Seriously, I’ve been a huge fan of Godsmack ever since I was a kiddo. Hilariously I was listening to them way back when I was in Elementary school. I’d get home about 10 to 15 minutes before mom would get home from her babysitting job, then I’d turn the tv on MTV (or MTV2 ?) and watch metal countdowns until she got in the house. And ironically Godsmack was on the metal countdown. Great band.
It's powerful to watch. Maybe one, two or five of those kids that got to participate in this with like you said a legendary rock band just might go on to form the next big rock band and because Godsmack took time out of their schedule to pay it forward so will they ensuring rock never dies.
This must've been like for them if I showed up to a morning assembly in the gym to see Vince Neil up on stage saying those words to me; and getting a master class on drums from Tommy Lee. Man that would've been awesome.
Last concert before the coof hit was godsmack.

Saw Godsmack a few years back and they still kick SO MUCH ASS! Huge props to them for doing this....just amazing! Can't recommend them in concert anymore....WoW!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GODSMACK!, They are a great bunch of guys. I've always enjoyed their music. It's amazing to see they inspiring another generation. Sully isn't that old, 😆 He's 53. And his voice sounds exactly the same! 💕🙏🇺🇸

We're getting old buddy, I loved this band in high school early 2000s and now that I'm a dad it's so cool to be on the other side of it and it's even better

My favourite band along with Tool. But godsmack (u💙nder your scars)is AMAZING.
The supposed backstory to the band name was something about how one day during pre-debut rehearsal, one of the guys went into practice with a cold sore on his lip and that day the rest of the band were apparently poking fun at him the whole day, then come the very next day, the vocalist - Mr. Sully Erna - had a cold sore on his lip in the same spot, so the story goes that when the band saw the cold sore on Mr. Erna’s lip, one of the guys in the band supposedly said something like “ya see, that’s God smacking you for making fun of me yesterday”. 🤣 I could be wrong but it’s the story I always heard growing up.
