Frank Rosolino performs "Stella By Starlight" with the Bubba Kolb Trio at the Village Jazz Lounge in 1978. Bubba Kolb - piano Louise Davis - bass Harvey Lang - drums
Frank was the best trombonist. Articulate and solid improvisational, strong sound. Absolute phenom. Thanks for posting. I loved Carl, too, but Frank was so strong. Carl loved Frank and was heartbroken when Frank passed and refused to believe Frank did that deed.
Frank was the best tromboneplayer of the world. It was a pitty that the way he passed away was total different with his way of playing , that was full of life .
Genial
Rosolino is one a class
Amazing trombonist. He has never been surpassed
He flatly refused to sound like anyone else - and I’m happy with that!

Frank is drumming through the trombone.
Carl Fontana??
Spectacular performance by a musical genius, Frank Rosolino, one of my musical hers. May God grant rest to his soul.
Just magnificent playing. R.I.P. Frank.
