Looks delicious and simple to make! Thank you Jane!!!! Hello to Mike and the adorable pups!
It was a beautiful food presentation! The pastry looked wonderful!! Love your channel especially since you live in France. My husband likes it too. You have a fantastic video presence and you explain instructions in great way. Thank you.
Thanks for watching
The plait does look lovely. I want to try it. Thank you for the video!
Super yummy! I've made a sweet version of this with a yeast dough and cream cheese spread on the bottom and raspberry jam spread on the top and then braided . Everyone thinks it's amazing. I will give this version a try 👍
Favourite here, too. Your recipe and instructions are so straightforward, thank you.
Thanks for the feedback
Absolutely delicious. If the number of the dough pieces on either side is equal the plait is easily to form. Thank you so much for this recipe
make stovies...a scottish dish, extremely cheap and filling...sausage or corned beef or left over roast meat...potatoes and onions....give it a go...
The plait looks so fancy. I will make a vegan version for lunch today. Lentils, mushrooms, oats, onion and herbs for the filling.
Thanks for this tutorial - looks yummy. Pauline. UK.
I make a sausage and rice plait with added spring onion. Delicious and stretches the sausage meat even further. Jane I would love to see you do a video about stretching a piece of meat such as a gammon joint or whole chicken for 3 or 4 meals for 2 people x
Sounds delicious
I made your sausage plait tonight Jane and it was really delicious. I was doubtful due to the few ingredients but I was really surprised. One that I will definitely make again. Thank you
You’re welcome and thanks for your feedback.
That looks very yummy. Need to do it at a next gathering . Cheap and cheerful and everyone will enjoy it.
Wow. That looks delicious. I knew what a plait is and I’m American😜
Love a sausage roll, a sausage plait, sausage pasta hmmm there's a theme going on here 😋
Looks delicious! I have added onions, bell peppers and mushrooms to stretch the filling a bit more for our family of 6.
Please do. I served it with veggies or salad
How good is this little recipe!! It's in the oven for tonight's dinner and it was sooo easy to make. Absolutely love it. Thank you Jane for sharing.
You’re welcome
That looked really yummy and a lot easier than I thought it would be, thanks for sharing Jane 👍 😊
Looks delicious, I’ve made sausage rolls but not for years
Enjoy
That looks so yummy 😋
I make this but bulk out the sausage meat with dried stuff reconstituted and mixed in or add grated apple to the sausage meat. Thank you for sharing……. Love Wendy ♥️💋

Something new and yummy for me to try! I love to watch you bake.
It looks delicious, and your plaiting tutorial was easy to follow. I am going to give it a try.
That looked delish. Must try it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovely, this is a big favourite of my family too. Sometimes I make it with puff pastry if I find it discounted to 50c a pack.
You show this very well.anyone learning how to cook will find this informative.I love that you do it our traditional way.I do this plait with tinned fish we love it.xxxx🐝
Thank you
I must try! Absolutely looks delicious 🤤
Looks delicious! Thank you for your videos.😊
Thanks for the easy tips.
Looks fantastic! (In the US, we call it a braid, not a plait - most Americans aren't familiar with the term "plait" - not saying you should change your title but maybe in the keywords in you description box, add the word braid - it will help when people do searches for that type of recipe)
Thanks for the feedback
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I can't wait to try it.
I am so happy to see this recipe..I'm definitely going to give it a go.
With the meal recipes you've shared with us the possibilities are endless.
Thank You Kindly.
See you soon.
Thanks for the feedback
Looks lovely Jane. I don’t have pastry often but I fancy making this. Yum!
It looks delicious. Mine are just boring sausage rolls with bought puff pastry
That looks DELICIOUS
Thanks very much
Gorgeous!
I might make this over the Jubilee weekend as it would make a nice centrepiece for a buffet tea. Maybe you could show some ideas for other tasty buffet food which won’t break the bank eg devilled eggs, salmon mousse (tinned salmon) smoked mackerel pate etc
Have fun
Is Jubilee weekend a yearly event or is there a special jubilee this year - for 60th anniversary of coronation? I want to celebrate Jubilee Weekend too!!!
@@freakinfrugal5268 it’s not annual, just the big numbers
@@freakinfrugal5268 No the the Jubilee is a special occasional event to celebrate the reign of Queen Elizabeth. There was the silver jubilee for 25 years, the golden jubilee for 50 years, the diamond jubilee for 60 years and this year it’s the platinum jubilee for 70 years. There are 4 days of celebrations - a long weekend which includes 2 bank (public) holidays. There are lots of official events around the country but esp in London and unofficial things like street parties everywhere. We’re having a village party at the village hall in our community and we’re lighting a beacon in the evening on the hill above the village. There’s a network of beacons being lit around the country. Hopefully we’ll be able to see other beacons lit by other communities.
Delicious…I will have a go….and loved the random guinea pig picture too😀😀😀
Looks great and so tasty. Love your Cornish ware salt pot. Do you have a collection ?
Your sausage plait looked super yummy Jane! It makes me so mad when I see the chefs on tv throw away the pastry trimmings! I always used mine for a few jam tarts when the children were small but now I usually freeze it like you do for use later!
Looks delicious 😋
This is great Jane I can hardly wait to try making it. I have wholemeal flour and butter...do you think I could use some olive or sunflower oil instead of the lard?...or maybe that would just make a mess? I have sausages that I'm going to 'skin' as I haven't been able to get sausage meat. I wish you'd make a vegetable or chicken curry from scratch so I could use things I regularly have and not the jars or bottles of sauce you see in the shops that have God knows what in them. The simpler and more wholesome the better. Thank you. Vera from Northern Ireland
Hi, you need a hard solid fat to make pastry and you must chill the pastry before cooking
Encouraging!
Very beautiful. I'm sure it was delicious. I haven't learned how to use substitutes since I can't have the carbs but one day I hope to.
Big thumbs up! Chicken pot pie.
Can’t wait to try this! …Deb Gnagey
Thanks very much
What a nice presentation Jane. How many servings does this make?
Four, thanks for watching
🍴👍🌹
How much flour is that for that size.
looks like two cups of flour then one cup of unsalted butter (but Jane used half butter, only one stick, and half lard) then 1tsp salt and 1/2 cup cold water
Looks delicious😋
Looks yummy!
