  • I often get questions about how to roast potatoes without oil and no air fryer, and still get them to taste good. So in this video I’ll show you how to easily make oil free crispy potatoes!
    Even if I focus on eating a whole food plant based diet, I don’t cut out all oil, but when I cook at home I often cook without it and it works great!

      Do you mean baking powder or baking soda? I've seen other similar recipes and they all say baking soda. I think baking powder is only used in baking pastries and other dough.

    Awesome… I have been eating this way since Jan ( mainly potatoes and veggies) and have lost nearly 40lbs. Feeling so great and sharing my journey on YT. I love love potatoes.. I do use my air fryer at least 2 x day if not more. I also always pre boil my potatoes. I will add the baking powder now, thank you for the tip 🥔🥔💚😘

    So decided to make these, saw you on Instagram, I took them out of the oven tasted them and thought they weren’t bad but def not like fried potatoes right, but my 2 1/2 yo daughter asked if the potatoes were done, so I had no choice but to let her have some or else a tantrum was coming. Long story short, she LOVED them! Ate about 15-20 pieces!!! She never eats that much lol thank you for your attention to detail in your recipes and my toddler thx you for this delish recipe 💞

      @@anonymousj3564 hey you replied, woohoo!
      Oh yeah, great you're planning on going vegan, and I understand about the mindset thing. So I'll let you in on how it happened for me...
      I was thinking more ethically minded, I even had this idea about milk chocolate Easter eggs, I thought well I'll just get them after Easter, once they're getting rid of them. No harm in that, right? But really, I was just foolish myself.
      Anyway, maybe a few months afterwards, I stumbled across an earthling ed video, where he talked about being at a farm. A mother cow was with its new born baby, then the farmer takes the baby calf, and throws it in a wheelbarrow, separating the baby from its mother. He went into detail, but you get the picture.
      So, while I was listening to him, explaining it in such detail, I was picturing it all in my head... it was like I could feel that mothers pain, it really hurt.
      So, that connection happened. Honestly, I didn't have a choice, I had to be vegan. It just, happened... there's no justification I can lean on, to make it feel ok to eat animal products anymore, none at all.
      After that day, I just binge watched vegan content for a few months, from ethics, debates, and also food... and WOW, it opened up a whole new world for me! All these different dishes, so good! The healthy dishes, plus there are amazing deserts. So I found out there's absolutely no need for eggs and dairy anyway.
      That was about 4 years ago. Like I said, there's no other option for me. I felt that cows pain... I can't have anything to do with such a cruel industry. I use to see the horrible footage, thinking "they're just showing the worst, it's not that bad"... but learning about it, even the standard practices are cruel enough. The animals are simply a product. Horrible. It's really sickening, yet people continue to take advantage of there power over the helpless...

    • @AlexandraAndersson
      @AlexandraAndersson  3 роки тому +2

      Yes sure most spices are processed in some way! I was talking about oil because it is refined, not much nutrients are there after processing (like the fat from olives to make olive oil etc) . While some processed foods like spices aren’t stripped from nutrients to same extent 😊
