My daughter is still using her iPhone X. She's used it all through college, she's graduating as a doctor of veterinary medicine in May 😊
Congratulations 🎊 I pray that you both will come to know the goodness of Jesus Christ and serve Him 🙏
Congratulations ❤

Kinda hard to believe that phone is almost 7 years old
I remember just like yesterday was my dream phone time flies 😮😮😮scary

shows how boring iPhone designs has been as of late... they all look so similar that the iPhone X still looks almost the same as an iPhone 14
@@ronaldmcdonald6067 are you actually insane lmao. Compare the X to 15 pro/ pro max. Oh wait, you can’t, because every single part of the phone is different 😂😂😂😂 stupid comment.
I’ve been using an iPhone 13 Mini for a year and a half and I will use it until it explodes. It’s the greatest smartphone I’ve ever used. Sheer perfection. Bliss.
AGREED! i swap from the 13 mini and the Oneplus 7T pro and i dont wanna upgrade ANYTHING anytime soon
i swap from the iphone 8 to the 12 mini, and the form factor is just top tier
I’m going to be using my iPhone X until it explodes as well
Why would it explode? Stop the drama
@@RagingBad it's just a term for "i will use it until it breaks"
Aged like wine, this phone is one of the best pieces of engineering ever made
Currently with a Samsung lost my iPhone X 2 weeks ago I can’t 😢
Absolutely correct. It's crazy to buy most tech new. My wife had an old 3G phone and replaced it a couple of years ago with an iPhone 7 for $90. Loves it. Needed a new battery recently, but that's been the only extra cost. My iMac is a refurb and so is our M1 air. I buy all my camera gear and audio gear used.
It's hard to say unless you just buy the older model. I buy mostly refurbished phones but the one thing about used/refurbished phones is that you don't know what the battery life is like unless you buy Apple refurbished. At least with a new phone you get a new battery. Last year was the first year I bought a new older model iPhone. I got the iPhone 13 since the price has dropped and I traded in an older phone and had some credits. The thing about iPhones is the price doesn't drop that much. So if you get an older model that is new in the box then the prices isn't that much of a difference. I just wanted to treat myself last year and it was the first time I bought a new phone in probably ten years.
7 bit old though
@@KoalaBeer.And....their choice right 🤔
iPhone 7 is old ,there are many restrictions with iPhone 7 in 2024 ,I would say iPhone X is good but lower then that it became an issue
Not as old as an 3G phone@@KoalaBeer.
In terms of innovation and design, Apple really peaked with the iPhone x
Not really ,they peaked it with iPhone 13 Pro series
@@Omar-kl3xp how so?

Got this as my first phone brand new. It lasted me until the very beginning of 2024 then it started to show its age. I really loved that phone and it has been through it all. It served me well, great phone!
Replacing the battery will help it a lot! That's what I've done with my 8 Plus.
i still use an iphone x to this day, still very usable phone in 2024. the battery in my model and only 64gb of storage are the only things that make me want to upgrade.
I had an X like a year ago and like I upgraded it to 12 I kinda miss X coz the difference in the premium feel that x had is on an another level , yea 64 gb and battery below 79% health was my limiting factor and for some strange reason the display of my x had too come out , the service person said it was coz of over heating etc.
I got mine 3 days ago. I am loving it except the battery backup.
@@yaysyu man its a beautiful , even non pro phone of this gen can't be compared to its beauty , I had x and a year or two ago i switched to 12 , x was the best in terms of quality and feel in hand
Hi there I'm planning to buy iphone x but my friend tell it doesn't have true tune and he tell he didn't change the screen ! Is it new updates or he is wrong
@@samehnada4488 it has true tone, true tone has been a feature since the iphone 7 or 8, cant remember. it didnt get ios 17 and wont get ios 18 though, so you would be stuck on ios 16.
I use an XS Max since day one, works great!

This makes me grateful about my iPhone Xs. I’ve been using it for years and now I just had to change the battery because it drains like reallyfast. But overall, it’s still pretty great phone and enough for my use.
I’m planning to upgrade to a newer iPhone (either 14 or 15) by 2025 or later, and going to use it for 3+ years.
Until then I’ll use my Xs until Apple stopped updates for it.
The end of life cycle is just around the corner. I think they killed off the iPhone 8 updates. Roughly it's a six years of support for iPhones.
Using an Xs too! it still performs well and I know it will still be usable for years. Camera is also still good, it’s just the battery that needs to be replaced. I only have 76% battery health with 4-5 hours straight of screen time so I might just replace it also.
My Xs Max was a great phone, after 3 years of daily use the battery was still at 90% health. After the experience of this fantastic phone and with hindsight, I do wonder the real point of continual upgrade to the latest models.
This phone is beyond capable of doing modern tasks and should have received iOS17, it is not the same as the iPhone 8 which is also still quite capable, unfortunately the X does have some issues from a manufacturing standpoint which mine fell victim to on Tuesday, the screen can become unresponsive to touch but usually a hard reset fixes it but over the week this stopped working and the phone is completely unresponsive to touch even after being factory reset when the phone did respond to touch and then again when in DFU mode. I don't like the idea of carrying a $1,000 device when i go out, that is a lot of responsibility and worry about losing it. dropping it or getting stolen. All iPhones from the X onwards are so capable of doing all modern tasks that there is no reason to financially burden yourself to buy something as a status symbol and with the rate of iPhone thefts i think that status symbol can become a target in some cases which is very unfortunate.
I agree
I've been on the cycle you mentioned with the iPhone 8 Plus. The X and the 8 Plus are essentially the same internals and the same camera.
Still using iphone 8. Works fine
Bro same lol
Great review and thank you for putting a lot of financial sense into this video. Enjoyed it!
I use an iPhone 6s as my main phone and it does everything I want and its not slow or anything. If your gonna do a video like this I’d do an older phone since iPhone X isn’t really surprising.
What problems do you face with the iPhone 6S, most importantly the battery
This phone was a big hit i was like whoa 1000 bucks and it was so different can’t believe it’s 6 years old
I use an iphone xs for work and it’s a great phone
Same it’s still an amazing phone even in 2024 and it still takes updates for now
XS is still my main phone. Its amazing. Except the battery
Still have the 11 Pro Max since ‘22. No complaints. Going to replace the battery soon, only reason I want to upgrade is for USB C but I’ll just buy the 15 pro when it’s been 4 years old lol
Just start watching the Keynote from 4 years before instead of the newest one lol. Also don't break the screen... I broke this one on day 2.
Oh wait, you actually broke the screen on this X? Lol@@techno_eclipse
yes..... if you look closely the top right is fractured. I don't know what's wrong with me and screens haha. My MacBook right now is shaking as I type this out
@@techno_eclipse 😂
I have a 14 Pro Max and I love it. The battery capacity isn't great at 93% (well that's iOS 17 and due to my condo getting construction done so I have to be on my phone more to keep myself entertained) but the picture quality and the sound is really good to the point where it sounds better than my JBL headphones which I paid $70 for (on sale). I do think the Dynamic Island is a waste of space though and I would've been okay if Apple kept the notch and just made it smaller. Otherwise, great video and I do like the iPhone X design better than it is now and I wish they brought this back.
By getting older/cheaper tech, what do you get to spend more on with the money you save?
I have a friend who loves his tech. Galaxy Fold, High end PC, Home cinema setup, ebike, Tesla etc.
But to afford those he cheaps out on almost every other aspect in life like food and clothing. Doesn't drink any alcohol or coffee. Very little going out to social events. Never goes on holidays. And no girlfriend/wife.
But he's very happy doing what he likes which is tech stuff.
I think that’s fine. I just want people to invest their money. The number of people retiring with no where near enough in retirement is staggering. I also don’t want people to be materialists and only get value out of thing.
You should watch or listen to "I will teach you to be rich" podcast. That's one of his philosophies, spend money on things that make you happy instead of mindless spending and invest the rest. But of course have an emergency fund. Live your rich life.
I think not spending on alcohol or coffee is a good thing, those two are the most abused substances. Clothes, what is the point of designer clothes? It has not extra features, not advantages. With tech usually the more expensive has added functionality, but comparing $50 sketchers to $200 Nike’s I feel like the sketchers feel better. Social events, some people don’t like going out to parties. I prefer small get togethers with close friends.
If you buy your coffee outside then yes, I can understand him. It adds up very fast. Thats why you have to make your coffee at home.
@@peterparker2068
@peterparker2068 funny enough that was the podcast I was listening to in the video. First time I had heard him, he has some remarkable ideas on money. A must listen at least once for anyone concerned about their finances.
If you’re talking iPhone X. Battery isn’t great. Performance is probably good enough. Camera is alright. Technically it’s not supported with iOS but runs iOS 16 Just fine
Had to use an iphone x as a temp phone earlier in the year since my main iphones broke at the time . i had the battery replaced on the X and it was good as new great phone still in 2024
I use a iPhone XR and it’s really good and it’s still supported so I’m not planning on upgrading anytime soon
iPhone X - the last phone I bought….. my father in law now uses it, still, I loved my iPhone 12 mini, only have a 14 pro as they are provided by my work.
Enjoy your iPhone X - they’re still amazing devices
used to see this phone in a showroom of a telecom store, can't believe this phone is 7 years old
imo - get an iPhone XS.
just like the 3G got the upgrade to the 3GS which made it significantly better (and more software support), the X did with the not much more expensive XS
Thanks Bro, Appreciate it.
My galaxy z fold 2 just stopped working, then i remembered i had an old iphone x laying around. Got it started up again, and the original battery has only lost 11% of maximum capacity. Works like a charm and basically perform as back when i bought it in 2017 at release. I think i can delay an upgrade for a couple of years now. It was the first iphone with faceid, and it still works perfectly, i'm surprised how well it has kept up with time.
Love to here this me still using my galaxy s6 nearly 10 year old still going but with the stupid way of the world I might need an upgrade due to some new apps not being compatible.
I have an XR (128GB) and it works absolutely perfectly fine as of 2024. It’s gotten little slow but that’s just cus I need to delete a bunch of camera roll stuff. (Ik it’s not the exact same model but the newer version of the X but it’s not as different
I think 5 years of using a phone is the most sensible time to get a new phone, but if ur phone works just fine or u don’t have any problems with it, I don’t think u need to get a new one
I remember in 2017 when this thing came out, it was my dream phone. I had an LG G5 back then and it was fine ig, but the iPhone was just beautiful. I would still use it as a secondary phone or something
iPhone is not the only brand producing good stuff.
I had a P30 Pro, which I used for like 3 years ig. Now about a half a year ago, I got a very good phone contract/ deal and bought a Pixel 7 (also as I wanted to try something new).
You asked what happened to the p30 Pro? Well it is still an amazing phone, which is used by my lil sis now. Will live for another 2-3 years at least until we give it to family living back in asia (poor country)
Normally, I would stay with one phone until the day it wouldn't work anymore. The Thing is, that I am a tech enthusiast so I kinda like trying new stuff. Therefore, I will probably change my phone every 2 years, when my contracts end.
But still, my phones always will find a next User.
Btw, I got an Iphone SE 1 in Pink as my 2nd phone as I love the design.
amazing video brother!! Opinions on the se3?
Just purchased it, will be reviewing in a few weeks!
i used my x until may this year. the only reason i upgraded was the battery. its one of my most favorite phones.
I upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro Max and i have to say that its a big upgrade from the iphone x but that phone has a special place in my heart i genuinely wouldnt have upgraded if the battery didnt die so quick even with the repairs
I am happy with my 12 mini using since launch 🙏
I have a problem with iPhone XR . The back camera and the flash aren’t working. I try to fix it but nothing works.
I am still using a iPhone 13 it’s been about 2 years and i got it as a gift from my mom the battery health is at 91 percent even after 2 years of use with 4-5 hours of daily use. I wont be upgrading until my phone won’t stop working
isn't there app limitation on the older IOS? i'm pretty sure i had to buy my mom a new phone because her banking apps werent working due to old IOS
I hate old ios for this I had a Samsung s8 last year working with my bank but an iphine 6 7 and 8 won't work? 😟
Man I used an Iphone SE since 2016 up until 2022 when it stopped getting newer IOS versions, never ever had a hiccup with it other than battery life. Ended finaly upgrading to a Iphone 8 Plus for about a Year and then got the brand new 14PM 512gb(at the time). Still Im a huge beliver that Iphones really can last as mutch as you want. 6 years for a Phone nowadays sounds hella crazy. But im planning to do the same with my 14pm, use it until there no more updates for it
The X series mainly the X to the XS max was prolly the best looking and coolest devices apple has ever made, still using my xs max to this day evethough i have a 15 pro max and a s23 ultra just for the fact that it still looks so glamorous!
Genuinely asking, what is good about 3D touch? Granted I haven't used it, but I have used Haptic Touch which as far as I know offers basically the same functionality just based on press time rather than press intensity, and all that ever did was give me the option to go straight to a specific page of an app, while taking basically exactly the same amount of time as just opening the app and switching to that page the normal way. In fact it actually made my overall experience worse, because whenever I wanted to move an app I had to perform an additional tap on the 're-arrange apps' (or whatever it was) button because long-pressing just brought up the haptic touch menu. Granted again, I've been on Android for the past 3 years so I don't know if things have changed but I was just wondering. Totally agree with the message of the video though, nice work!
It is such a minor thing, and it's impossible to video, but I would describe it as a more human way to interact with the phone. It goes off of pressure and how hard you press, it's such a minor thing and very niche to me specifically. But navigating is so much better with it, albeit not that much better since apple removed it. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment!
@@techno_eclipse Interesting, thanks so much for your reply! My dad has just got himself an iPhone X actually so I'll have to try it out on there.
It’s still very powerful due to the A11 Bionic chip have NVME nand chip on it
i’m still using iphone 7!! still good, even plays games well
Right off the bat is the mention of 3D Touch, man do I miss it
How do you still have that wallpaper?
still usable, replacement battery r quite cheap, and of course the premium feel of "stainless steel" body
I would recommend a iPhone XS or XS max
I upgrade every 4 generations or so, had an iPhone 6s Plus, then onto XS max and now have a 13, only upgraded to a 13 due to damaging the screen on the XS max, hating the cheap replacement which subsequently failed. I’d be quite happy with it if it had its original screen. Prefer the round edges and thinner body.
im still using iphone 7, and for me its still works great
I agree with the buying a used Iphone instead of new. My last 3 phones, XR, Se 3, and Iphone 12 pro were bought used. Between buying and selling, cost me $400 all in, and all 3 were unlocked at the time. Also I have used prepaid for the last 6 years, and most expensive plan I have had was $20 a month. I will never go back to buying a phone from a carrier. Currently using 12 pro, don't see a reason to upgrade for the next few years.
Just changed my iPhone 8 plus for an iPhone 15.
About 3D touch: you can long press on newer iPhone models to get the same effect. It's not as satisfying as the OG 3D touch, but you can get the job done.
About screen: OLED is definitely a win, even if iPhone 15 doesn't support 120 Hz.
About cameras: main camera actually doesn't have a huge upgrade except for the 24 MP mode and night mode, but selfie camera is leaps and bounds better. Ultra wide replaces the telephoto camera, which is a bummer for me since I shoot macros more than landscape. All in all, I can let go of my 8 plus without missing, but can't call 15 a clear win.
About multi-task: due to its RAM size, the 8 plus struggles to run more than 5 apps in the background, some modern app gets purged even with just 3 apps running at the same time. This is a minor annoyance for older models, since you don't really need to run a wall of apps, but 15 is definitely superior, with some future-proof.
About performance and battery: this is the main reason I decided to upgrade now. After 6.5 years, my 8 plus just can't spend a day without 2 charges, even after I changed the battery last year. I found out that if I don't use it, 1 charge can last around 3 days, so the fast battery drain definitely has things to do with the modern OS, but - what's the point of having a phone and not using it? Conclusion: if you're a light user, iPhone 8 plus can serve you well with a battery change, and try to stay before iOS 14 if possible. In this category, I set my iPhone 15 to charge to 80% max, and can still get by a day without charging, so I'm pretty happy about this.
About security: oh how I miss Touch ID. iPhone 8 plus doesn't have the best fingerprint recognition tech, like you can't unlock with a wet hand (eg. in shower), but it works pretty consistently. But when using Face ID, I have to wear my glasses for the phone to recognize me, even after I register an "alternative face" without glasses. This is a huge reason why I chose 8 plus over X in 2017, and Apple still haven't figured it out in 2024.
Xr and xs series also have 3D Touch and software updates may be extended for more time, but the x is still the goat
XR was the first to kill 3D Touch.
XR doesn’t have 3D Touch
The iPhone X aged so well! The A11 Bionic still holds up well and imo could’ve ran iOS 17 I mean the iPad 7th Gen has the A10 Fusion chip also shipped in the iPhone 7, and has iOS 17 support! Apple could’ve still supported the iPhone X but they really want more money
Yes they absolutely could have supported iOS 17. Such a shame
I upgraded from the 11 pro to the 13 pro max and I did not feel a difference and I was kind of tired of always wanting to upgrade so I’m keeping the nice phone until it breaks and then I probably will just buy another nice phone
3D Touch never went away! It was renamed Haptic Touch in the accessibility menu.
3D Touch did go away. It was a physical component. It’s been replaced by software which is Haptic Touch
@@Jon-cu4kv Yes I know it was a physical component but the function of a long press has not gone away. If I remember correctly it was only on the 6S Plus with a physical component.
Using a 12 Pro for almost 3 years now after my X died, still miss it so much 😢
The iPhone X was perfect.
beautiful video
I have the xr I’m gonna get the 12 pro see good cheap is the way to go it’s iPhone60hrtz fine for me oled display 5 g gonna work gonna get updates what else do I need
I have been using xs max till now. Literally 4 years 😊. It works fine for me
I used my xs till the battery failed, 13 was next. I’m going to use it till it dies. Then maybe the15 pro when that gets old
im going to buy a 11 pro max is it good?
Currently I am using an iPhone 13 which I bought it at January 2022 and I still love it as its the new phone. I am hoping I will be using it for another 4 years and change the battery within the next couple of years.
Imagine how many older phones people would still be using if the battery was easily replaceable?
I know it would have been great and I could have saved a lot of money and invest it wisely somewhere else.
using an 11 pro since 2019/2020, and going to wait until the 16 releases.
also thoughts on buying used-good or refurbished?
what if you got a bunch of refurbished phones, and traded them in for more? (like buying refurbished for 150, then trading in for 200)
and yes I'm keeping the 11 pro for the sim card slot...
I am still using it as a secondary
I also have an iPhone 12 mini and a X but also a XS
The 3 phones operate the same, in fact, every iPhone that has no home button operate the exact same style. Not much difference when upgrading except the different cameras and the battery life of each and the chipsets. Not worth upgrading to anything beyond the 12 mini.
I love the iPhone X and I have one but the heating is crazy😭
iPhone SE here, it works better than my pixel 6. But the 6 definitely took better photos
I've been using an iPhone Xs Max since August 2023 when my android phone broke. If I'm being honest, the battery life is pretty bad and there are some software issues here and there (especially now since it's overheating a lot). I can only ever use it for 2-3 hours max because it would die after (even though I'm only using it for social media), however the best thing about it is the camera, design, and software support. I'm honestly amazed at how the Xs Max, released in 2018, is still being supported now in 2024, six years later despite the above issues I've stated.
Though honestly, I believe some of the issues came as this phone has a lot of aftermarket parts. I don't have much complaints because I got it for free lol.
I just bought a brand new iPhone 11 from Tracfone for $249. They also had refurbished ones for $168. I watched several comparison videos between the iPhone 15 and the 11. There's only a fraction of a second difference in most things. It's not worth hundreds to a thousand dollars more. The iPhone 11 is a huge step up for me, considering I was use to budget Androids.
My wife used the 11 for 4 years and loved it. Then I stole it from her and broke the screen..... But it was such a great phone!
This was me before i got a galaxy s9+ that was prolly stolen from a crackhead who owed me $20 lmao
Then i got an IPhone SE 3 for free lol
I’m leaving with iPhone X for past 6 years plus. It’s working like a champ
Plz help android or IP12, which is easier.
I just upgraded from a 12 to a 14 pro max but that was because of the keyboard being to small for me and I wanted a pro because they look cool
Bro I'm using x from 2017 to till now never had any problems only change battery once
The iPhone 11 pro is the PERFECT version of this, although it doesn't have 3D touch. I had a 15 pro but got rid of it, its unnecessary.
I have the 15 but X is still a dream of mine
I’m still using iPhone 7 for now. Beside battery problem, I don’t have any to complain.
After i decide whether i keep the samsung or the iPhone i should really stop thinking about any of the newer phones and not upgrade until like 2027, its so crazy how the human brain works sometimes, just getting thoughts like, “get the iphone 15 pro” for no reason makes me feel stupid af.
Also, today i went on my first real run this year, gotta tell you, its so much harder to actually run after so much running on the spot, but im glad the weather finally allows me to go for runs.
Warm weather is something I am really looking forward to. I am significantly more active when the sun is shining and the birds are chirping!
@@techno_eclipseim both looking forward to it and not looking forward to it, yesterday it was 54 degrees farenheit, in a week its gonna be 80 already, in the summer it’s unbearable where i live.
i have an iphone 12 since like a week. before that i’ve used my iphone x for years and i would still be completely fine with using it. the camera is perfectly good enough, who cares about the microphone and the battery can also be fine.
Just bought an iPhone XS as a work phone, and in comparison to my iPhone 14 PM, it actually holds up ok - Battery is obviously nowhere near as good but it's ok, but in terms of performance it's been good, yes it is noticeably slower but it's not unusable and still quick, 60hz feels choppy now but still it's fine. But my god, 3D TOUCH that shit is so good, I look at my 14PM in disgust because it doesn't have it.
The iPhone X is still a very good phone, but it's really let down by the lack of 3GPP NR 5G connectivity and the fact the latest version of iOS compatible is iOS 16.7.7, which lack some of the features of iOS 17.x versions.
The thing is, it doesn't feel right to use a phone this old, because, at the time when iPhone 10 was released, using a 7 year old phone (iPhone 4) was unheard of, because barely anything was supported, but now, a 7 year old iPhone, which is the iPhone X is able to provide an almost identical experience to the latest iPhone 15, Just like it is shown in this video clip. It is slightly slower, but come on, would you really benefit from a 2-3 second improvement when launching apps? The main downside is the battery, but once you get that replaced, it's great and it truly shows how smartphones have peaked and there isn't that much to improve.
This phone can do wathever the iphone 15 pro can, i mean the only real difference is battery and camera, and the camera factor is only important if you are a hard content creator, but for casual photos on Instagram still working very well!
I've been thinking of getting one of these as a back up phone. I think I will. Great review and excellent nuggets of wisdom thrown in there, too.
I had a galaxy s9+ until February of this year when i got an IPhone SE for free bcus the S9+ broke
I'm upgrading to an iPhone 15 soon. Yes, yes, I know, sounds like a mistake. But, we're getting a great deal, and Apple supported my iPhone 8 until 2023, when I got it in 2019 and it released in 2017. It was great for a long time but it also kinda sucks now, so I need a new one that will last a long time. I WILL make my 15 stretch for AT LEAST 5 years like my 8, it will last until 2029. I think.
Great way to think about such an expense purchase!
This phone was my dream. Ah.
Watching this video while thinking of buying a new iPhone 15 Pro max
I still using my iphone X 4years now😊
Bought my 11 ProMax 512GB brand new in 2019. It is a beast!!!
I also have an iPhone 12 and it is an inferior phone to the 11 ProMax, the only thing that is better, which I don’t care about, is that in dark mode, black is slightly sharper and deeper.
Everywhere else it’s behind
I’m on iPhone 7 moving to iPhone XS!
i still use an iPhone Xs, love it sm
I loved my iPhone X. ❤ oh also my iPhone X did turned off when temps was too cold outside. That was normal to me 😂. I also like how slim it felt on my hands. The quality of the pics was the best! It was not laggy. I then had to upgrade to iPhone 14 Pro, and I hate it. The quality of pictures is terrible.
While true about everything you pointed here I've had my pixel 6 for few years that I bought used. But iPhone 15 pro isn't really for everyone it's too O.P for regular user. I'd go with the base model. If I was to upgrade due to my phone breaking.
