Just watched this movie at Cannes, it’s great. Just note that these people were volunteers so they obviously don’t seem like real soldiers- this trailer just gives off some ideas.
I'd like to see someone make a factual historically correct movie of The Fetterman Fight = Battle of the Hundred-in-the-Hands, but then rap it around the whole two years of Red Clouds War 1866 to 1868. A little know win for the Northern plains tribes. Similar to the way HOSTILES was done. Which BTW was an excellent flick!!
Looks really good. Kind of gives me Revenant and even Terence Malick vibes, but I can't help but feel bothered by the use of the fish eye lens, where the camera feels like it's having tunnel vision. Meaning some things are focused while other things that are in the same shot are unfocused.
I'd like to see this film, but the theater in our fine Christian community won't book it; they're demanding the title be changed to "The Shucky-Darned".
@@Thenogomogo-zo3un High possiblity. I remember a scene from the tv mini-series Son of the Morningstar where cavalry troopers drew an extra ration of salt because they were likely to be eating horse meat during their campaign.

If those U.S. Army boys (Union) actually engage Confederates waving a Confederate flag, this movie could very well be the first film set in that era that deals with the soldiers of the war since Glory. And perhaps the most realistic since 1989.
Wow, great trailer. Have a full and complete idea regarding the subject and themes of the film. It appears there are men, guns, rabbits and a covered wagon. How post-modern and ironic.

Modern military fitness and grooming standards didn't really exist back then, so they are more appropriate than you think.
I'm getting Blood Meridian vibes
and they will go out and have the famous battel of Picacho Peak in Arizona. .
Oh hell yeah! Definitely watching this.

watch the trailer for Post Tenebras Lux. that fisheye focusy thing is a style choice a lot of indie directors like now a days
the honestly looks good, I'm hoping maybe A24 or Neon pick it up for USA Distribution.

Why were the cavalry troopers marching on foot? Did their horses get stolen?
Got lame, then they shot them and ate them perhaps?

This "movie" couldn't afford horses.
Maybe they were infantry?

Uhh... Gettysburg, Gods and Generals....
Well realism has already taken a hit- the haversacks should be black not off-white. The rebs had white haversacks but not the Union army.
@user-uv8bv4dm9f Thank for observing FARBE..
@@twoheadedboypt2Gods and Generals is Confederate fan fiction . Get out of here with that stuff.
Looks fan made.
That means actual effort will be put into it. Hollywood blows.
Malick called, he wants his shtick back
Shut-up Terrence
Except it looks like re-enactors shot on an iPhone.
Exactly. "Acclaimed movie director " my ass.

Looks low budget.
nada de especial
What a terrible teaser, good grief.
Well it truly was a teaser - it just teases while giving away very little, almost nothing at all.
You must be one of those who wants the entire movie spoiled by the trailer.
