 I’m so sorry you have had to go through this alone. Here in the UK we have an organization called McMillon nurses and they are a charity to support those suffering from Cancer. Please try and find some sort of support organization I’m sure there must be plenty in USA but I’m sending you a virtual hug. ❤️❤️
Jess, as a nurse I am VERY impressed by how well you explained your journey and diagnosis. You are a very bright young lady! I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers.
hi my mom is going through chemotherapy for ovarian stage 3 currently how has your recovery been after chemo in 2016 how many times did you go through chemo till now till 2023
@@TheThegirlbehindyou9 I've had 2 recurrences since my remission in 2017. Once in 2019 and once in 2022. Recovery has been really good after each chemo. It takes time to get your strength back though. I had a total of 10 chemos in 2016/17. Six chemos in 2019 and 8 chemos in 2022.
I noticed the look on your mom's face in her last few videos. I could see worry in her voice. My prayers are with you and your family. You have a wonderful support team to get you through this with flying colours. Let us not forget all those wonderful little lambs who had struggles as well. With your wonderful mom at your side, she will climb every mountain with you during your journey through this and see you succeed and accomplish all your dreams.
Sweet Jess, What courage it must have taken you to share your medical journey with your subscribers. It sounds like you have a wonderful medical team, hard working parents as advocates for you and a loyal fan base to pick you up when you are down and rally behind you. Take one day at a time. You've got this!
Jess…..we have all watched you “grow up” through your mom’s posts. You and your family are beautiful souls, and deserve the best life has to offer. You have MANY people praying for a complete and fast recovery. The fact that you caught this early means a great chance of a COMPLETE recovery for you. We will all keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Much love from the state of Delaware, USA.
@@Gary_Fairbrother They’re saying congratulations as stage 1 is the best stage of cancer as you have like (spit balling) 70%+ of survival in most cases. It’s a small victory in a war of attrition.
As a doctor and cancer survivor myself I admire how exact you told the story and how clear headed you are in this moment. Your are an extraordinary and strong young woman! I am not that much into "always be positive" I am more of a "when it is shitty let me call it shitty" and being tolerant and nice to yoursalf even in bad times without having to put up a smiling /brave face. It helped me to get through it quicker. But you and your family will find your way to deal with this. You are surrounded by love and good people.
Dearest Jess - As a retired nurse, I think the plans your physicians and surgeon have outlined for you are on target. Your description was worded correctly, but I’m sad you’re worried about that. You have a great attitude. I will say prayers to God for a smooth and successful course of treatment. Having Piper to bolster your strength is wonderful. Tell your family that I am so thankful that they love you so much. If you were my daughter, I would be encouraged for your future. I am giving my utmost love and support from Southern California. You got this! ❤
Hi Jess, I’ve been following your mom for a few years now and started following you and your college days. I have never commented on any UA-cam but felt compelled to do so now. Sending you a huge hug, hugs give strength in many ways. I will keep you and your family in my prayers along with many positive thoughts. By the way, I absolutely love your haircut! I so admire your courage! You go girl, you’ve got this!!!
I have no idea who you are, but you popped up on my recommended. Hope you are doing well; cancer is no fun at all. Stay strong, and find strength in your family as well, having people you love around helps so much with your mental state. Keep fighting!
You shared your story so eloquently despite it being such a heavy subject. Sending you a big hug. My brother was diagnosed and treated for cancer at 26, stage 4, and last month he hit fours years of remission! While only having experienced it as a sister, a cancer diagnosis can feel very surreal and so bloody overwhelming. The world shifts. But friends and family are there for you and you have everyone on your side
I am so sorry to hear this Jess. I wondered a few days ago while watching your Mom’s video, I could see the terror in her eyes, it broke my heart as I have a daughter your age as well. She loves you so fiercely!! Thank you for telling us with such clarity and grace. I’ll be standing shoulder to shoulder with all the other prayer warriors on your channel and your Mom’s asking for complete healing for you, wisdom for your doctors and peace and strength for your whole family. Sending you love and hugs from Northern Ontario. (About 8 hours North of you!) ❤
Positive thinking. You will get through this. I have put you on my prayer list and will pray for your healing. Prayer is very powerful. God bless you sweetheart.
Thank you for sharing. I’m from your mommas page. I will be here and there watching for updates, praying for you all. Even if prayers are not your thing.. it can’t hurt 😉. If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know. Many of us have watched you guys grow over the last few years and would love to have the chance to offer support. You are beautifully strong. YOU GOT THIS!
Amen to Cheryl B's comment. I am also from your Mom's page. Prayers for all of you. Continue to be strong and positive.. I'm a retired hospice physician and I truly know what being positive can do. Go kick some Cancer Ass!
Blessings Jess - you are so brave to come online and tell us about your journey. We just knew it was something serious, but this video is showing all of your followers just how strong you are! And mom and dad too. Lots of prayers are surrounding you and your family.
I'm a retired surgical nurse, and you have a great grasp on your diagnosis and treatment plan. WAY BETTER THAN MOST FOLKS! Stay positive and stay INFORMED!
One thing for you to take away from the comments section, we all hope and pray for a speedy recovery for you, but don’t feel you have to come back and make a video for us if you don’t feel up to it! We completely understand if you want to take some time off, especially in these circumstances.
At thirty six and unmarried I developed a problem and I had to have a hysterectomy. I felt sad but when I came out of surgery my father was there holding my hand while I was throwing up. He was a tough guy I never realized how sensitive he was and how much he loved me. The married lady next to me said she wished her husband had at least visited her. Meanwhile I must mention to you that before they rolled me down to surgery they checked to see if I had underwear on and I did. My father then informed everyone that I didn't have bloomers on. Gotta love parents.
Jessica, waiting for your " I beat cancer." video. Great soul you are and beautiful energy which is exactly what is needed to do anything: beating cancer, developing oneself, spreading hope, transforming society and of course changing the world!
Hi Jess, I’m 23 and just finished 6 months of chemotherapy and am now cancer free. The process was hard but you can get through it and it’ll feel so amazing when your on the other side of it. You’re stronger than you think you are ♥️ sending you lots of love
Thank you for sharing something so private, I'm sure it was hard to put this out there for everyone, its helps understand why your mom has been so emotional lately as well in her videos. It's got to be so scarey for everyone. You are very brave for sharing and hopefully it helps someone else go get checked out by seeing this.
Hi … you may find you don’t need Cemo …as it’s stage one or even if it’s stage 2 … you may be offered radiotherapy instead … I had stage 2 and was give 12 rounds of radiotherapy only … no cemo …. That was 8 years ago … all the best .. (( big hug ))
@@babsbyrne1464 this is exactly what they was trying to say when she said ‘I have a team of doctors, please be mindful with your comments” With all respect, you are not a doctor and no 2 patients or diagnosis are the same. Kindly, Your opinion isn’t wanted or needed.
As someone who has less than half an ovary left due to Stage 4 Endometriosis you have all my sympathies with your journey so far. I'm sorry one cyst has gone more rogue than the others but I'm sure you'll kick it's ass! I'm so glad your doctor took you seriously from the start! We need more doctors like them. Sending virtual hugs to you and everyone close to you!
I too hoped it was endo. I've had a complete hysterectomy due to endo and really, that wasn't as scary as when I had cervical cancer and had sections of my cervix removed. Fortunately, I beat the cancer and adjusted to menopause before 40 just fine. I will be praying for Jess and her family, very hard. It really bothers me how good and hard working families get dealt with this stuff sometimes.
@@ReleaseCanineAZ I did too and they left just enough ovarian tissue for another huge endometrioma to grow back. I was in my late 40s and decided on a full hysterectomy so I wouldn’t have to worry.
That can’t have been an easy update, but I thank you for your willingness to share. Please take whatever time you need to focus on YOU. Your community is cheering you on from all over the world (this fan is from just outside Boston, Massachusetts). Sending you and your family so much love, healing, and support. ❤
Cancer survivor here! I got diagnosed with cancer in 2017 with 25 & been through chemo & all that stuff. Such a diagnose hits you hard, I know. But you got this, girl. You can do it. I wish you all the best & much love! With the kindest regards from Northern Germany.
Cancer doesn't exist, only in the civilization. Only paleolitic diet and lot of sun can help you. Eat fat instead of carbohydrates. That's it, good luck people.
I noticed the cancer treatments can save some but fail others,it must be base off what type of cancer you have and the type you have.I know people who gotten worse off of treatment and died and people who survived.it’s strange..
Holy wow. What a brave & poised young lady you are! I came to your channel via your mom’s channel, and I am so sad to hear this news! Although if anyone can get through something like this - it’s Sandi and Mark’s daughter! I wish you a safe surgery with the best most optimal results and a sure and speedy recovery. You got this!
Our daughter got diagnosed with cancer at 2 years old, on her birthday. Her treatment plan was over a year. People warned us how bad chemo was..... our daughter improved by her second round of chemotherapy. Our oncologist told us that's what would probably happen. She had stage 4, high risk, neuroblastoma and is currently 2 years No Evidence of Disease!!! She did incredible good with all the treatments! Sending you prayers and hugs! Stay strong!!! ❤
As an oncologist myself I will keep my prayers ongoing for her. This type of cancer is very prone to recurrence and is not something to overlook. Constant testing is vital for the rest of her life. I wish her well
@@JohnsmithQqqq yes it is, she's has scans, blood work and urine tests every 6 months..... we started at every 3 months. When her oncologist said we are good to start every 6 months..... let's just say I'm even more anxious now. I felt like having them every 3 months was safer. If she was going to have relapsed we would catch it in 3 months not 6 but we have a great team taking care of her and an awesome pediatrician! When the oncology team tells you we will become more like family when you start a journey such as ours.... it's true. Thank you for what you do!
God's so gentle and good, he must have answered your prayers. Lets all pray just this same way for Jess.. she can beat this and still keep her overies in the end. Everyone praying together has more power then just one💕
Well young lady. As a mum of children about your age. I hug you so fiercly from afar. You told your story with such grace and integrity Jessica. Thank you. Love to all of you. Terri
@Terri - yes, I too am the mama of similarly aged young adults …. I’m new to the channel but asked if she was a college student because she reminds me so much of my college aged ones/friends. She is awfully poised and graceful in the face of a frightening diagnosis and treatment plan to come.
I really hope that you come out of this healthier and stronger. You will win over cancer and that's an undeniable fact. Sending healing energy your way.
My sister and I both went through this, I was 18 and I am now 45 next month, my sister was 25 she is now 47. All my love and prayers on your healing journey Jess. You are a strong, intelligent and beautiful woman you got this. It won't be easy at times but your strong support system will get you through.
Praying for you and your family. It took a lot of courage for you to make this video. Because of you and your moms videos, you have thousands and thousands of people rooting for you. Long journey ahead, but you are strong.
Almost didn't write anything. Hard for me to talk on this subject with out choking up. My Daughter also had cancer. It was a 2 year roller coaster for us and it was (still is)hard for me, so I can say I know what you and your parents are going through. My daughter is now 2 years free. Hang in there kido, Lots of hugs and love from Germany (rob)❤❤❤
Prayers sent up for your Daughter & family. God is good! He will help you all through this. Please Don't be mad at him. He has overcome the storm! Sending Love and Hugs to you and yours! 🙏🏻❤️ I just saw your whole post on your daughter! Praise the Lord! ❤️🙌🏻
Jess I'm sorry about all this. I'm glad that you have a good team working on it and my prayers for you that everything goes fine. I know God is with you and you are such a strong young lady and going to get thru this just fine. Sending prayers and a big hug for you , Sandi and your dad!! Hello from Michigan!🙏❤
When the Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis today, first thing I thought of was your journey. You were so brave and are now doing so well (even growing some really beautiful curly hair). Having followed you through it, we know what she is facing, and can only hope she will be brought back to health as you were.
I found your mom's channel during my cancer battle she help me stay positive and made me happy. Jess you got this. I pray for you and your family to feel peace and love from all your supporters.
As a 2-time cancer survivor (at ages 22 and 34) and doctor, I am rooting for you! You have an incredible team, including your loving family and your clinical “squad” to lean on. Also note that you explained things really well.
Jess, it took a lot of strength to share that personal information about what is going on with you with those of us (some which you don't know) on the internet like this. Thank you for doing that. I've been wondering what specifically I should be praying about and unfortunately I had a feeling it was this. I don't know you personally so I really cannot say for sure, but from what I have seen from both you and your mother; you are a true warrior and you'll be able to fight through this. I am glad your doctors listened to you and were able to get you in as soon as possible. Part of that was you advocating for yourself and that also takes strength too. You've got this Jessica.
I’m a breast cancer (twice )survivor- your family and medical team will get you through this- sending healing thoughts to you all. I did some work for a cancer campaign in the Uk and my byline was “don’t fear it- fight it” happy to pass that thought to you. God bless 💕
Sweet Jess, my heart breaks for you. I applaud your bravery. My prayers go out to you. You have 100s of 1000s, if not millions of people rooting for you
Oh Jess...no wonder your mother broke down and cried on her last video...just know that all of us have you surrounded in a group hug and prayers to you and your whole family...MUCH LOVE...from Perth Scotland💜🌹💙🌹💚🌹💛💐
Jessica, I need to give you a big digital hug and high five! Sharing as you've done is soooo helpful to people just diagnosed with any ovarian abnormality or cancer. You can't believe you are the ONLY person with this situation if people like you put their beautiful face on utube like you have. That alone is sooo comforting and reassuring. Bless you you are so kind!! Thankyou again.😊
My sister just beat stage two aggressive breast cancer. I understand the shock and the blow to your parents and your brother. But you are young and strong and just remember a healthy mindset can get you very far. I hope everything works out well for you and I will keep you in my prayers.
Oh Jess and Sandi I am sending my love and gentle hugs. As a female who has had severe endometriosis and have had Dr’s not take me seriously, I’m so happy to hear they took you seriously and listened to you! Your positive attitude and the love of your family (both genetically & behind the camera) will be cheering and paying for you daily! ❤
Hello Jenn, I had endometriosis also, so I know how you feel. I’m sorry you’re having trouble with your doctors not taking you seriously. It took an MRI for my doctors to take me seriously. I wish you all the best with that.
Prayers for you and family. My daughter (11 year old) is a cancer patient too. It’s a rough journey, but the tremendous amount of support & love is what keeps us all afloat. Embrace the love, the prayers, the support, (and the loads of gifts that are sent - Yeah, four years in and it’s still overwhelming our home, ha!). You have an entire community here from all over the world to support and uplift you. It is in times like these when we realize how much good there is in this world, how God remains faithful in tough times, and how overwhelming (in a good way) love can be. Love & Prayers from my family to yours. ❤🙏🏻❤️
Jess, I have followed your mom for years, and when you started your channel, I started following you for support and subs. I have been offline for 4 months now, and I recently got back on, and saw your mom's video about this. You are such a strong positive young woman, with her whole life in front of her. Congratulations are in order for your openness, coming out with this video couldn't have been easy. I will keep you in my prayers every day until I hear that you are cancer free! Kick cancers ass girl!!
Jess you’ve got this! My son at 20 found out he had testicular cancer, did fertility treatment, surgery the whole bit. This year we found out he’s going to be a parent with his wife. For sure you’ll have a few rough days but everyone is here to support you and your family. The Brock family will be in my prayers.
My brother had testicular cancer to spread to his lungs. He is now a father of three and has been in remission for over 15 years. Wishing you peace and strength during this journey.
God bless him! Almost the same story: brother, testicular cancer, 3 fantastic kids since then. And it was more than 20 years ago. I just had a phone call with him we're going to see mum for her birthday soon. Jessica you'll be fine, too
Hi, UA-cam recommended your video to me today; I don’t think that we have met before, but I am glad to make your acquaintance. I’m over 70 years old and had a dance with bile duct cancer almost 4 years ago - after surgery, I’m so far so good. I sincerely hope that it will all work out ok with you too. My surgeon told me that the most important thing is to keep a positive attitude and, after listening to your video, I think that you have that in spades. Lots of love to you; I’ll be thinking of you x
I was a young cancer survivor, Jess. It’s been 16 years since my diagnosis. You are doing all of the right things. Keep trusting your intuition about your body, and know that so many of us are praying for your physical and mental health right now. This is hard, but you have a plan, a team, and a great support system.
Jess, you got this!!! My daughter was 19 when she was diagnosed with Hodkin's Lymphoma cancer. She went through 6 months of chemo and as a parent, it was emotionally hard to watch her go through that. She was a fighter and I don't know how she did it. She is now 37 yrs old and Master Chef. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
My heart hurts for you and your family Jess. I hope you feel the healing blessings we are putting out there for you. Remember you are descended from warriors like your mom and dad!!! you got this!
Your courage is just as your parents display. I'm a retired RN, and the grasp of your condition is spot on. It demonstrates what an intelligent young girl you are, stay informed, and ask questions. Good luck Jess.
Holding a good thought for you Jess, l'm a huge fan of your mum's sheep barn, so l've sort of watched you grow up, and as the mother of a wondrously amazing girlchild Daisy, l know how your mother must be feeling as she watches over you and struggles with her emotional overload spilling into the barn. I for one do not expect any of you to be total stoics ... just thinking of you all has tears sliding down my cheeks. So as a believer in the idea that l can help by sending you a share of my strength and love, that's what l'm doing every morning when l wake up! Jane❤❤❤ from New Zealand
Just remember these words Jess, "It's not a step backwards, just another step in the process" They've kept me going through my own health journey, and I know someone as optimistic and practical as you will find encouragement in them too! Thank God we live in Canada, and that you've got such an incredible support team backing you!
Thank you for feeling like you could share with us, Jess. It sounded like you covered all the points that people might have questions about. Very concise. I would have gotten caught up in inconsequential details. I'm so glad that this was caught early, that you were alert to it, that everyone took you seriously, that you didn't have to wait too long. I know you have a wonderful support system but know, too, that you have a lot of people who only know you through YT (yours, your mom's) who are behind you and your family; loving and praying for all of you.
Stay strong !! I'm a 70 yr old female and was diagnosed with stage 2 HER2 positive breast cancer in March 2022, aggressive cancer. Gone thru lumpectomy, lymph nodes surgery, 33 rounds of radiation. Now infusion targeted therapy weekly for 52 weeks. Have about 24 treatments left. Have a great cancer treatment team !!! Just stay strong and pray !!!
Stage 4 cancer survivor here. Prayers on this journey. Stay strong, positive, eat very clean during your treatment. Know that the Lord has a plan, it is ok to cry. You can do this!!!
Cancer doesn't exist, only in the civilization. Only paleolitic diet and lot of sun can help you, medical system is a joke. Eat fat instead of carbohydrates. That's it, good luck.
Just wanted to pour prayers and love over you! Lifting you up in prayer and that the Lord continues to carry you through this. 🙏🏻 You got this Queen! 💪🏼
This certainly explains the anguish that has been showing so obviously on your mom. We could tell it was something bad. I'm so very sorry to hear what you are going through. You will be in my thoughts and prayers as you take on this journey. Love the new haircut BTW, it suits you so well.
Listen, I never usually comment on anything ever, I haven't for years, but I felt compelled to say something now. This video just popped up in my feed, literally 5 days after I handed in a bigass essay on gonadal germ cell tumors for uni. Big part of it was ovarian teratomas and how they may turn malignant. Hearing your story made me realize how important our reseach is and how we actually get to help people like you beat their cancer. You just gave me a different level of drive there to continue in this field! Thank you soso much for your informative video and I wish you the very best recovery possible! Lots of love from Germany ❤
Hi there, you should comment more often. Not every comment section is full of crazy people, trolls & monsters. In fact, maybe _you_ could consider starting a YT channel of your very own? You know, share YOUR journey of education, in this field of study? Hey, you _might_ get bored, one day... right?? Hey if not now than maybe whenever your research needs more funding. Keep us posted, we'll watch your stuff. Take care, _YOU_ ROCK DOC! Hugs from Canada 💕

I am so sorry this is happening. Your ability to clearly summarise what is surely a complicated medical process is impressive. Sending the healing vibes your way. (btw, love the haircut!)
I'm studying oncology in med school right now and I also volunteer in oncology at the hospital. I can hear how scared you are and I sort of understand how stressfull all of this is, but I'm so glad to hear you have a full team of specialists taking care of you on all different aspects. Just know that all the tests they do are 100% useful to choose the optimal treatment. I wish you the best of luck. Do keep us updated.❤
I started watching your mom while I was going through my cancer treatment. I am now cancer free, but I had Chemo and radiation in my treatment plan. Be positive and remember that many of your and your mom's subscribers (followers) will be praying and pulling for you to beat cancer. Please share your journey with us.
Thank you so much for including us in your journey. It sounds that you are being cared for really well by your medical team. We all know you are supported in such a loving way from your family. Your mom won't let anything happen to you! 🙏❤️
Dear Darling Jess, I am so sorry to learn that you are going through this. You are such a strong, smart, kind and loving young women and I know you'll get though this - you and your family have lots of love, prayers, and support from your youtube family.

I had a feeling this was the case. As a mother myself I could see that particular distress on your moms face. But you caught it early, and you're young and healthy. I'll be waiting for your "cancer free" video!
I kinda guessed… my son is in the same boat. He has had his removal and now has to have further surgery. A cancer diagnosis is scary but isn’t a death sentence, that’s what I’m trying to learn. Sending you and your family lots of love ❤ stay strong xxx
I am sitting in the hospital watching this video. Currently recovering from my last round of chemotherapy. It’s a hard thing to go through but it’s good to hear they don’t see any spread at this time.
Why are you congratulating her? Cancer is not a gift no matter what stage it is. Please think about this before you say anything else.
@@Gary_Fairbrother They’re saying congratulations as stage 1 is the best stage of cancer as you have like (spit balling) 70%+ of survival in most cases. It’s a small victory in a war of attrition.

I also lost the most of my left ovary due to endo with stage 3. I was hoping it would be for Jess 'just' endo and not cancer 😢
