Also no eyeliner on the lower lash line lol. And avoid liner on the middle lid of your eye to keep it looking open.
We're in the same boat. I pretty much have just abandoned winged liner completely in favor of winged out shadow, instead. I just do a basic line of black liner and put black shadow over it to smoke it out, and then when I get to the outer part I just blend the black up into whatever eyeshadow I've got going for the day. It works really well. I still get a wing effect without having to actually try and draw a wing on a hooded lid.

I have very hollowed and hooded eyes, so even though Im in my teens I just constantly look droopy and tired, lashes really help pull my eyes up!
Exactly! False lashes can change your whole look too! If you have hooded eyes ( like me ), it’s a life saver. No eyeliner, just lashes. The downsides : 1) They’re sometimes hard to wear when the weather is hot / humid ( even the best glue might not last if you sweat ). Do the strip lashes take out your eyelashes when you take them off? I wanna try doing it but I'm scared. I've only used them 3 times and I used eyeliner so I put it right above my lash line not actually on it

I'm almost 40 years old and this is the first time I have seen ANYONE show my the difference in application for winged liner. They all say, follow the natural angle on your eyes, or eye lid, and I've already got massively big eye balls-it makes my eye look even bigger. "Line your waterline to make your eyes smaller" and then it looks like I'm trying to do smokey eye! Which I don't want, I want the more angled, fox like, look because my eyes are big enough....blather, blather-Thank you. This helps this old lady so much. I finally realized now that it doesn't work because my face and eye shape is just not like that. Thanks for these videos i always learn something💗
This is really gooooood video for those of us with uneven eyelids and/or hooded lids. I love everything you do. You are absolutely stunning with or without makeup.
I love that you don’t do long intros. It’s adds so much and your personality pulls the viewer in right away anyway.
First time here🙋🏼♀️
Random thoughts: Her voice sound exactly like Sandra Bullock's!!
Jesus christ what a gem, absolutely gorgeous ♡♡
You should be watching my videos instead...
Our eye shape is SO similar- so this is immensely helpful
I don’t even do makeup, but the fact that it really DOES change your face is trippy
This video randomly popped up on my feed. She has such a soothing voice, love this simple and informative video.
First video I’ve ever watched and I’ve literally just learned how to do eyeliner in 3 ish mins and she doesn’t do it like a five-year-old does like most other UA-camrs she actually does it as if that is another style you could do really love how you show and explain it. And no long stupid intros. AND NO CLICKBAIT♥️
My eyeliner always looked shitty, but after watching this my eyes looked so sassy I loved it thank you very much !
Talking while doing eyeliner officially makes you a boss
The round eye is how I used to do my eyeliner, and the sharp one is how I do it now. legit, 1:1.
I like that you show two ways to do this even if they're simpler styles. It's to the point.
I really like your tutorial. I also like your voice. It’s not a squeaky, girlish , high pitched voice. Your voice is reassuring and definitely not annoying. You got a new subscriber.
How does she get her skin to look so good omg 😱
This was dope and I love how supportive you are of other artists. Hell yeah
I'm off to binge the rest of your Dude videos because I don't know how to contour either.
Thank you for this! It helped so much! I've tried to figure out what to do with my hooded eyes forever and now I know why they always end up looking so round and crazy! Also, I really love how you plug other youtubers in your own videos to give us more variety and to help out your community. I think that's incredibly cool and kind of you! 💖
I always thought winged liner looked stupid on me, but I just tried doing it like you did your right eye and was shocked at how well it turned out. So thank you for that
Loool I swear most days I actually look like this (one thin lined eye, one chunky black hooded eye)
Me and my hooded eyes: 🥺🥺🥺
Check out Katie Jane Hughes on IG.
@@maggierobertson2962 omg, just checked her out and I already love her! Found a link for a good eyeliner tutorial of hers

@@Nails_By_Kimberlee she and Alex are two of the best out there.
@@maggierobertson2962 I immediately related to the woman on IG because we're both redheads lol. It's like seeing a long lost sister or something haha.
Watch Alissa Ashley’s most recent hooded lids liner tutorial, it really helped me ❤️
Cute, I can’t pull off any eyeliner without looking like a panda but here for the vibes💪🏾✨
this is why I used to never wear eyeliner too but then I figured out that you don’t really need to bring the liner all the way across your eye (from your outer corner to your inner corner). I just bring the eyeliner towards the center of my eye and make sure not to make it too thick.
Emily Michetti, ye I like starting from the middle/end of my eye for eyeliner
A MAKEUP VIDEO ACTUALLY NOT CLICK BAIT WITH NO ADVERTISEMENTS... THIS WOMAN IS A LEGEND
Please never end this series.
It is life changing
I’m never watching another 40 minute makeup tutorial ever again. These videos are my favorite thing.
I just love that this series is called the “dude” series
glad to see we all agree on "the dude series thaught me more in 2 days that influencers have in 4 years"
To the point, funny, raw and honest. I’m late to the party but I love you and I’m ready to binge all your videos 😊
This is what beauty UA-cam should be about!! Simple, to the point tutorials/videos. This kind of reminds me of the early Michelle Phan era of beauty UA-cam. Thank you!!
I feel like feature wise she could Johnny Depps daughter. There’s something similar in the eyes. This is not at all an insult btw, Johnny Depp is a pretty boy.
I can't unsee this now lol
I definitely see it. They both have great cheekbones
Everytime I'm trying to do my Liner, my lashes get in the way. Just can't do it.
Anybody with the same issue?
what i do is tilt my head up like I'm looking at the ceiling, then I look straight into the mirror and it really helps me angle my eyeliner better when my lashes are in the way. Also if you curl your lashes, always do that last. Curled lashes get in the way even more
Yo it took me a while to figure out that i need to stop closing my eye to do eyeliner. But a sis got it and that what matters
Hey as long as you get there 😂❤️
I never watch beauty vids, I don't even use makeup but this interesting and you seem like one of the only "learning" and non toxic beauty channel
so glad there's no music in the background. really helps you focus
I'm 37 years old and still can't do winged liner. Lol
Same!!!!
I'm 62 and still can't do it. LOL
44 and can't do it to save my life lol
There always time to learn:)
@@juno-9098 I try a few times a week and will get luck once or twice but I can't get it even..lol I'm a perfectionist with it that's my main problem
me searching “eyeliner for different eye shapes” like 3 days ago then this popping up in my feed today: 👁👄👁
I like the thicker option, but I have bit hooded eyes
You are so frickin´precise....unbelivable...
Thanks for this video. It is incredibly helpful because for Asian eyes I'm just lost as to what to do with them to make them stand out. Now I see the huge difference you can make just by a slightly different technique.
