I love these videos. I love hearing stories from people who can be themselves in an environment where face-to-face interviews would be uncomfortable. VR Chat is a wonderful tool for things like this.
This was genuinely scary. It blows my mind how some kids experience something like that and just roll over and go back to sleep. When I was little, I'd freaked out if I woke up in the middle of the night and there was a power outage. You'd best believe I'd scream the house down if a person broke in.
Probably different kids having different responses, fight vs. flight vs. freeze. This guy froze up, I used to do the same thing if I got scared at night as a kid and would hide under the covers for hours until I fell asleep from exhaustion. I only did flight a few times, like when I heard scratching at the side of the house at night (turned out to be a rabbit) and would go to my mother's room.
I love this guy. Has great memory and perceptive to every detail and the fact that he didn’t want to get caught for reading in bed I was that kid too!! I think those two guys were probably druggies/junkies because they were going into bathroom which makes me think the only thing precious in bathrooms are medicine even prescription. Sounds like from the northern area because in Texas we don’t have basements because of our soil here and there is shifting with the foundation. Glad you’re ok man and Childhood trauma was avoided. @@StorseIf you live in the same house long enough you can also figure out who doesn't care about making a ton of noise and who does, for example my brother will got to the kitchen to get food late at night and make the same amount of noise you would in the middle of the day when nobodies sleeping, we also live in a small house so sound travels through like the whole house

reminds me of the time I was a kid and I was in bed looking out the open door to my room and into the hall which had the light on and saw a silohette or shadow like figure standing there in like a trench coat and a fedora type hat. Definitely was a creepy experience especially since both my parents were asleep in their room at the end of the hall and the figure looked nothing like them.
same dude apparently i talked to the guy on the ceiling and he asked me if i wanted to see heaven alot and would talk about death you got a visit from the hat man same as me my mom and my sister.

Kidnap kid, get a payday through extortion. Cons? We get the kid there's a nationwide manhunt for him, parents immediately go to the police and we cannot get any money without us getting immediately caught. We can't let the kid go if he saw our faces, recognizes our builds or voices. Hell even the fact it's just the two of us. So do/ can we kill the kid? That's assuming we take him and he doesn't make a sound. We try to take him he screams and mom and dad come running, at worst armed and ready to kill us. At best now we have to kill them and now it's robbery and manslaughter. "nah just leave him alone" sounds like they had zero plan other than just coming in and testing their luck.
It's more accurately fight flight, or flop. Flo is what happens when the gazelle is caught by the neck and has no hope of escape through fighting or fleeing. Also sounds like the two men were looking for an easy score of theft, or perhaps squatting in an abandoned house. They found an unlocked door and were exploring. They weren't expecting to find a kid. They thought a moment and figured it was more trouble than it's worth.
I had a dream like this when I was a kid! I was sleeping with my door. Half open but my light was off in my dream. I woke up in the light was on and there were two men outside my door and I could see their shadows. They were wearing fedoras and one of them went. Should we take them out? I just remember hiding underneath my blanket
I know it's not an actual ghost story but for the skeptics out there, poltergeists are a real phenomenon I've seen one, I've never hallucinated in my life. I was a skeptic too until I saw the fuckin cabinets slamming on their own.

Assuming you don't have kids, If you have a little sibling and you've ever had to check on them to make sure they're asleep and not up playing, you'll probably see them faking sleeping like lying down in an awkward position like they just flopped down or squinting their eyes shut or they're obviously holding their breath to try to be quiet so they aren't just breathing naturally as a sleeping person would. Things like that.
I mean, if you were awake and they tried to take you, you would certainly wake up. Maybe they meant like "take you on" like fight u and since you were awake they can't have the element of suprise. They came to rob the place but saw and awake person. Idk just spit ballin
one time when I was like 5 or 6.... there were these spiky plants outside that would kind of like form shadows on the wall through the window... yeah one night they just just straight up formed into a SOLID shadow that resembled one of the heads of Cerberus, the 3-headed hound that guards the Gates of Hell... and he was talking to me. he said "this is what happens when you stay up late, kid!!! ahahaha.." and it cackled menaicly. couple more hours I watched him there. just staring back at me and like breathing heavy, and giggling occasionaly... until I finally called my dad in, and either he just couldnt see it, or it vanished, imediately, turning back into leaf-shadows, which were like... 1/2 as dark.... but he came back a minute after my dad left? and then eventually got bored and left after like another 15 20 minutes or so... to this day I have no idea if my mind hallucinated the entire incident, but i just remember when it was happening that it felt so real....
That was probably a hallucination, but I feel like that bc I'm atheist and I strongly believe that something like that could only be a hallucination and the "this is what happens when you stay up late kid" that just seems like something your mind would do.
