Absolute thank you for the help, I’ve retrofitted LED HID projector lights to my Octavia. I was stuck for awhile in all honesty until I seen this Many thanks
Hello, I'll probably need to remove the front wings from my Seat Toledo MK4 (basically the same car as this Skoda)... does the bumper need to be completely removed in order to remove front wing or is it enough to do this up until the 3:08 mark?
I removed all the bolts last night and my issue is really figuring how to get any room to play with for your hand(s) while the wheel arch liner is still there, but most screws are unscrewed. I did manage it eventually after a lot of swearing, but now I start to wonder how I'll be able to mount those screws again when I'm putting it all back together. I use a drill with a long bendable attachment and another drill attachment which is a 90 degree extension so I can alter the angle dependant on what I need. Even though this works wonders for many applications, it was proper hell to find a way to reach especially the innermost bolt of the two, because I just cannot see what I'm doing because the bloody liner is constantly being in the way. I thought before I was going to do this that I would have clear sight and good enough access to those two bolts, but given how hard the liner is it is giving you hell. EDIT: I have to say though that my car is on the ground with wheels on(obviously) which does not help. I do not have a flat and hard surface to put my car on stands, so it is what it is.
Hi yes I believe you can swap the grille, I wouldn’t like to try without removing the whole bumper, but it might be possible at a stretch.. Hope that helps a little?
@FixItWithJon thanks for the reply mate! I will search for a grille and try and change it with the bumper off the car. Had a gay at a Skoda dealer that told me I need the change the whole bumper for a new grille.
@katehyde2232 glad it helped :-) Filming took three days and three separate takes. It was a real pig of a job to work it out, but with the guidance in the video and the right tools I would expect you to have the bumper off well within three hours on your first go. Hope that helps?
I've somehow managed to break one of the release clips and now can't release one side. Any ideas how I can release it with the clip where you push down is broken off?
Unfortunately pal your only real option is brute force - one of mine broke off in the end but I found that made it stop latching so it made it easier to remove.. Let me know how you get on?

Hiya, no there’s no need to remove the bumper / headlight - as long as you take out the 2 “difficult” bolts behind the headlight. Hope that helps?

I have 2 questions about this. Can the radiator grille be removed from the front bumper?
Can you swap the radiator grille without removing the bumper?

Thanks for this. How long do you think the removal and refitting would take to complete?

Cheers for the video, if I wanted to replace just the black grill and not the bumper is it a whole bumper off job I assume? Thanks
@tomludlow6516 Unfortunately yes pal - it's a ****ache but quite easy once you've done it once..
