I saw them in Oakland a day after finding out a friend had committed suicide. I feel like I can't explain to anyone who doesn't already understand how this made me feel better. But it was cathartic as fuck. I cried, I don't care. This is a place for everyone who's ever felt this way to connect.
This is a very powerful song from what I consider to be the best album from Loss. The vocals are low and every note sounds sad. I don't think it's possible to crush it any harder than this in the world of funeral doom.
I have found one piece of work which is more crushing because of that i dont go to often that way and i prefer Loss anyway. If you are interested listen to "worship dooom" which leaves you totally crushed.
@@badatlife8793 received the Loss Album today on vinyl finally 😁. If you are a lot into funeral doom, you can give "Stygian from Atramemtus" a try. It's one of my all time favorites. "The Sadness of Time Passing from Profetus" is also good stuff ;).

I don't listen to Doom that much, but man this is memorable.

In a genre where so many bands are formulaic, Despond stands proud. It's crushing, uncomfortable & just brilliant. This is the best track IMO.

Conseptual funeralism is the best song on the album, but this is the song that got me hooked.
