I'm a rec player using the Viper Courts for about a year. I didn't want to spend $150+ for shoes I would be wearing once a week. I also have a wider foot limiting my options to buy sale shoes. I was able to pick up the Viper Courts at about $60 with sales and codes. These shoes are incredible to play in and I am excited to try the Pros in comparison (if I can find them in stores.) The comfort fit is perfect for me, who needs a wider fit but not necessarily a true wide. I really like how the arch support is removable to allow an option to sub in your own. With the arch supports in, the shoe starts off feeling cushy like a lot of sketchers but as you play they feel like they mold to your foot. I have never gotten a blister with them. The toe box feels solid and stable making it easy to be in ready-position and move forward, and the ankle is generously padded but the backing feels solid. The mids are very light. Overall, the shoe is surprisingly light but stable. I haven't had any durability issues, but i only play once a week for about 2 hours. It was annoying that I could not find a retail store that sold them so i had to buy them online blind but hopefully that will change. Even though a "pickleball" shoe is considered hyper-niche, they can be easily worn (marketed) as a lightweight daily rec shoe. I'm kind of blown away by the work Sketchers put into these.

Any update on when the slides will be available?, I’ve been in need of a pair and once I saw these it was love at first sight. Couldn’t be happier for you man! Good informative Podcast on the sketchers. But I can wear out a high end tennis shoe in three months playing pickleball. That is why I only buy a tennis shoes with a six month outsole warranty. At the moment I have been buying Babalot propulse fury all court shoes cause they have been on sale and you get good value for your money with the warranty,. they are comfortable for me and require no brake in. So when sketchers decides to offer a six month outsole warranty or sponsor me with free shoes I won't be buying any. But they look good and I am glad to see them putting effort into the pickleball community.
