I don't blame the guards/horses for being frustrated , the tourists are being completely disrespectful there is no need for it their behaviour is appalling. I feel for the horses they have feelings of their own too and don't want to be touched all the time. What this crowd forgets is they are highly trained soldiers and are not to be messed with when they tell you to do something like get back and don't touch the reins you do it. Never mock , laugh , point , poke fun most of all don't disrespect them. All guards deserve all the respect there is. These people wouldn't like it if this behaviour was done in their country , DON'T do it here to the country you're visiting.

Problem is though 2 of some real nasty ones, usually on the short movies are in fact totally British. In with one she was going up looking at the horse almost right into the bloody box and when told to move, guard went around the hosebguard moving jer away, then he said moved she did so he just shoulder bumped her out the way. She took great offence, shout she had a broken are. One which was not in a sling and unless it was a hairline fracture it was quite a health looking break with no cast or sling... what made me laugh was she turned round and said to the bunch of Tourist waiting patiently to go see the horse. She said
"And your alright with that!" Everybody foreign and home made shouted yes! Then she sure got hold of a police officer and starting to go onto him about her feckin broken arm pointing at it. Seriously she was laughed at!
One problem is that tour guides are telling the they can stroke the horse but don't touch the reigns, so you can see the result too many people trying crowd in because they want to make sure ready to go on with the tour guide.
They really should changing the rules so tour guides can tell them not to touch the horses.
Bit I despair the shamefull brits, they go abroad and not care either...
See if you find that south east (personally she sounds a Londoner) english woman it's just so bloody funny!

Mind you, there have been reports of other cities such as Amsterdam where you can barely move for tourists. Great to have them spending money here but it becomes really unpleasant if you have to live and work in a tourist hotspot with all the jostling and pushing and talking at full volume. With so many outside and quite a lot not listening or just plain ignoring the orders I am not surprised of the behaviour, the Police Officer had just told them of very clearly and sternly to move back and yet some decided to move forward yet again, so well done Guard. The very least you can do is to try and research places you wish to visit, ask if your not sure about rules etc, but most of all when an armed Police Officer says move you move when he says stay back you stay back, after all you are a VISITOR that is their place they set the rules.

What annoys me is how the tourists are still allowed to crowd around the horses, with no care if the the horses are uncomfortable with all the petting.,The rights of the guards and their horses seems to be gradually taken away in favour of the tourist…Can’t they just look and not touch? I saw one lady put her tiny child under the horses front legs walk back and take a photo..🤬

There are definitely far too many tourists. No wonder the Guard shouted and charged his Horse 🐎 at them. Just a pity he couldn't knock them down. Might have done them good!.

The number of tourists has increased 3 or 4 times in the last 10 or 12 yrs but the Royal guards haven’t adapted to that. They need to make changes. I don’t think the problem so much is people touching the horses but when a dozen or more crowd around it.

The crowds remind me of swarming ants.
They shouldn't get so close to the guards and their beautiful horses. It's unnerving to watch and I can only imagine how the guards and horses must feel.

  • @kattydover6356
    @kattydover6356 Рік тому +1

İ would hardly call it charging the crowd, who are you the bleeding Daily Mail!! The crowds should not be allowed anywhere near that close.

  • @avrilbissell930

This shows majority of crowd of people at their worse. Lack of respect to the guards their horse's , the soldiers and the armed police.
What gives them the right to do their own thing!!
This needs to be dealt with immediately, i cannot understand why this hasn't been done before now?
Surely there is a better way than asking the crowd to go behind the bollards. As obviously this doesn't work.
Can an area around the soldiers and their horse's have visible barrier, like a retractable fence be put up ( like the ones they have to restrict access in most shops, lining crowd's at the airport etc. ) I also think that something similar needs to be used around the kings guards/horses so photos can still be taken, but people cannot get too close.
I know this may seem harsh to some people, but how do we know what that person's agenda is.
I'm thinking about the 'Karen' that was constantly in almost everyone's posts a while back. She was so annoying and no matter what either the armed police or the soldiers said to her, she still did her own thing.
Thankfully I've not seen her for a while, so hopefully she finally got the message.
If there had been a restricted area around the guardsmen, so you are close enough to take a picture, but not to touch the horses or guardsmen. Hopefully this could help, as all the police need to do pull up the strap from the stand and it will retract into base stand. The guardsmen will be safe to get into the courtyard.
Well thats enough on my soap box ha ha.
    Hugs and stuff xx
