Hardly somebody can compete with German industry around the world, why Poland would be any different? It is better to be united and collaborate rather than compete with own neighbour. 2) Poland has a number of own brands and companies, I know one called KGHM that actually bought shares in most mines in Australia. Not bragging about their companies as most are local for Central Europe, however the foreign investment comes to Poland due to resources, skilled labour and infrastructure. Whoever in Australia see badge "Made in Poland" thinks about good quality, comaprable to German or French. You cannot compare Mexico that has the US and whole South America with its 130-140 mln population with 38.5mln Poles. It is like saying that China is doing something wrong for being global leader in manufacturing and having no internationally recognised brands - you may be right, but what are worth brands without chinese manufacturing? 3) Yes, patriotism in Poland is alive and 1-2 mln people who left the country since accession to the EU does not make much difference. There are even jokes about German backpackers coming to Oz to find husbands. I do not find it any different than other nations do and you still compare some Polish immigrants in UK, not Polish women in Poland. You also mix things, historically and geographically Poland is Central Europe and always have been, they have nothing in common with Eastern Europe as bolsheviks and soviets tried to persuade for 50 years. You talk more about countries such Russia or Ukraine where local non-immigrant women are likely to get married with on-line met, old sugar daddies and they not only dump boyfriends, but husbands with kids because most of Eastern non-EU men cannot support their own families. I would say that only lowest low of the society in Poland would do such thing, but it would be something that you can find in America, Canada, Australia or your beloved Germany as well. Stay positive, support Poland and help fellow Polish people to become strong instead of supporting old WW2 powers. It is the time for Poland to become world power.

@Dela Flowers I am 20 and very interested in history! I guess that's why this video appeared in my recommendations😁 Poland is almost an industrialized country today. However in Silesia (south) of Poland there are still large country areas, with just little villages that still look like 1950s. I saw a little monastery town where my Grandma was baptised!! My family and I visited the Church! It was apparebtly unchanged from 1940s but in very good condition! Amazing to see so many young people there in a monastery school. Poland, a country with several large cities, was largely rural/agricultural in the 20th century. In 1939, at the onset of WWII, city life for most Poles was one of no indoor plumbing, no electricity, no telephones. Cooking and heating provided by coal. Water obtained and carried home from a communal street water pump. Back of residential buildings had courtyards used as gathering places for adults and playgrounds for children. As well as serving as the location for community outhouses. Poland, well into the 20th century was unable to embrace the modern era.

Thanks to Roosevelt Poland was delivered under Stalin's yoke. But if not for the Polish nobility - Kosciusko and more importantly Kazimierz Pulaski - there would be no America we know today.
Let's not forget about first Poles on American land, who were the first foreigners who fought for rights of future Americans in 1619.

In WW2 Poland was betrayed and abused by the western powers. They held long speeches, but eventually the Poles had to wait for Stalin's soldiers to get liberated from the Nazis. There was nobody else to do it. History is not Black and White but a complicated prodedure of causalities. The new Poland is a compromise with Gierek and Gomulka making a first start after total destruction. If today's Polish propagandists like it or not !
The USA created modern Poland after the first world War.
Love from New Delhi (India)💐💐.
Poland did not give up the land in the East or took any land from Germany, it was the allies who betrayed Poland and they agreed the borders with Stalin.
Is that right?
Wasn't it just the Soviet Union thought or did US agree for all intents and purposes?
@Dela Flowers have you been there again?

@Dela Flowers I am 20 and very interested in history!
I guess that's why this video appeared in my recommendations😁
Poland is almost an industrialized country today.
I saw young students drilled in military uniforms in the backyard of this little town.
Fascinating.
Obviously the rural areas have preserved some of their traditionalist ways.
It is pure country land !
Krakow for example is ofc very diffefent

Lata pięćdziesiąte a właściwie czasy Gomułki tzw. mała stabilizacja to początek jakichś tam przemian, migracji ludności, budowy przemysłu, zmian w kulturze i sztuce, wzornictwie, w polityce społecznej, budowa mieszkań, to też początek konsumpcjonizmu.

I wouldn’t call it rich but certainly it wasn’t poor. It was behind the west but it was ahead of the east. Even after ww2 when most of the country was destroyed Poland produced 4 times the food that was necessary to feed the country. It was never poor. We can only hope that we won't see another war in Europe.
It should be noted that Poland sent coal to the USSR for free! It was not export but stealing
Poland, one day my fatherland will come back to the game... If we did it once, it means we can do this one more time.
But be careful ! Poland disappeared from the map of Europe several times, and this may happen again.
@@henryseidel5469 With polish political class it's possible, but when I see global stupidity even whole Europe may disapear from the map, from the world ruler, to some village full of retard. And to be precise Poland disappeared once, but many empires gone, many idiots died chasing some illusion, we will see... the game is open.

The title is deeply misleading the viewers. The film was shot sometimes in the end of 50s and begining of the 60s.. I was happy to see Poland from the 40s and it was disappointing..
Poles complaining 😅
Propaganda movie where the
farmers wear snow white dresses to work on a field.
It is rediculious.
On another hand if it was not for a propaganda movies we would not have any documents showing a farmer life at this time even if it is distorted.
Niesamowite jak Polska zmieniła się, za 10 lat nie wyobrażam sobie co będzie.
kiedys tak bylo , fakt .
18th-21st century has been a long streak of tragedy after tragedy. we are barely anything.
It must have been shot after dissolution of collective farms in 1956.
KeyboardWarrior No. There were a lot of small farmers in Poland before and after 1956: especially in south eastern Poland.
@@thomasmazur5787 In 1948 the Communist puuppets of Moscow decided that6 the whole Polish agriculture was to be nationalized Soviet-way. If there was a surviving small-holder it was only because he/she had not been collectivized yet. These footage is from Mazovia where collectivization was quite severe.
@@CrazyLeiFeng but mostly due to Gomulka's resistance, who saw first hand results of total collectivizations, it was never that total in Poland. Than it rescued us, now is detriment.

Let's not forget it's a propaganda piece, even if done unwittingly. Communist party would never allow the filmmakers to shoot anything that could put the regime in bad light. Just like in modern N. Korea, where political officers carefully guide foreigners, making sure they won't see anything not approved for foreigners' eyes.
As one of older Polish commenters said here: "sausage for breakfast, what a laugh, sausage was for Christmas". ;)

Tallonest have you been in Poland lately or at all? The country has it’s problems. Being traditionalist it’s not nessesary bad for some people. What Mark probably meant was that the country has progressed a lot since then
@@agnieszka1461 Agnieszka, I was making fun of modern progressive idealogy, not Poland. A lot of the progressives think they're moving a country forward by doing away with all tradition, when in fact they are going backwards. Instead of focusing on scientific achievement, education, and improving society, now it's important to have massive protests to include transgender bathrooms. I love Poland, my parents are from there, I lived there when I was very small and most of my family is still there whom I visit when I can. Kocham Polske.
