Really appreciate how you create your tools. I saw so many of your videos and love how you think of creative ways to get the same results that these big companies do with their over price tools
Hardest part about having one is retraining yourself NOT to go digging in the bin for resistors any more :) I always forget I have mine but a beauty tool. Great vid
@@theGADGETSplaylist Funny I ran across your vid- Took the F150 in today for work and on FB tonight I see the shop owner selling his old scan tools. MAC Mentor up to date for the basics and scope module $150. Ummm sold ha. Damn trade is in my blood I guess
I've got a cheap 4 decade box with wipers and 1/4 watt resistors 1/2 watt on these and nice rotary switches and that same outfit does make a similar capacitor box...not sure I'll swing for that...but ya never know:) take good care, Ian
Nice job, I'm guessing the 0.5w resistors are suitable for the computer circuits? That is where I was unsure. Still liked the interchangeable lamp load tool as well. Very well played. I'm sure there will be plenty more. Very cool. :)

thanks so much:)
Professional Job! Solder connections are top notch. Looks like a fun build.
yep, it's a nice KIT...and will be useful

Yep! Way better than the rubbish I bought. I like the 4mm receptacles too. Same company offers a capacitor box as well I believe. Cheers Denis 👍

Where does one procure such a nifty piece of kit? That and the "interchangeable lamp load tool" that other poster mentioned?
I got the kit on Amazon...quick search for ELENCO RS-400 should find
not sure what was meant by "interchangeable lamp load tool" ...
Funny, when I search for rs-400 it says it's a CAPACITENCE" box and the resistance box is K-37. But I Cleary see RS-400 and resistance in your video.

yes, these are 1/2 watt resistors and solid rotary switches
resistors are 5% accuracy
I’m drooling already!! R they switches, or do they act like a rheostat?
positive rotary switches Bill...not wipers like the cheap decade boxes
also 1/2 watt resistors
nice little project
Bonjour , c'est un super outil pour le diag
oui...et un plaisir a assemble...vas etre untile, j'en suis sur
