    We have a store and het boxes of old plates, cups, trays etc. Some have sat in sheds or garages for years and dirt has seemed to soak into the piece. Ammonia works great on the outer dirt. I will try peroxide. We got a box of figurines called Snowbabies? They are tan color and should be cream, ceramic color, woman was a very heavy smoker. OK, so the normal 3% peroxide they sell in stores may not work then. Worth a shot.

    Hi Grace just wondered where do you get your peroxide from and is it the same as the one you would use to bleach hair?

    Hi - I had some Biro pens stored in a ceramic, crazed fish mould, plain white and vintage. Tried hydrogen peroxide and other products which haven't worked. Do you have any other suggestions before I try peroxide cream? Thank you very much.

      Peroxide cream does work well. Laponite is also a great product

      @@theceramicrepairstudio Thanks. I faded the crazing marks with a non-bio stain remover powder. It didn't alter the ink spots very much but it's faded it sufficiently that I can live with it and put it down to experience. Thanks for your message.

    I have 100 year old Wedgwood Patrician dishes and some are discoloring (not stained) but turning brown. Wedgewood says its just because they are 100 years old but I was wondering if you had any ideas ?

    Hi, is there a way to reguild china? It breaks my heart that the guiding disappears :(

    • @theceramicrepairstudio
      @theceramicrepairstudio  3 роки тому +2

      Hi Grace, many thanks for your comment and for watching. When you say guilding it depends on the type of guilding you mean. You can use hold leaf but an easier method is gold leaf liquid. It all depends on the item.
      😀

      @@wickandde Hi Grace, I would recommend looking at the manufacturers instructions on whichever guilding you use first, to make sure it is food safe 😃

      @@wickandde Hi Grace, I will certainly do a video on guilding. When it comes to product and food safety there are many gold liquids ext. I am not sure which ones are food safe.
      Please let me know how you get on.
