The 1 GB of RAM really crippled the 6. That’s why the 6s (went up to 2 GB) saw such a boom with improvements.
There was more to it than just the increased RAM. Opening apps was also significantly faster because of the NVMe storage on the 6S which made drawing to memory really fast as well. The A9 was a quite healthy improvement over the A8 as well. All of those together were why the 6S was only a year newer than the 6, but got two years more OS updates(iOS 15.7 vs 12.7).
That and the A9 chip was also a huge jump and the addition of NVME storage. The 6s/6s plus are actually still decent phones. Other factors are at play besides ram.
I'm still using the 6 until now and I gotta say it still runs as good as modern phones, some issue are that most apps are now unsupported requiring mostly iOS 13 and later, launching an app takes about a 10-30 seconds, and battery life lasting only 6 hours.
I also use 6 but my battery lasts like 3hr😞

I’ve had my iPhone 6 for 4 years now and I really like this phone because the form factor is definitely one of apple’s best in my opinion. It’s kinda sad because app support has been lacklustre as of lately. This phone also had a headphone jack which is really quite useful. I might try upgrade to the iPhone SE 3 this year because of the fact that it keeps the same form factor with the newer A15 bionic chip.
The form factor is the first thing I noticed about the phone. Just wonderful to hold in the hand

Pretty well any modern smartphone has a decent enough camera for most people; people complain about single cameras like the new iPhone SE but they’re all honestly fine unless you’re a photographer
Agreed. Any photographer is more than likely going to start with an iPhone, and upgrade to a bigger DSLR as well. At least that was my videography path

im currently using iphone 6s plus now..no problem so far even at 16gb i managed to disciplin my downloads to least..this puts me to offliad unusable apps and put me in a situtation to focus more on whats important to work

I use an iPhone 6S Plus 64 GB and it works excellent, just a little slower then the newer versions. But I do not play games, so the difference is not huge.
I used the iPhone 6 Plus as a backup for 2 months. It worked well for the most basics.
I am glad I am not the only one that hates new phones and am trying to find the perfect balance in a phone. Currently using 2016 SE and am enjoying it.
An iPhone 6s or something newer is significantly better for T-Mobile since they get LTE Band 12 (which improves T-Mobile's indoor signal).
Have you ever thought of moving to android? They have minimalist launchers
My great grandma had a 6 all the way up until Christmas of 2022 and did a fine job for all those years until there new 14

I loved my iPhone 6. The mother board burnt out and died. My husband won’t let me use his. I would have chosen the iPhone 8 with maximum storage. I have a iPhone 14 and my back up phone is an 11.
Why not get an iPhone 7 with 256GB? Still old enough to be inconvenient but could solve your photos issue and has the same form factor etc

I cannot use the Apple iPhone 6, as it does not support the payment apps in India. Hence, using an Apple iPhone 7 128GB, got it for 50$.
One flip phone is the Jazz Digit 4G. It is a nice little thing to use. Get it and you won’t regret it.

@@arasyrlmz_nzxt4487 still using it, battery got replaced, a lot of apps are unsupported, works pretty decently for a decade old phone, still get the basics like I message and Face time, camera still has a pretty good quality, its nothing special though

Idk why people think if they have an older or smaller phone it’ll keep them from using it as much. I use old and small iPhones all the time and I’m practically always on them.

totally nothing wrong with the 6. I used the iPhone 6 for soooo many years , I can’t remember exactly what year but I got it forsure 7th or 8th grade after having my first iPod touch in 6th grade. I’m 19 now turning 20 in june and I used that iPhone 6 forever! I barely upgraded to the the 13 pro about 8 months ago and damn I felt like a grandpa using it , I didn’t know how to do a handful of things on it i was lost without that home button trying to control that thing 😂😂😂 iPhone 6 gang tho fasho 👌🏼❗️I wouldn’t mind using it again at all just the screen is way to small now for me I would want at least the 6splus that phone is amazing too with it’s size 💯
I bought one didn’t know about the s model, stuck on iOS 12.... other wise it would have still been able to do almost all basic apps, messages and pics, I have to use web browser to view eBay, email, and such and even sometimes it dosesnt load correctly all the time lol
I have no problem with storage i dont take very few photos and dont save get real camera
