Love that knot, it's never let me down. Had my little nephew in my boat and he got his line caught in the trolling motor on spot lock. The flouro broke before the FG knot did, I have never tied any other knot since.

I made myself learn the FG and I haven’t looked back now it’s easy for me
Love the Fg…..hooked a 6 ft sturgeon on st Clair with 15 lb braid to 8 lb flouro with an Fg … held it through 3 jumps . I finally broke it off where there the line broke at the hook…
I started out tying the blood knot, now I'm using the Albert knot

The only problem I've had with Flouro breaking is when the water is cold, now I'm talking about flipping, pitching, dragging. For that stuff if the water is cold I'll use 25 lb test where I would normally be using 20lb. Once it warms up I don't worry too much about it, I'll fish the lb test based on where I'm at and what technique I'm using. But I have had times in the past where it has cost me big time for no explainable reason other the only thing those times had in common was cold water, I tie a palomar knot and I know how important it is to keep the knot properly lined up with flouro so I know I had a good knot. But that's in the past, lol haven't had those problems since I adjusted.

Hey yes sir typically I get someone at the begging of the season who puts a down payment on it and when my season is over it’s yours. I have already sold mine this year so my 2025 boat will be available
