    I sold them for three years (2005-2008) and had two of them back then. I had been away for a few years but now I am back at home with a 2018 ES350 that I just found with 18k miles and well equipped. Traded a Mercedes E350, 2013. Glad to be back.

    My parents got this car in the winter of 2018. (It was actually the showroom car). It’s in the same metallic white color, and the interior has light brown(basically tan) seats and the dashboard is dark brown. I LOVE it.

    Why does the Lexus IS have a bigger infotament system when this Lexus ES has a small screen..?

    Far prefer the GS (I own one) but still nice. My grandma has a 2012 ES that she bought new in 2012 & has held up perfectly so far as expected.

    Why do you never focus on fuel economy, what grade gas it uses, etc etc? You should tell the viewers other x city mpg, y highway mpg, it takes 87 or 93, annual fuel cost etc etc.

    I have the '17 version. No way does it get 20 mpg on the highway! 24 mpg is the norm and I'm not hard on this car at all!

      Correction, I meant to write 30 mpg.

    • @godfatherNYC
      @godfatherNYC 7 років тому +1

      You're definitely right. I had an ES350 as a loaner for a couple of days. I have a 17 ES300h and I'm LOVING the legit 40 mpg, (ok, ok, my _absolute overall mpg_ is 37 mpg but that includes a LOT of idling waiting in the school car line.) I know you're loving your ES just as much as me, but that extra mileage is just so nice. Best wishes.

    • @shengkaihe4300
      @shengkaihe4300 7 років тому

      weird. I have the '16 version and I can easily get 27~29 mpg on highway, depending on whether the road is ascending or descending. It's bad in the city tho because of the 3.5l engine and the car weight, averaged 15~19 mpg. The mixed average is 21.5 mpg for me.

    • @KeithWeast
      @KeithWeast 6 років тому +1

      Steve W you may not be hard on the car but the subtleties of driving affect it greatly. In my 07 Avalon, I have gotten 33mpg on a 260 mile trip and 28mpg just driving to work. Not at highway speeds. But during the winter, expect 20mpg. This winter was especially rough. This is also at 160k miles with these ratings.

      Actually, the Avalon Limited is $41,300 msrp and a ES starts at $38K. So it really depends on what options you want.

    • @pikachuteresa
      @pikachuteresa 6 років тому +2

      I have a 2018 Avalon limited, was thinking of getting this Lexus instead until I got insurance quotes from my insurance company. The Avalon limited would have cost me about $776.00 for 6 month policy on a new car. Contrast to the Lexus quote of $1,800 for a six month policy! Furthermore, Lexus only takes premium gas and the Avalon with regular, with gas approaching $4.00 a gallon in southern California, it can get expensive. Add also the options you will have to pay extra on the Lexus which are already included in the limited Avalon. So the bottom line, I purchased the Avalon over the Lexus, I am very satisfied including my wallet.

    • @JohnBowl14690
      @JohnBowl14690 6 років тому +1

      @Derick - Yes, the insurance is definitely more for a Lexus than it was when I had my Camry. For me at was about 25% higher. But Avalon is likely higher than my Camry. Contrary to what Toyota recommends, I ONLY use regular in my Lexus. There is no pinging and no difference that I can see if I use premium. The Lexus forums talks about this and many of us use regular only.

    Hi guys, I know this is not the right place to ask people which car is better, but I'm planning to buy the either BMW 330i, C300, and ES 350. All the cars has the pros and cons. So, It is so hard to decide which car I need to go for. I tested drive all the cars, but ES 350 was the most comfortable and also provides really good features that BMW and C300 don't have. But..... ES 350 SO UGLY LOL... I don't know what to choose

      That wishful thinking just became a reality if you take a look at the upcoming 2019 Lexus ES 350 F Sport Edition next gen model to be released later this year. It's rumored to get AWD, and 8-speed. Only downside is your stuck with a V-6 pumping out 300 horses. Wish there was more powerful engine options.
