Today, we're flying straight into the eye of the storm to unveil the saga of a boy who, with his trusty glider, loyal sky bison, and a heart full of courage, embraced his destiny as the savior of the world - Avatar Aang.
We’re trying something new with this video: it’s gonna be a combination of Aang’s biography with some lesser-known facts about everyone’s favorite cabbage-crasher. Yeah that’s what the video is…they said that right upfront at the start, this video was made to be a one shop stop for all Aang information so it would start with fun facts and then transition to a biography ensuring that this video includes every piece of information about Aang that’s possible.

The Kyoshi novels are no longer canon now that its being rebooted by the original creators
Aang is also the Avatar with 2 spirit animals. Namely Momo the lemur and Appa the flying bison.
I believe Avatar Kyoshi also had two, a fox and a big fish.

I think there is a scene in which showcased a rare instance in which Aang intentionally killed a living creature (vulture-wasp?). I think this was the episode in which they got stuck in the desert following the loss of Appa.

6:25 Kyoshi's parents were Earth Kingdom and Air Nomad and she was in a relationship with a fire nation woman.
The novel is no longer canon now that they’re creating an animated adaptation of her story by the original creators. It’s a reboot so it’ll most likely keep that plot point the same but until it’s release Kyoshis parents lineage is no longer canon

For Aang, all Air Nomands are born with the ability to airbend (due to their strong spiritual connection), so his parents were, by nature, benders.
For Piandao, a quick google search has shown me that this quote was in an "Avatar Encyclopedia", which now no longer exists:
"Piandao was born to two Firebenders. Ashamed that their only son wasn’t a bender, his parents left him on the doorsteps of an orphanage"
Piandos backstory is told in one of the canon books I forgot which one
There’s probably more but these are the only 2 characters that have verified parents who are both non benders. All Airbender are benders so aangs parents are benders and piando has 2 firenation parents as explained by the creators when asked in an interview

4:34 when was it confirmed that Aang's parents were benders? Or Piandao's?
In a side comic it was revealed that both of Piando’s parents where firebender and upon discovery of his lack of bending they gave him up for adoption. For Aang it’s assumed his parents are both benders as all air nomads are benders due to their spiritual connection.
When is it established that all air nomads are air benders??
I loved the video! Always happy to see this, only question is that around the 70s it feels a bit like you’re just telling the story, which is fair enough but I thought the facts wouldn’t be just the plot! Either way still love your other videos
Yeah they said at the start they’re trying something new, the video is made up of fun trivia at the start and a biography at the end so it’s the most complete source of Aang information possible

@@Soul-cry1 That’s still considered facts, I mean this is literally a video with every piece of information you could ever know about Aang. What more can you ask for? Frederator told everything they could about the character and upfront said at the start this would be a biography along with a facts video.

@@Soul-cry1yeah they said they where trying something new, I actually don’t mind the video it included parts of his story from the comics and other canon sources so I found it interesting. I watched the entire thing and enjoyed it despite the fact it was plot points.
