She lists a litany of problems facing men and identified by MRAs and then promptly says "not to go along with that". Why not go along with that? Why not just admit that MRAs are right about suicide and child custody and take action to even things out? Feminism has utterly failed men and shows no sign of reforming, so why not listen to MRAs about men's issues? It seems reasonable to me.
My ears perked up around the suicide portion - oh hey, that's a patriarchal issue. Why? Because it holds up the idea that men should be strong, never show emotions. Oh well if men do that, and feel they can't expressed themselves because they will be labeled as "weak", that they need to figure stuff out on their own, it gets too much and this is where you see higher percentages of men committing suicide.
@@adriandaniels1 men don’t commit suicide more because they fail to express their emotions like women. Men commit suicide more because (1) their lives are far more intolerable than women on average, and (2) they’re more likely than women to use violent means of suicide, I.e, follow through.

Is there actually a difference between 'biblical' and feminist Patriarchies? Men being responsible for women and children necessitates the male authority that feminists object to so much. I think the central problem with feminist analyses of men is their desire to divorce the former from the latter. Feminists take male responsibility for granted in the form love, reparations to women or a communistic duty to society. Men's issues are then located solely in seeking authority (by competing for status, for example) but that misses the effects of having to demonstrate the capacity to be responsible (by amassing wealth, for example). bell hooks, I believe, wrote a passage which portrayed men as traumatised jailers. That illustrates how one-sided feminist analyses of men are. Men are the only agents in that scenario, both cause and effect; gender occurs out of nothing. edit: paragraphs
There is barely any patriarchy anymore. Patriarchy means e.g. the father has the say of who can court or marry the daughter. This is just one factor out of hundreds that's disappeared since patriarchy has disappeared mostly. Trying to maintain that patriarchy is still dominant when it's obviously not shows the irrationality and erroneousness of most of so-called feminist discourse.
What an opportunist! "..like historical oppression of woman..." and then "male suffering, complaints, worries and anxieties, that men have". Not to mention she cant acknowledge misandry, while touting misogyny as a concept.
@@JustinMurphy, yes she does, I just find it funny that she avoids the term, and uses a list of examples. Like instead of condemning racism, one were to list how its is wrong that chattel slavery was a thing US, that some African Americans suffer and complain about stuff... ;)
I like how she keeps redefining📚 things like, " Patriarchy," and keeps reiterating♾ the fact that Femanisum🧟♀️ doesn't know what🤷♀️ it's fighting for.🤦♂️
She talked a lot without actually saying very much. Her paying lip service to men's issues looks like more of a PR exercise. Shame no points of contention were debated, such as the (well debunked) gender pay gap, women getting the right to vote without having to sign up for the draft, feminism really being about selective equality etc

Im dumber than a rock but even I can see she's an ally of men. How stupid are you then.
She says the patriarchy is bad for men too!
I wonder if she would ever say hypergamy is bad for woman too!
Lol
Red pill and feminism is polar opposite

Really, all she said was men are the enemy; we need to understand our enemy to defeat them, and we will never know why we are fighting them.🤦♂️
You are immensely irritating, Diana.

She does acknowledge misandry, she speaks unfavorably of stuff like "kill all men" etc.

hypergamy still in full effect in the west, till we scale that back things will get worse
Islam will put women in their place if the western man finds himself unable to.

When you say that men 'go to extremes' you are only talking about physicality, not lies and manipulation. Ms Heard.
Superb taste in books (HP Lovecraft) and she seems to have a common sense approach to gender conflict/feminist ideas. I like her!
But you would still describe this as a feminist project? “yes” face palm that’s already starting with bias
I don't know what the answer will be but this 'feminism-lite' isn't it.
That's poggers!
