It's so sad that we are living in 2024 and big companies like Oral B still wont release a model that uses usb c. it is definitely better for the user and environment rather than depending on their proprietary charger
Any chances you will be reviewing the Oclean X lite and the new Oclean air pump water flosser? I was looking to buy them however waiting for your review.
The Oclean Air Pump, I will likely test. With Sonicare having launched 5 new models recently, I have to admit it's going to be some time before I get round to being able to do this. The X Lite, I wouldn't like to promise at this stage.
@@ElectricTeeth thanks for the reply, is there any chance you could have a look at it on the Oclean website and give some feedback on it replying to this?
From a spec/price point of view it seems a pretty solid option. Personal preference on whether you like connecting a cable directly to the base of the brush or not. That might not be to everyones liking. Based on other Oclean models it will do a decent job of cleaning the teeth.
@ - Yes, I tried many different outlets. It’s a very common problem according to the Google hits I got when I did an internet search. I watched videos put out by Oral B, but nothing worked. Both units being returned. Too bad, because otherwise I liked the toothbrushes. My Sonicare brushes charge flawlessly and last for weeks between charges.
@@jamesmcguire5450 - I returned both of mine, I found an off brand on Amazon for about $17 that recharges via usb-c, and includes 8 extra brush heads (and the off-brand Oral B heads are compatible). It’s called “Teetheory Rotating Electric Toothbrush”. It feels pretty similar. I just ordered another one.
With my io10 I should connect charger to Internet in order to see any number intricate on a charging stand. And have app installed, and bluetooth on, and being in 5meters to charger) That's hilarious, that toothbrush sells my personal health data info straight away to 3d parties somewhere, it's a progress, baby!
Well, you won't have to connect to the app to check if you charge the brush handle while you're not using it. Once a batty is fully charged it stops charging. This allows you to use the brush without worrying about it running out of battery.
This point is kind of moot for those of us who store our toothbrush on the stand at all times. Granted, doing so takes up counter space, but it is a way to let others know we have watched Electric Teeth videos and are now very committed to oral hygiene. Also, there is the idea of teaching by example. If someone like me (who doesn't brush at all) sees the brush standing there, they may wonder why they are not using one and begin. Doesn't this give a whole new meaning to "word of mouth?"

I agree, such a big miss. I don't travel often, but when I do, I'd like to just have a single USB C cable for all my accessories.
Apple literally JUST moved to USB C for some devices and you are complaining about a toothbrush? 🤔
The USB-C port is far less water resistant than inductive charging
Hi Jon just needed to say thanks 🙏 for all your advice and reassurance 😊

Where can I buy replacement chargers, please? Thanks!
For what brand of toothbrush and model? Amazon/Ebay are generally good places. Or do a web search for suppliers/stockists.
@ElectricTeeth I wish to buy a charger for my Oral-B Pro Series 3 toothbrush. I'll have a look on the places you shared, thank you!
If you head to service.oralb.com you can find approved suppliers for the specific parts for your model.
@ElectricTeeth That really helped! Thank you team!
I have two brand new Oral B pro 1000, and both will not charge. What the heck?
Are you sure? Des the charge light come on? It can take 30 minutes or so for them to do so if the battery is flat. Try other power outlets to be sure.

I am having the exact same issue. Both are brand new from the same package. Worked perfectly but will not take a charge. Weird
@ElectricTeeth my charge light will not come on... brush handles won't charge and they are brand new

sure the instrx were great but wouldn't it be better to design the tooth brush to eliminate the need to watch an instructional video???
You can follow instructions from the booklet that comes with the brush.
Wish I knew this when I Brought It
It's not great had to find a Plus socket
Cant tell if it charging
This is poor
