what you described about wicked and it's songs when having a conversation is how musicals work: you have such a strong emotion that speaking is not enough so you sing, then singing is not enough so you dance. that's why they feel so powerful (and then you sob watching them lol)
I'm so glad the movie is helping more people understand why Wicked has had a chokehold on theater kids for so long lol. I knew the music from the time I was in elementary school and saw it on broadway in NY the first time in high school, and it was quite literally Life Changing, just like you said. it's also on tour right now! I think it's supposed to go to LA or San Diego next so if you can't wait a whole year you should check for tickets! Maybe seeing a show in person, of a movie you already know you like, could be a way to see if you want to try other musicals too! Love this cute setup so much too, obsessed with the chairs.
Running a little eppys behind, but love the way u guys are so honest to the point that when one of u asks if the other one is comfy enough to talk or say something the response is “yeah, they are pp’s” and that’s something u can find on any of this episodes
This episode is delightful! I'm continuously amazed at how happy I feel listening to you guys chit chat, when I'm not typically a podcast girly. We don't truly know each other but you really have made a tight community and it feels so cozy. Also I can't stop thinking about baby names for you guys hahaha 🥰😅
🎉 Happy Birthday, cliPPy! 🎂🎈 Your editing skills and hilarious memes always make everything 10x better! Thanks for all the laughs and creative magic you bring to the table. Hope your day was as awesome as your work! 🥳💖 #BirthdayQueen
following along with your IVF journey has been so helpful during our own highs and lows TTC. my wife and I are currently in PGT waiting hell. We were able to send off 3 little embabies this round. so just here to say thank you.
My wife and I have a 27 month old who was conceived via IVF. We did not do that extra test you’re talking about. They did do a saline sonogram to check out her uterus to look for polyps and make sure everything in there looked good. I think that extra step is more for people who have a history of failed transfers/pregnancies. Whatever you choose, I hope everything continues to go well. Currently waiting on our PGT test for my 9 embryos this time for baby #2 🤞🏼it’s been neat to go through this and follow along with your journey.❤
thank you so much for sharing your experience!! i did a hysteroscopy earlier (similar to the saline sonogram). such a confusing process with so many decisions to make we are just exhausted. sending you so many good vibes for your PGT tests! 9 embroys is incredible! 🤍🤍🤍
“No one mourns the wicked: goodness knows wicked lives are lonely and goodness knows the wicked die alone” in this thesis…. Pay attention that Glinda is singing this in the beginning (which is present day before flash back to Elphaba, shiz, the wizard, etc)
You guys should buy ornaments at the thrift store this year! Like a bag of mismatched ones that have random kids names on them and photos of family dogs etc. etc. etc.
Some cheap ornaments I’ve made before are those paper garlands people usually make in kindergarten, just need colorful paper and a stapler. Or you can roast orange slices and string them!!
I was watching this during my lunch break and fell asleep and I wake up to you guys talking about who would have a little goblin I was like wait a minute! 😅
We didn’t do any additional shots or testing beyond PGT. 1st try was successful, 2nd unsuccessful (didn’t take) and 3rd successful! Two healthy baby boys!! (Allllll of our embryos were boys 🤣)
@stayinguppod💯 we were destined to be boy moms and not at all mad about it!! We are both tomboy/chapstick lesbians. 😅 I feel like we would have been in for a massive learning curve with a little girl😵💫😂 makeup? Dresses? WHERE is the girl’s/woman’s department?! Haven’t seen that section of a store in ages 😮💨
I wouldn’t waste time or money on an ERA unless you have at least one failed FET. We did IVF and during all of my researching and talking with other IVF moms, it’s super uncommon to do an ERA right out of the gate. I also wouldn’t put too much weight on the embryo grades. Our lowest graded embryo is the one that ended up sticking.
thank you for your input!! it also seems like the ERA might not be super helpful pre transfer failure bc the test is based on all ppl who have had at least 1 failure. im leaning towards not doing it but just don't want to have any regrets.
For someone whose a little older and has a few rounds of IUI not work, going into IVF to he mock trial was never even offered. With that being said I have a beautiful 13week baby boy sleeping next to me in his bassinet right now!
i think a hotline to call in would be so much fun, maybe you guys could do a live episode? i think a lot of people would tune in and you could have members-only stuff on youtube too!
I’ve never liked musicals either until I saw in the heights which coincidentally I got introduced to by Ariana back in the day when she sang 96,000 on her old UA-cam channel 😂 so I fear I’ll have the same reaction to Wicked as Cam
we have discussed this a few times on the pod but basically we want one of each. we both grew up with older brothers. we want to use tars embryo first and she wants the boy from her embryo and i (cam) wanted to have a girl from mine. and our intuitive reader told us we would have a boy first haha so it just sort of worked out that way. it's hard with this process because you are able to think about so many decisions you start to make them but so much is up in the air it's hard once you get one plan in your head to then go back.
I'm the oldest. I think I took good care of my brother lol but I guess I understand what you are saying. I don't believe in tarrot cards or astrology though. Either way, I can't wait for you to be moms. I will cry so much. Been watching your stuff (Cammies) since 2016.@@stayinguppod
Since you asked, I think it could use some action words in color. Bright, Vivid, flamboyant and electric. I so enjoy your broadcast vids on UA-cam,🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
@ The action words are Bright, Vivid, flamboyant and electric. To me, these words represent a set that is colorful, but not overwhelming, exciting but not distracting and memorable but not overstimulating. Get it?
BABYGIRL NAME: Quincy (Quinn) Sutton, Lennon gender neutral, edgy, strong but still cute for a girl. Also Quinn, Lennon and Sutton have the ending sound of Taryn and Camden orrrr Quincy and Cammie. 💓 They all mesh well 🥰
It’s totally a personal choice and whatever you choose will be what’s perfect for your journey but if it was me, have gone through a lot of IVF lol I would do the mock trial…but I always like more information and either way I’m sure you will have success. Also I have fertility issues, so if you don’t it might not be worth it…
Cammie the things you described liking about Wicked make me think you’d like Stephen Sondheim’s work, a good starting point is Into The Woods (pro shot of original broadway cast ua-cam.com/video/kqCsQCsinK4/v-deo.htmlsi=-8pj_hIdLAcfWU-L and then this next video is a great analysis of the music ua-cam.com/video/9b6OEjF4s1M/v-deo.htmlsi=L9DQ9EEvGt55RSw5) The type of musical you seem to prefer are called Book Musicals (as opposed to sung-thru)
Taryn, your baby girl would be stunning, just like you are. Don’t take trends eg massive lips for what beauty is, those come and go. It breaks my heart if that’s really one of the reasons you want to use a male embryo. They also might turn out to be trans so it’s not a guarantee you’ll end up with a boy 😅
I thought every gay person knew about wicked. Lol And who doesn't love kristin chenoweth?? She's my height lol Love the set up by the way. The Chairs are so cute.
I like Cammie’s approach here…it makes me sad that Taryn is being a bit shallow about “being in charge of making a girl”. Cmon..you’re gonna love your girl regardless of what they look like. “Goblin”? Cmon. And second off, your wife obviously likes the way you look and will love your kid all the same. It’s so special you guys are healthy and have the means to share in the process of bringing life into the world together. Just feels a bit immature in my opinion but I know this is high stakes high emotional stuff.
If you’re getting into musicals, Hamilton and In the Heights may be right up your alley even if you think you wouldn’t like them. The stories are really clear in them.
“ We have no money” 5 minutes later “ we should go out to dinner” is a DAILY struggle in this house too 😭🤣
it's like wwe forget that going out to dinner costs more money...oops. -c

... . ... ......... did hamilton write this? -t

OK OBSESSED. -t
Advice to the pp was solid!! Please let’s break the uhaul stereotype and hype up the slow burn. We’re in our healing ✨ era ladies 💕
“They should have been louder!” YESSSSS!! We’ve seen it twice on Broadway and going again in January! It’s really magical!
it's coming to our parts soon.. think we gotta go. -t
25:10 that’s honestly terrible and so sad to say
just sharing unfiltered thoughts around these parts. -t
@@stayinguppodi know! still terrible and sad

I like the last set up best 🤍
sadly we don't want to film in our bedroom or living room because we want to be able to leave our equipment out to make recording easier
