- Lois Nettleton's career spanned several decades. Her love was the stage, but she did numerous movies and TV appearances from the Twilight Zone to The Christmas Card, her last movie in 2006. This is just a small sample of her versified and successful career.
I'm 68 and she was always my favorite actor. Her love for acting was obvious! I really think that she should have a star in Hollywood. Very deserving of it.
This is my favorite great grandmother Lois nettleton who I love very very much 💝💝❤️💓❤️💓❤️💓❤️💓💜.
Hi. Thank you so much for putting that up. I am one of Lois's few remaining family members and seeing this made me cry. She was, above all else, a wonderful and loving person....AND one of the hardest working people I have ever known. Her life was not easy, but she was an example of honesty in creativity that I use every day in my life. Again, on behalf of myself and my family, thank you for this wonderful tribute to my aunt.
Mike Kovacs, Hi Mike. It was my pleasure to put this video together. My mom introduced me to Lois Nettleton when I was in high school and she has been my favorite actress ever since . Sadly, my mom passed away only a few months after Ms. Nettleton, so 2008 was not a good year. She also passed away from cancer. I have watched most of Ms. Nettleton's movies and TV appearances and have always been so impressed with her acting. It is interesting to see her many fans favorite movies and TV appearances on her memorial page on google. One that no one has mentioned that was one of my very favorites is a Route 66 episode called "What Would You Say if I Told You I Was the Queen of Spain? Her acting was so superb and such a memorable and interesting episode. FYI, I have most of all the DVDs of Ms. Nettleton's movies and TV appearances. The ones I don't have are not available. I will be doing another tribute highlighting some of my favorite TV appearances of your Aunt. Thanks again for your kind and warm comments.
She was so beautiful and wonderfully talented actress. Anytime I see her on anything I watch. She guest-starred in many seventies show and recently watching an episode of Cannon she is in. She seemed to work a lot!
I remember her many appearances on television. I always thought she was a terrific actress and very attractive. In fact I just saw her on an old Golden Girls episode .She is not forgotten.
One of my favorites.....her vulnerability in everything she did was breathtaking ❤️❤️❤️
@@thebuckstopshere2186 can u explain the relationships on the tombstone?
Beautiful tribute to a very beautiful person and class act. I met her shortly before her passing and found her to be very kind and generous. RIP, Lois.
Such a wonderful actress and lovely to hear that interview segment with her expressing her humility and modest need for material things and caring more for the people and the work she enjoyed. Thank you. Great tribute.
I adored Lois Nettleton. I tried to see her every time she performed in live theater. I saw Street Car Named Desire five times. There was such a gentleness about her. Her birthday is coming up she would have been 97. Thank you for putting up this tribute
Awesome tribute. I have enjoyed her acting for many years. Rest In Power!!!
I can never forget her incredible acting in the Twilight Zone. I had no idea she went to some of their conventions.
Nettleton had a bit part in "The Old Man in the Cave" TZ episode that starred James Coburn. Not sure if it was before The Midnight Sun or the actual name of the title, it was a computer that was forecasting danger after a nuclear disaster.
So happy to find this gem. I admired Ms. Nettleton throughout her career all the way to The Christmas Card
So beautiful and gracious. I love her so much! Thank you for this amazing tribute ❤ "We're spiritual beings having a human experience." Just lovely.
Who could not remember Lois Nettleton in The Twilight Zone? However, my personal favorite was Come Fly With Me. She had beauty and sweetness in her favor.
Never heard of Lois before as I’m in my 30s but I’ve just read up and viewed things from her impressive career thanks to the uploader. One day people will be watching videos like this of actors from the 2020s.
she played a Russian scientist in The Bamboo Saucer , where she was 41 but looks like in her 20's . you can tell she was the best actor in the movie .
I remember Lois Nettleton from the TV movies like Women in Chains and Terror in the Sky. She was such a dynamic actress. Miss her. Thanks for putting this tribute together.
A nice tribute for a very classy actress. I miss the quality of the old time movies and tv shows.
This is a lovely tribute to a lovely woman that is missed. RIP Ms Nettleton.
She was one of my top 5 favorite actresses. She had a unique beauty and sultry voice.
A class act. Lovely tribute.🌹🌹🌹
My favorite Lois Nettleton performance was a Then Came Bronson episode titled All the World and God. She played a nurse in a poor rural community. The doctor she worked with had just died and she has to make his rounds and tell their patients of his death. She comes to realize that these folks not only think of her as a caregiver but also a trusted friend. It’s a lovely episode that I haven’t seen in over 50 years but I remember it vividly. She was a real beauty and a wonderful actress.
Thanks for the comment tiggersboy. I tried to find the episode you referred to from Then Came Bronson, but could not find it on UA-cam or anywhere else. I will keep looking for it.
Wow, I can still remember that episode! That was my favorite show as young child, although it vanished so abrupt. She was a terrific all around actress. She honed her craft well in the 50s and 60s. She was one of the most desired guest star actresses ever
@@thebuckstopshere2186 if you do find it, please let me know as well
She was a versatile actress that I miss a great deal. My favorite was Centenial. I watched it again about a year ago and her character was very intertaining.
I had a big big crush on her when I was a teenager my 1a fave actress behind Miss O'Hara I loved her especially when she played Christina Stockwood in the Show All that Glitters absolutely gorgeous and beautiful lady Rip Miss Nettleton u made a young boy &young man very happy
This is a nicely done video in honor of a lovely actress🌹
I didn’t even know Lois Nettleton passed: I miss the great actors and actresses of the 50s and 60s.
A wonderful actress and spirit. I miss you Lois Nettleton!
Thank you for such a wonderful video
I love this actress & woman ❤️
She starred in 3 or 4 episodes of _Naked City_ and those were among the best ones IMO.
Howie 57, thanks for the comment. I did do a second video on Lois Nettleton that highlights her TV career. I did highlight one of the Naked City episodes. I agree they were all very good.
Lovely video. One of my favorite actresses fro way back when.
Recently saw her in an episode of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour called The Dark Pool. Her character is put through the ringer and she was incredible. Absolutely deserved an Emmy. Didn’t realize she was a theatre actor too, that explains a lot, they’re usually the best and most versatile actors
Lois nettleton was the prettiest woman then she ever live of joy with her good styles and have a happy and being part of smile when she always know any of good actors the way i think she always like to be part of it like with fess Parker, robert mitchum, ed answer james coburn, pernall roberts, and dennis weaver, in most of the movies which they were part of loving each and the only part of youre life is miss those guys in the past and putting on some country songs on those old actress and actor to be only part with our tears of joy
Excuse it's Ed asner not Ed answer ! Lol
Nice tribute. I will always remember her in Seinfeld.
I remember Lois Nettleton starring in Women in Chains. I really like her in most of her roles.
Lois Nettleton was a charming and talented character actress that shined in about everything she did. Her real love was the stage and I only wish I could have gone to one of them when I had the chance. Unfortunately, some of her work is not available anywhere. Example, I have tried to find the full TV movie The Forgotten Man with Dennis Weaver.
I could not find The Forgotten Man either and I looked high and low for it. There is a youtube video that shows part of the movie.
Miss Nettelton had a classic beauty and very versatile. Not at all surprised she was Miss Chicago.
Yep, 1948.
Nicely done, lots of stuff here I did not know about L.N.
Touching tribute.. I’m a fan of In the Heat of the Night and remember when they added her character to the series.
Bravo. Loved your video Bucko!!!!!!!!!!!
An absolutely beautiful woman
A very fitting song selection especially considering what is inscribed on the family tombstone. Must have been her favorite song. I also prefer the Andy Williams version.
She was also in the 2006 movie: *The Christmas Card"
Centennial was a very well done mini-series back in the 1970’s. I totally forgot Lois Nettleton was in the show. Hope I can catch it on UA-cam or Netflix.
Thanks for posting this quality video. So much of the older tributes are poor quality. Curious where you found these clips or are they from videos you own. In any event I loved going down memory lane with this sexy actress of my younger years. I did not even know she passed away.
Just finished watching Lois Nettleton in one of the most classic Twilight Zone episodes: The MIdnight Sun. As a blonde she reminds me of combination of Barbara Eden and Joanne Woodward. This is a sweet tribute for such a sweet actress. By the way: there is absolutely no evidence anywhere that indicates her political leanings. Her role as a lesbian in the Golden Girls is called acting.
Hi Eliza Dolittle. Just wanted to let you know that there is material on Lois Nettleton that states she was a liberal democrat. I did not put that in my video just because she played a lesbian in two TV series. During the 1960's and 1970's, there were many actors that described themselves as liberal democrats.
Great actress and beautiful woman
Encantadora actriz, participó en varios capítulos de mi serie preferida: “El Fugitivo” junto al gran David Janssen.
She was my favorite relative.
Fly By Me was a good old fashion romantic movie and Lois Nettleton stole the show.
She's beautiful.
i believe that she was on three episodes of The Fugitive in the 60s. Talented and beautiful. Bummer that she was a smoker.
I remember Lois Nettleton in Terror in the Sky with Doug McClure. I was in high school and that show scared the hell out of me. She played the only stewardess on that faitful plane landing after the pilot and co-pilot were poisoned from eating the chicken.
I remember that movie. The Doug McClure character was in the military (Vietnam?) and his only experience was flying helicopters. He brought the plane down safely, as I recall.
She played my daughter Linda in washington behind closed doors and she played as my granddaughters maude wendell and as rosie in my film 🎥🎥🎥🎥🎥 the Christmas card ♦️♠️♦️♠️♦️♠️.
This lady I have seen only on Gunsmoke "Nina's Revenge" She was a good LOOKING WOMAN for those days especially. She just had a movie star look about her...Hard to think her life on earth is over and she is gone to the next world. A lovely woman
It's funny you should mention Nina's Revenge as that was my favorite TV performance of Lois Nettleton. I found out much later that Ron Foster who played Jim Garza, the man she falls in love with, lived and died in the town I live in (Placerville, CA).
Where u been Buck? Glad to see you back!
On a long break.
Lois Nettleton was also a talented comic actress. Ever seen her in Dirty Dingus McGee?
Jason Trimble yep and she was so funny.
She was very good 🙂☺️🙂🙂☺️☺️🙂🙂☺️☺️🙂🙂🙂.
what about the Route 66 episodes? They were all great.
I did do a second video on Lois Nettelton that concentrates on her TV career. Included is one of the Route 66 episodes: What If I Told You I Was the Queen of Spain?
Talent, looks and sex appeal!!!!!
And very beautiful 😍💕💕😍💕💕😍💕💕😍💕💕😍💕💕😍💕💕.
Hot damn, what a foxy gal.
cool
I did a quick calculation and she was 44 when she was on The Dating Game.
she had a runner's physique, much going on upstairs and was a leftie, so much sheer goodness there!
Ms. Nettelton was on a lot of weekly T.V. shows but never starred in any of them.
I think she did a Little "House on the Prairie" too.
Bryce Dallas Howard physically resembles her greatly
Just curious, what makes you say that?
she was a "natural" knockout with a personality to match which is more than i can say for the poster who felt the need to mention her political stance smh.........
She was in a Seinfeld episode if I'm remembering correctly.
Yes she was. The episode was called The Gymnast and she played Mrs. Enright, George's prospective future mother-in-law.
@@thebuckstopshere2186 Yes. She caught George in the kitchen eating a pastry he pulled out of the trash bin. Funny episode.
@@jamesanthony5681 Yes, that was such a memorable scene. One of my all time favorites TV shows!!!
@@thebuckstopshere2186 can I sub to your channel?
@@chairlesnicol672 Thanks for asking, but I am not doing youtube videos anymore. Just did a few for the fun of it.
Lois Nettleton was smoking hot
In fact, she was a smoker.
No surprises that she was a liberal Democrat after all you're really not allowed to be a conservative or Republican and be in Show Business without being ostracized
How on earth did this actress not get more acclaim far far better than the vastly overrated Liz Taylor
Even a priest couldn't say no to her
She also dated Frank Sinatra.
Her father was 6 ?
That's her step father, Alfred Pestone.
One of my favorite actresses, but sorry to find out she was a liberal, that makes her unhinged.
