The MORE I listen to this . . . the happier I get. I love how miserable this is. It hurts inside, it's cruel and bitter in it's savage pain. Every note pulls harder on the emotions and doom is felt to the bone. How fuckin' good is this track. Funeral Doom at it's best I say. My only criticism is to SLOWWWW it down just a bit to make the pain last. The more miserable a song is . . . the happier I feel. We NEED more LOSS!!!!!
These guys make me proud and very comfortable with myself that I'm a self prescribed loner. I've been burnt far too many times by so-called "friends" to buy into that game anymore.
I saw this band play in Oakland some years ago, days after a friend committed suicide. Somehow this music was more helpful and healing than anything else. This is catharsis.
all funeral doom is , slower then regular doom and is mixed with violins or keyboards the death Vox are deeper then deathdoom or goth death any death lol! Lyricsm is basically inspired by Burzum and Joy Division and GG Alin any drug oriented depressing suicide groups not just metal and obviously the father Black Sabbath. what so convuluded?
It's definitely heavier, slower, the vocals are usually more prolonged and deeper. The vocals are closer to death metal kind of grunts. The atmosphere is more depressing or gloomy allround.

I fucking love their sound, one of the best funeral doom bands
This band manages to get into my feelings every single time
Was a pleasure touring/playing with them while I was in Shroud of Bereavement back in 2006, was a fun time! I had a blast!

I fuckin' LOVE this. So miserable I could dance :)
Love this band, and I hope I get a chance to see them one day. They are towards the top of the list of bands I need to catch live.

it's not spoon fed to them culturally so they complain :/
Mike made that song about me
Anyone know what kinda gear they are running? Killer sound. One of my favorites for the past decade. Dude sounds like a dragon on vocals.
Can hear a lot of Agalloch and early Katatonia in those chord progressions. Nice! Will need to check out more.
a little bit to fast damn!

So now there's a sub-genre of doom metal called funeral doom? What's the difference? Geez, all these genres of metal can get quite convoluted.
+6672rock you can hear the difference when you listen to a "normal" doom band like candlemass
