Man, being a single father of 3 kids with 1 who's special needs on top of this economy has made it absolutely impossible to afford a watch. Even a cheaper one. But thanks to John at least I have a place to come and enjoy seeing some of the new stuff! Thanks John. Love your content.
Don't feel discouraged at all. If you only own one watch, you are still a collector. The fact that you are interested in watch related content makes you an enthusiast. Welcome to the club my friend 😊
I really love Baltany. They really fit my style. I actually have the original Hamilton, and it's a model that very few know about. I may get this white dial Baltany to go with it because they don't offer that color in the Hamilton. Great review, John! I hope you and the family are doing well.
Thank you for an excellent review of the new BALTANY Pilot and Retro Diver Watches. Your high-quality video and close-up shots neatly showcased these timepieces' intricate details and design. Keep up the great work!
Absolutely love the s2076 and will be picking one up. Fingers crossed they have deals coming for the 11/11 sale. As lovely as it is, I can’t help but to think how much more amazing it would’ve been with a brown bezel. Thanks for a look around this watch.
Another couple of great watches from Baltany. I liked your comment about James' wrist 😁, you're right he seems to get away with almost any size, I have a 7¨ wrist but it's more circular and 49mm is my absolute maximum lug to lug without substantial turn down. The wife skit was a bit close to home, I'm currently building up courage to tell mine that I've bought another watch 🤣
I like that San Martin you have on your wrist. I have that same watch in my AliExpress cart waiting for November to see if it goes on sale. Great looking watch
I know I will be getting the pilot watch with the black dial and bezel. A dark green leather bund strap is a great idea. I only wish it had drilled lugs and a signed crown.
LOL... My wife always manages to catch me when im buying watches I shouldn't. Always a step ahead. It is a super power i think 🤔 😅 As for Batany, they sure are making some very nice pieces. Thank you John for your great review and photography. Cheers buddy 👍
That eternal struggle for the perfect wrist. My biggest grief is that there are so many cool watches from the 70ies that use 18mm straps, which makes them look and feel like I'm wearing something at least one size too small. 🥲
Liking the 2076. Still can’t get my head around cathedral hands completely but maybe I’m getting close. If I was confident in modding I’d love to get one and change the hands. The usual Baltany quality, the right movement, looks like the sapphire is bang on as usual as well. You still can’t get me liking a BB homage. Flakey flake hands. Not my rub at all. Wrist envy 😂😂
Baltany are killing it with their black and cream dials. Just picked up the S2032 as I really wanted that military dirty dozen look and my only complaint with it is the lug tips are a bit sharp. Really like the look of the GMT but I'm desperately trying to keep it down to one watch per Chinese brand. Only the flat case back might stop me from buying it, phew!
They are producing great pieces. Like you, only the lug to lug length stopped me keeping this....I wonder if I can put it in another case though ..hmmmm🤔
Both are terrific. And both are strap monsters. I really like that Khaki Homage in the white dial. And TWO appearances by the fabulous Miss Molly no less. And yeah! Screw James! Ha! I’m kidding James. Thanks for the great review as always.
More expensive than I wish to pay on Ali, but black version GMT looks very nice. Not sure about white. I think they need thicker black frames around hands and markers for better contrast.
@@johnswatchjoint Maybe I'm just too careful with white dials. I had Steeldive polar Explorer GMT. Hands were OK, but hour markers needed thicker black frames. Didn't look right to me, too much white and not enough contrast. Switched it after a few weeks to Steeldive Pepsi.
@@johnswatchjoint They say men don't know colors, so if not black, blue or green then it must be white and all that cream, beige, champagne are just made up names so girls can pretend it is not the same shoes as before they are buying 😀. But I admit it does look better than plain white explorer.
The GMT isn't a dive watch because it lacks a timing bezel. One could call it a skin diver because it has plenty of water resistance (allegedly) and you don't need a timing bezel for snorkelling. As such I see nothing "incorrect" about wearing it on a leather strap.
The BB Pro which this watch homages is classified as a diver as it has 200m water resistance and you can swim with it. It doesn't say Diver's as it is not ISO certified. A dive watch in vernacular terms for enthusiasts these days is something you can happily snorkel with or use in the pool. Let's not get into semantics please 😊
I always wanted to ask: Why ghost date bother so many ppl? For me its no difference if I have ghost date or not. BTW pilot watch looks very nice but hands are not in my test.
For me it’s that Baltany bother to use the right movement rather than cheaping out (so to speak - turn of phrase!) with the standard issue NH35. That’s a little sign of quality.
If you watched the video you will have seen that I made reference to the fact that the GMT was a BB Pro homage and that the pilot watch is a Khaki Aviation...perhaps people who wish to criticize reviewers should actually pay attention to the video in question? That's normally how a balanced and reasonable conversation happens
We live in a unbalanced non common sensical world Atm. Unfortunately. Most comments are semmantics and from people that sometimes have not watched the video in it's entirety or not at all period but are quick to judge and speak a smorgasbord of JibJab 🎉
The finishing and attention to detail on the BB pro homage is top class and also does a great job at creating that vintage nostalgia! From specs to size and everything in between they nailed it on this particular model!
Buddy, there will be more VH31 and vk movement watches shortly. I don't appreciate spending two days making a video to get crappy comments like this. It's hard work and it's just a hobby. Please be respectful in this community 😕
I do love their watches. That one would look great on my wrist 😂😂😂😂
Yeah...rub it in why dontcha! 😂

Thank you everyone for your kindness! And blessings to you all!
Nice. Baltany is a good name too. Nothing to complain about
I really love Baltany. They really fit my style. I actually have the original Hamilton, and it's a model that very few know about. I may get this white dial Baltany to go with it because they don't offer that color in the Hamilton. Great review, John! I hope you and the family are doing well.
Cheers Dan. This Khaki pilot is replacing my Baltany W10...another Hamilton Homage. I hope you and yours are well my friend 🙏

Great looking watches.
Glad you like them...they are VERY well made 😉

No problem. Thanks for watching and remember to subscribe if you haven't already 🤗
I'm eyeing a baltany next.
I just love their style 😊
You won't be disappointed
Great taste in watches ! You live your white dialsvas I can see, solid both choices. I really like them both.
🤗
both watches look great, I've been itching to get the pilot watch, might get one now.
Good choice!
Just ordered the aviator. Thanks for saving me £15.
Well done Bob. It's a lovely watch and I am keeping mine...replacing my Baltany W10!
The GMT would be my pick looks stunning.
I am gutted it doesn't fit me. What a stunning dial...but the Pilot is replacing my Baltany W10 so I'll live with it 😉

Yikes...good luck with that one. Do you have medical insurance? 🤕😂😹

It is nice. I bought it from Zee, The Watcher for my collection 🤗
Great review. I love both of these. Baltany is making some amazing watches, but they need to come out with a nicer clasp.
It'll happen 😉

Aye...they always know somehow! 🤕

You need to look closely... especially at the end. It's not even close to being a white dial 😉

If that pilot watch had a 12 hour bezel I'd be excited to hand over my $.
Great video John. I’m going to say it. Baltany is better than San Martin!
They do have some fantastic models in their catalogue 🤗
I’m naming my band “The Leather Sniffers.”

A tad too chunky for me
Reviews to homage watches should at least give credit to the originals..
Kudos to Hamilton and Tudor.
