But who even asked for a thinner phone at the expense of internal hardware? Phones nowadays are really thin anyway, and it's solving a problem that, again, does not exist.
The thing is, people are complaining it feels the same, apple wants to do something that will attract their customers, and apple consumers love when they go thinner, they eat it up like thanksgiving dinner. it will be trending just because its thinner and people will be like "ooooooo" and "ahhhhh"...... and i will be one of those people
Actually, outside of the online tech enthusiasts bubble, people do like thinner phones, because it's more comfortable when you hold it and when you put it in your pocket, thinner also means lighter. Average people care about lightness and thinness more than 120hz screens.
Speak for yourself! I want a thin phone. If you don’t care about carrying a giant brick around, then prove it and go buy yourself a battery case. I never understand these people that cry about more battery when they can literally solve their own problem.
@@apaflogodson9137u r not everybody… and u might live under a rock but there is a growing market for foldable phones. Like samsung fold 6 SE that during pre-order was sold out under 10min !!!
@ u r not everybody… and in case u live under a rock… there’s a real growing market for foldable phone. For example samsung fold 6 SE was sold out in pre-order under 10 minutes!
better cam, better processor, slimmer and better battery. This is what they advertise every year since iPhone 4. Imagine the vast improvement you'll get if you wait 3 years or more.
Yes, please give me the thin foam. Finally a phone I can carry in my pocket. When you create an impossible thin device, it feels incredible because it feels like you’re holding a piece of future tech and that’s what Apple does pretty well. Just look at how much everybody is loving the new iPad pros.. I never understand these people that complain about battery life, and don’t care about carrying a giant brick when they can literally solve their own problems and go buy a battery case.
To be completely honest, you don’t really notice the 120hz unless you have the phones side by side or maybe when you first switch. After that, non issue. I’m a pro user no matter what though. I want the best of the best!
You notice how company believes that price is not the matter for anything except when it comes to stop PlayStation 5 pro. Hypocrisy crazy among this online outlets. It's crazy
I think most cameras are good enough for most people’s needs. What we need is a foldable iPhone to take us to the next level. Opens to an iPads from and iPhone.
My pet fly is always moaning that he needs at least 240Hz on his iPhone to see it flicker free. On the other hand, my next door neighbour, who's a tortoise, says that even 30fps is way too fast and stresses him out. There are some humans that can't live without 120Hz/fps, but then they are almost always complete morons. Personally, I'm happy with 60Hz on a digital device, or even better, not knowing. And I've never met anyone who walked out of a cinema complaining that it was only 24fps.
Yawn.. yah, thinner my case will live that. Camera ok. How about battery, that’s what we care about and more memory standard. I just paid my Apple bill for $3800 for my wife’s and my new iPhones. We are willing to pay the money if you give us something we really want. The new camera is OK why not make it to the absolute best camera?
nothing that makes sense on jumping from my 13 prox max to the 16, only thing was going to be apple inteligence but it came without it so... waiting for the 17
Naaan! Nowadays, no new phones(Google, Samsung or Apple) actually matter. We are going to wait for 5 years to get a new phone. We barely use new features on daily basis. Period
Apple ran out of ideas and went back to making everything thinner again no one cares how thick it is we all use cases anyway and if you don’t the thinner it is less durable and harder to hold on to. I want thicker better battery life headphone jack like the old days.
Are better cameras still "what ppl care about" similar to ridiculous high refresh rates and screen res, phone cameras are now better than the human eye so how much better can they get. Software is all that matter now
I had an iPhone X worst iPhone for me yet I like the Max size iPhones bigger screen bigger battery I even got a bigger screen with my 16 Pro Max not that I can tell Smaller thinner less screen smaller battery is not for me Great video I would really like to hear your actual thoughts on it is it something you would want for your personal iPhone
Apple is serving us a pile of nonsense. They are still working the bugs out of iOS 18.1 and the iPhone 16. We are bumping up against the limitations of battery technology short of some breakthrough the phone is not getting any thinner and who needs a thinner phone anyway. A thinner phone would be far more subject to frame damage if you accidentally sat on it in your back pocket. It would be toast. We don’t need a better camera either. We don’t need a newer Wi-Fi standard either because the whole industry keeps picking frequencies because of space limitations that don’t propagate very well. 2.4 GHz is still my go to frequency when traveling around my property. Not everyone is going to string up access points all over the place and spend hours managing the whole thing or buying expensive equipment like Remember when Motorola first introduced the flip phone? Until Apple does something distinctly different there’s really no reason to keep replacing your phone. How many cycles have we thought that maybe we’ll get a display on the back and yet we have nothing. The camera button is OK but it clearly needs refining and more user choose options about how it works . Apple is becoming the Netgear of phones. Introduce hardware and then write the software or correct the software later at the expense of user aggravation
Sorry, where is the innovation? Nothing here is interesting at all. Apple used to be not about spec numbers, now it’s all minor numbers change: 120hz, thinner mm, 24mp. Who CARES?
Who in the world would want a thinner phone? Physics is a thing, I don't believe we're at the point where phones can be very thin but durable (Jerry's bend test) with amazing cameras and good battery life, that ain't happening anytime soon. And if you comprimise on that while increasing price, I don't see any reason to buy it except to brag. Who complained that phones are too thick? People complain that phones are too big, not too thick.

Forget about the iPhone 17. I wanna hear more about the iPhone 21...
😂😂
But who even asked for a thinner phone at the expense of internal hardware? Phones nowadays are really thin anyway, and it's solving a problem that, again, does not exist.
Thinner phone means less material to manufacture and a reason for them to charge more. It's for Apple's benefit, not for consumers at this point.

Average people care about lightness and thinness more than 120hz screens.
And again people like smaller devices😊
I did
Jerry Rig will be most hyped for this
120hz is everything for me
No one needs a slim iPhone, we need MORE BATTERY LIFE!!!
They last 6 hours if you need more tian that u need help. Straight up.
So…if you don’t need it, don’t get it. They have several models for every phone version. Get the model that you do want. This isn’t new.
Speak for yourself! I want a thin phone. If you don’t care about carrying a giant brick around, then prove it and go buy yourself a battery case. I never understand these people that cry about more battery when they can literally solve their own problem.
I agree with the many other commenters saying who wants a thinner phone. I know size matters, but not at the expense of capability or battery life.
Who asked for a slim iphone? I’ve seen people asking for a mini comeback and for a foldable iphone ….
Nobody needs a foldable phone!
Nobody needs a foldable phone!

I don’t want a thinner phone , but a smarter phone ! The battery in the 16 pro max is great !
Ok…so just get the variant that you DO want. They have a several variations for every phone release.
better cam, better processor, slimmer and better battery. This is what they advertise every year since iPhone 4. Imagine the vast improvement you'll get if you wait 3 years or more.

She tried to call it the age of social media and not what it really is, the age of hyper narcissism.
I'm not an apple customer, i just watch it for Bridget
ProMotion means an always on display! Which to me makes a big diff, especially as a stand-by mode user
120 refresh rate is a must. On all phones.
Where's Apple's getting their memo from? I mean, who's asking for a thin phone?
To be completely honest, you don’t really notice the 120hz unless you have the phones side by side or maybe when you first switch. After that, non issue. I’m a pro user no matter what though. I want the best of the best!

I’m using 11 pro. I’ll wait for 17 💀
I am using 11 pro too haha
120hz doesn’t matter for me if it’s reflected in the price. Thus, the problem…
Yes it does can’t look at a normal iphone screen so laggy.
Please just make one that flips. Please. I’m not upgrading because they’re so boring
I mean… Samsung also announced their “slim” version, I wonder if everyone bashing the iPhone will sing the same tune when CNET covers that lol
120hz matter

I for one don't want a slimmer iPhone. Giving up great all-day battery life or risk another bend gate doesn't interest me at all.
It makes you laugh, as the same analysts are now talking about the iPhone 18 😆
Yawn.. yah, thinner my case will live that. Camera ok.

How to buff a overly tiny battery?
Solid state battery instead of lithium ion.
We only need a mini variant.
lets talk about 60hz ☠️
Put an ultra wide on the front for group selifies
The iPhone 17 will be "the best iPhone ever" 😎
Yes yes its too soon. Its 2 years too soon
nothing that makes sense on jumping from my 13 prox max to the 16, only thing was going to be apple inteligence but it came without it so... waiting for the 17
Maybe they are making it thin to prepare for folding iPhone
Naaan! Nowadays, no new phones(Google, Samsung or Apple) actually matter. We are going to wait for 5 years to get a new phone. We barely use new features on daily basis. Period
Exactly !! Don't Blame Bridget !
IPhone XS Max here waiting for 17
120 HZ doesn't matter to the Apple sheep no way I'll pay 1000 for a phone with 60 HZ apple apple apple sheep
Should I wait for iPhone 17 or wait for 18 🤔. Slim 17 means without battery or battery will be sold separately as accessory, confusing 😅.
Apple ran out of ideas and went back to making everything thinner again no one cares how thick it is we all use cases anyway and if you don’t the thinner it is less durable and harder to hold on to. I want thicker better battery life headphone jack like the old days.
iPhone 17 slim, would be great. My m4 iPad is so thin and so cool
Are better cameras still "what ppl care about" similar to ridiculous high refresh rates and screen res, phone cameras are now better than the human eye so how much better can they get. Software is all that matter now
The Plus model was the best model
If it is that thin, maybe they are finally working on a flip iPhone!
The iPhone 16 just came out. Apple needs to relex
Next will be Seasonaly or Quarterly
I’m not going to upgrade to 16, now you are suggesting that 17 is going to be a boring update too??
Time to switch to android?
Yes 120hz matter, even budget phones have them now. The fact that the iPhone 16 does not is criminal
I had an iPhone X worst iPhone for me yet I like the Max size iPhones bigger screen bigger battery I even got a bigger screen with my 16 Pro Max not that I can tell
Smaller thinner less screen smaller battery is not for me

"My! What big eyes you have!"
Or they could fix the terrible iOS keyboard… an actual problem to solve
120 hertz matters
Yes it does.
yes 120hz matters
COME THEN U GOING TO MAKE THE SAME VIDEO ON IPHONE 17 AND 18, TRUST ME.

No one cares. I won’t upgrade my
iPhone until I get a flip or fold iPhone
Ok, then don’t! Like, what?! 😅 Funny guy.
