- I paddled out with the Boost electric surfboard fin to see if it actually works.
I brought Chris Wells along to get another perspective. Thanks to @boostsurfi for sending me one to try and also @ho stevie for the warm wetsuit.

My man! I keep getting ads for this. THANK YOU for making a video on it hahah 😅
Hahahahaha. Thanks for keeping me warm!
Haha I was actually out that day when you guys were filming this!!! I will say there were quite a few that day that I narrowly missed catching, interesting little gadget - thanks for the review!
Ironically, I’ve also taken a couple lessons from Sabinka…the lady you chatted with at the end.
Stoked!
ZAPOT Crew for life.
It looks like the fin would have some drag ( although that would be a reasonable trade off for someone who may have physical challenges)
Or stuck in a rip current
Seriously crazy your show casing the boost fin. An older dude has one in the lineup today. He told me it's the only way he could catch waves. Totally cool
Thank God a reputable source reviewing this thing-🤙
Everything goes nowadays so why not, as long as you are stoked.
Love that attitude! It was fun and my neck doesn't hurt... bonus.
Glad it can help you get out more with your neck issues. Like that you are doing all kinds of different content Brad.
I appreciate the feedback. Trying to cover a bit more.
this be good on same breaks in hawaii...long paddle outs there.....good for palos verdes too...
I really really want to know can the boost fin be retro fitted to a foil board????? Please consider taking up this quest for us poor non e foilers
I believe it does but I'll check with them.
This looks interesting to me iI can definitely see where it would be useful to someone like me. I had to quit surfing about 20 years ago do to getting a pacemaker that actually beats my heart for me so i am unable to do strenuous work outs because my pacemaker is set at a fixed heart rate that onlky adjusts from heel strike when walking. i just worry about the battery life.
Did you turn the motor off WHILE you were on the wave ? Or was the motor still on as you were riding the wave?
That is definitely a kook fin. You could surf a SUP?
Cool as hell....i love new toys.
Me too!
Adds 2.5 kg to the board ok in 1 foot catch 3 foot plus and the drag spoils the ride ...I had one
What's weird is that even when this comes out, aholes are going to still yell at you for wearing paddle gloves.
I don't mess with this. I see what people are saying but I feel like it adds a paywall to catching waves. Also I know they talked about older folks using it but this could easily be abused by the the middle aged guy who just wants more waves
Dude, the wavejet has been around for a decade.
True don’t know why they didn’t give him one sooner
I'm 67. When I can't manage to paddle any more, I'll do something else. If you can't paddle don't surf!
Completely disagree. I’m a grand dad with bad knees and shoulders. I bought an e-bike and now ride the trails with my kids and grand kids. Likewise, I bought a boost fin and now surf with my kids and grand kids again because the boost is enough to catch waves and allow me to stand again. I guess when you are in my condition you can sit there and waste away. I’ll use whatever “ crutch” works to keep going and stay in the game!
MTB was the same, e-bikes were considered a cheat, now every one wants one. More riding less climbing.
So lame! Yeah....kook fin for sure.
but it could help paddling out to the breaks.....im tired by the time i get to the lineup...haha
This is better for shortboards
Definitely a fin for Kooks, pure garbage!
