- I love this bike rack. It has replaced my Yakima hanging rack. It's perfect for a road bike bike, and of course a full suspension mountain bike rack. I was worried about the assembly, and there are many Amazon reviews complaining about it taking hours, chat boards with detailed instructions saying how complicated it is. I thought it was easy, so I wanted to make a helpful video to give some quick views how.
I had spend a frustrating hour failing at the assembly and the next day, I used the box to stabilize the trays and found the assembly fairly easy.

Just put mine together there was some confusion when I initially looked at it.
The long bolts are "through bolts" if that means anything to people means those bolts go all the way through a one end and you just use the Allen to tighten it at the other end. It would be easier if you had somebody to hold up the arms when you go to tighten it but I got it done myself.
I had Alan sockets and a cordless drill made the work much easier.
I just recently bought this awesome rack but it's a pain in the ass heavy. It's actually easy to assemble, just heavy and it's important to level all the parts to properly fit the bolts.
You should get some hand modeling gigs! lol
Hi Greg, thanks for the video. Do you have any favorite places to ride in the Bay Area? I haven't had my hitch or rack installed and I've only had the bike for a couple months. I haven't ventured outside San Jose yet but look forward to soon!
Is it supposed to be slanted downward a little bit on the rear tire platform after finished installation?
Bolts are not nuts
Assembly is NOT easy!!! This product may be good, but as is typical with most products these days, the assembly instructions and diagrams are too vague, resulting in a lot of guesswork. It took me three hours to figure it out.
It chose the black cuz I thought the orange was pretty but it also attracts people who like to mess with things. Sometimes bling attracts the criminal element.

What color is your car? Why didn’t you get the mettalic black? Since I think you have a black car? I’m thinking of getting one. I have a black Pilot and dunno what color looks the best.
Black car, grey rack. Grey is best looking by far. Looks modern and sleek.
All makes sense but you skipped completely how you lifted the entire thing to insert it into the hitch ?..

I bought one and felt like thieves could just easily undo all those bolts and just take off
