She portrayed the Mystery Writer Jessica Fletcher in the TV Series Murder She Wrote (1984 - 1996).
She Portrayed Miss Price in the 1971 Disney Live Action Movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
She Portrayed Miss Stitch in the 2005 Movie Nanny McPhee.
She Portrayed Mrs. Van Gundy in the 2011 movie Mr. Poppers Penguins.
She also did some Voice Acting too.

Me 5 and my mom 6!! Grew up watching her on MSW and was thrilled for her to play Mrs. Potts - I was 12 when it came out. ❤️ Absolutely love Angela Lansbury - a wonderful and truly beautiful person. A true lady! We will miss her terribly! 😭😭❤️❤️
I know she has been having some struggles with keeping her voice healthy, but she sounds so light, yet full and beautiful! She sounds healthy and you can tell she's doing well. I'm so happy for Shania, as I feel she has been under appreciated since her hey-day (Come on Over). This was a surprisingly beautiful fit for her, and I have no doubt Alan Menken brought out the best of her voice. The nod to Angela Lansbury is an emotional, but perfect completion of this great song. Well done!!
She had surgery sometime last year to help with the vocal cord issue that she got from Lyme disease. She has sounded mucky better since that time. Her recent performances are just awesome.
yeah, her voice has definitely improved. it sounds so strong. when she returned to music she used to sound like she was always about to cry, and although her voice has changed, it sounds rich and sultry now. very "filled" sound. way to go shania.

She has a surgical operation where they basically stiched in "crutches" to stabilize her vocal chords. Due to the damage of Lymes disease it caused they muscles to not vibrate symmetrically like they normally would so these implants help to balance it. She's mentioned shes worried because there's no telling how long it will last so shes making the best of it while she can. I've seen her in concert twice now from her last tours and im so excited to ve going to her new tour starting next year! Shania is a true icon!
Glad they got Alan Menken involved (for authenticity) and Shania is one of my all time favorites.
They also got Richard White (Gaston’s voice actor) and Paige O’Hara (Belle’s voice actor) in the beginning!

Shania understood the assignment! There was no need to overdue it as this was the the films Angela Lansbury version & she did it too perfection-love it!
Never have a thought Shania Twain would sing this but her chops and style turned out to be perfect for a modern take without diverting from the music’s core and soul. BRAVO!

She nailed this. Expected her to overdo the riffs but she just added a few here and there for stylistic purposes while staying true to the original’s simplicity.

Not sure why you expected her to “overdo the riffs”. She has never been a singer to riff, just look at her recordings and live performances over the past 30 years. She doesn’t do that.
She has done some riffs nd runs in her singing, but never overdone.
In fact, Angela is the reason it's as simple as it is. The more poppy version you hear at the credit in the film is the original version of the song, but she said she couldn't sing like that, so they told her just sing it her way and she did.
They used her very first take for the film.
Her voice doesn't allow her to overdo songs
I'm sure If Angela Lansbury was Still Alive, I'm sure that she would've been so proud at Shania Twain, also I'm sure that Angela Lansbury's Spirit was With Both Shania Twain and Alan Menken respectively, giving each of them, Strength, Guidance, and Confidence.
Shania was just amazing. I had some pretty good expectations, but she is by far surpassed them anyway. I love her. RIP, Angela Lansbury. The voice of all of our childhoods.

@@lenstgelais7376, no, this is NOT a Celine Dion song. Céline Dion and Peabo Bryson sang a pop duo version of the song, after the movie was released. This is a tribute to Angela Lansbury and she made the song iconic in the Beauty and the Beast animated film, which the song was written for.

This truly was a beautiful tribute to Angela Lansbury. I was literally sobbing when Shania Twain sang this song because I grew up loving Ms Lansbury as Mrs Potts and I was sad that Angela was gone. Shania did a fabulous job singing this enchanting melody. It was a wonderful way to honor Angela Lansbury.
