I love this interview Gio, very informative! I got B1 B2 visa coming here, I never expect my husband propose to me on my stay and we got married after my 95 days stays. Our lawyer waived my visa and start applying may ajustment of status before my end of stay .It is really important to have an immigration lawyer(a good Immigration lawyer).I got my green card after 4 months after we apply for my AOS.and now I got my 10 years gc for my 3 years of stay.I am 3 years in the US , working for 2 years here, I am well adjusted the flow of living here but not being Americanized. I love ken's Idea of explaining about Filipina, he is absolutely right!thanks for saying "filipina is the most loyal" Merry Christmas and happy new year!

I hope to some day bring my gf here to Maryland. It sucks not being able to see her. This summer will be 2 years since we've seen each other. I went there. And I plan on going back this summer if allowed, bc of covid 19 travel restrictions.

Question on the petition.....what if you the petitioner had a DWI 20-30 years ago...they ask about it on the form. What if you cannot find or get the paperwork, even if the charge was reduced to a moving violation. What are you supposed to do? report it or not? Thanks

Usually the rich and old get approved for a US tourist visa. If you are a single male / female in the Philippines here is how it goes. You pay your $160 and then go to Manila to get denied after your interview. I suspect the CO who does the interview has already decided your case before the actual interview.

My girlfriend just got denied her second time for a tourist visa. We worked so hard getting the deed to her land and building our case for strong ties. The immigration officer even suggested she try for a k1 visa. That’s ridiculous. They expect me to marry her to to bring her here for a short visit and meet my family. Plus she is going through an annulment and I can’t do the k1 if I wanted to.

Years ago we tried to bring my MIL to visit us. She was turned down because she did not have enough assets in the Philippines to keep her tied there. Thats a poor excuse since its so easy to sell them or leave them to your children.
We later applied for her to immigrate. Basically the same paperwork and similar leadtime/fees. She was accepted right away. She only wanted to come for a visit and thats all she did. 9 month visit. That’s one way if you want a parent to come. Siblings are no way as easy.

even in Australia harder to get tourist Visa you have to show support for you girlfriend long-term financial support with evidence you have to show you have met her and know her well, she has to show she returning to the Philippines to either return to university or start a pre paid course, if you put money in her bank with no history forget , but if you are approved she can stay for periods of months and subsequent visits can be up to 12 months probably slightly easier than USA

Yes K1 fiance visa if you co-signed you are responsible for 10 years unless that person got their US citizenship or work 10 years for credits with Social Security. Many people don’t want to believed this 10 yrs. I do because my husband did it once and I still bitch at him about it. It took my ex-sil 12/13 year to get her citizenship. She still doesn’t speak or read basic English. She could have better herself but No... I almost want to tell her do something so my husband responsiblity is over.

A BUNCH od great advice here, Gio! (except you were asking A lawyer about IF you need a lawyer...?) Generally, you don't want to ask a LAWYER that question! LOL
I'm hoping that he may address men who have married a Filipina IN the Philippines, and who LIVE in the Philippines - and who want to take their wives to the States - JUST TO DO a 60 or 90-day ROADTRIP. (Then, they would return to the Philippines to live.) That's what I want to know. Can I take a Filipina wife (if I have $1,000,000. in the bank) to the USA for a Vacation?
    Without an anal probe.(?)

Took her 12/13 yrs to become US citizen and most people can get it done within 5/6 years. I told my husband this 2nd time you are not going to help. If you do go married her just as it was you who help the most to paid for their divorce. I just want to yelled and say all kind of things to this bil.

A question for Ken. When satisfying the requirement of spending two or three weeks with your Filipina, prior to applying for the fiancee visa, would it be possible to meet your Filipina in another country to satisfy this requirement? My Filipina and I were thinking of spending a few weeks together in Mexico when things open back up. It is extremely difficult for me to fly, especially long flights like to the Philippines.

I plan to either fly there to see her while she's there or have her fly here to Missouri after her time in guam, 8 days, to visit me. Will that mess up anything later when we want to get a fiance or spousal visa? I have her embassy appointment May 5th, she's a Filipina living in the United Arab Emirates. A lawyer can't do anything for a tourist visa. The applicant applies and is approved on the own merit. The petitioner has to be legally in the country where she applies. Pay the $160 fill out DS160 on line and attend interview. As a rule it pretty hard for a young person from Philippines to get approved. My wife sister was working in Singapore and applied for US tourist visa in Singapore. She had excellent travel history, had a full time job and was denied.

    • @keithwalter1857
      @keithwalter1857 3 роки тому

There is a good chance that that will work from that country. My ex-girlfriend was an 0FW in Dubai, she applied for a USA tourist visa and was approved. The key is the sponsor cannot be you, it is best if it is a relative currently living here in the USA. And if she does apply it’s important that she doesn’t mention you in the interview.

Back in the '60s and '70s millions came over to the USA on tourist visas and never returned.
Eventually most of the Filipinos would have left for the opportunities their own country won't give them. Imagine a country with no poor people left in it to take care of the rich.
They would leave for the same reasons our Mexican borders are packed with refugees.

It’s not hard people don’t want to do the work. I am a mom who help few get their tourism/visitor visa, K1 fiance visa and work visa all for $160 vs hiring a lawyer. I tell people the lawyer only does your paperworks. It’s the interview and Embassy that make decision. Don’t go wasted money hiring one. Denied this year tried again next year. I also have a daughter who study abroad and got to do her visa. If you can do online mame sure to print 2 copy write your login information. With my daughter she had to take all her paperworks and check $160 to Spanish Consulate. Two package one in English and Spanish done from her school.

Having family in the US is a major negative for a young filipina trying to get a tourist visa to the US. Much like the system assume you intend to commit immigration fraud, they assume that the filipina will not abide by the limitations of the tourist visa. The poorer the filipina the less likely they are to get approved. We are working to try and get a relative for my wife and have been denied each time. Each subsequent denial is another negative mark against the request.

    • @mikejones5364

There is no such thing as sponsorship for a tourist visa, the applicant must mee the criteria on their own, and the most important one is that they will return to their country. You can pay the fees, pay for their trip to Manila and hotel and food, but as far as a immigration sponsor for a tourist visa, that doesn't exist for US tourist visa.

@@GiointhePhilippines I had spoken to (3) Attorneys from Negros Oriental in Dumaguete regarding annulments. The primary one who offered me an opportunity to achieve a (90) day money back guaranteed annulment through a Judge located in Mindanao. This attorney is very well known throughout Dumaguete and one who represented me in a rather large and lucrative local business transaction for a couple of years before I decided to leave last November (2019). This quick annulment cost was P350,000, which currently with the dollar being down tied in with the current Philippine Pesos exchange rate, this amount would be roughly $7350., US dollars. I still can do this but as we know many things can go wrong in an illegal proposition such as this due to it being entangled with bribes between one attorney, one judge and an official Philippine politician in Manila.

Would a B-2 Tourist VISA not help achieve the first tier of meeting in person for a K-1 Fiancé VISA later on? Just for the sake of convenience we were considering having her visit me here for a period of time & then going back before applying for our K-1 Fiancé VISA. If she visited me here, we would be able to spend more time together than if I tried to arrange a vacation to meet her in the Philippines. I'd maybe be able to get away for a week or two...if she visited me here, she could stay for a much longer period of time but within the length of the VISA .

@@GiointhePhilippines Thanks Gio. As a single dad it’s hard to coordinate juggling kids’ school & my work schedules. Of course none of it matters for us as the US embassy isn’t processing Tourist VISAs for Filipinas as of yet & all we were able to get for her is a Philippines VISA before the governments decided to shut everything down. We’ve been exploring meeting in a third country but the costs involved & my limited schedule makes it hard to justify spending that much money for what would likely only be up to a week. Even more so when you consider that a lot of the third countries we’ve looked into so far also require two week quarantines in their selected hotels & most wouldn’t allow us to stay together during the quarantine.

Thanks for the video. My filipina gf and I were told, at 1st to try n get a tourist visa with me being the sponsor. Then I was told, that rarely works. I have been told by many people, it will almost be impossible for her to get a tourist visa because she does not have a lot of money. She has a college degree in accounting but just started up her own clothing business. So, she definitely does not have a lot of money. I was told, rich people get tourist visas in the Philippines to come to america. I was told, fiancee visa is the only way and that could take up to 2+ years. If you pay a lot for a lawyer it will happen faster. And with covid-19 happening, I can't even go there to see her.. ugh... I would love to have her visit me. And I hope I can go this summer to visit her again. It will be 2 years since I've seen her. Any suggestions on what to do? Marriage is definitely something that could happen in the future. If the Philippine government accepted more US contracts they would see the same prosperity China saw in 10 years. Maybe our future manufacturing contracts will be considered by the Philippines since we will not be dealing with China much anymore. Some Asian country has to pick up the slack to fill our Walmarts and Dollar generals. A great opportunity for the Philippines to take them out of poverty.
Then tourist visas would be granted freely to the USA.
