Those horse chestnuts took me right back to my childhood in the 50s-60s. They grew along the bumpy slate sidewalk on the road that took us to the four corners of the village, Penfield, NY. I loved the dry, satiny feel of them in my pocket. Sadly, that little two-lane road is now a four-laner full of cars. Thank you for this memory and your lovely knits.
Your shawl is beautiful!! Love your Ranunculus, I am going to start one for my next project! The Alpine Tee is going to be beautiful too!! Enjoyed the podcast!! Thank you!
I just love your color palette....I'm drawn to the same ones. Your Ranunculus is the best one I've seen, and the shawl is gorgeous with it. I'm also a loose knitter (continental) and have to go down a needle size every time. I just finished Hanne Falkenberg's Ballerina jacket (a big knit in fingering), so I'm making a Lento on size 9 needles as a palette cleanser :) Your Alpine Bloom is beautiful and that Entropy yarn is exquisite in it. I don't think they have that colorway anymore, so it's even more precious. Thanks for you podcast!
I had the pleasure of meeting Judit in Shetland. We were in the same tour group with Shetland Wool Adventures (which I highly recommend). Judit is a lovely person and so very talented. I remember that she wore one of her embroidered sweaters on the trip and it was stunning. I’m currently reading Covenant of Water on my kindle so it’s nice and light! I finished Tom Lake recently and it’s very good. But then how can you go wrong with Ann Pachett 😊
Thank you for this lovely episode! I am so happy to see you here again. Now I have watched your episode and gotten all inspired by the things you have talked about and shown. I think I have to dive into my yarn stash to see if I have any yarn for that Alpine Bloom Tee. I have thought about casting on that one for so long now. While watching your podcast I have enjoyed my morning coffee and knitting a bit on the Grow Hat by Fibertales. Really recommend that pattern too. Wish you a lovely fall 😊 / Maja (former "Bildverkstan")
I keep hearing of the Covenant of Water. I recently joined a book club with 3 of my friends. We are reading The Poisonwood Bible now....I didn't seem to want to get into it, I was balking for some inexplicable reason...but I'm enjoying it now. It's my pick next, and I'd like to re-read 1984 by George Orwell. I read it in high school and think it would be interesting to read it again

Isn't it hard to see those beloved places change? Thanks for writing!
good to see you, and your collage of blues and purples =). Great thrift store finds!
Glad to learn about buckeyes! I'll keep my eyes peeled , I'd love to try them.

Lovely rescues, I haven’t made a granny square in years either.
It would be so fun to make a scrappy blanket with granny squares, in my own favorite colors.

Thank you so much! A Lento is a perfect palate cleanser. I'm very tempted to cast one on!

I am so looking forward to see Judit's new book

Thanks so much, Maja! I love the Grow Hat and I'm thinking of making it for a holiday gift. I also like her headband. Have fun knitting!
And another beautiful podcast 💟 Love your aesthetics and all your projects. You are so very inspirational 🙏 I'm off now to collect some "conkers" 😂
Thank you so much, Barbara! This is my favorite time of year.

Book clubs can be so much fun. I did like Poisonwood Bible quite a lot. It would be interesting to read 1984 now that 1984 has come and gone!
The Poisonwood Bible is one of my favorite books. I highly recommend Demon Copperhead also written by Barbara Kingsolver.
In England we call them ‘ conkers ‘ 🤪
