- Which of these systems works best for me? Some Pros and Cons of the SuperTrickler and AutoTrickler.
This is for my 6mmBR Match ammo I shoot in PRS (Precision Rifle Series ) matches.

I’ve tweaked about every setting on my V4 settings, tried the trickler tips, offset the desired weight by 0.01, tinkered with different leveling configurations, etc etc, all to get consistent on target results. Many things I’ve implemented have in fact added up to a noticeable improvement BUT admittedly I still have a pair of tweezers which get used more than I’d like. It all still comes down to the final trickle…nothing, nothing, here’s 3 kernels for ya! Just noticed the Ingenuity is compatible with the V4, so I’m not sure if I should “thank you” for making me spend more money or be sincerely grateful 🤣. All said and done it’s the later. Update your SuperTrickler to the new 3.0 firmware. It will fix the problems you are having with Varget. I went from a 65% success rate, to a 98% success rate with Varget.
how is it like vs other powder such as H1000 or N565?

It takes a little time to get the powders dialed in, but when you do, it’s gold!

Good video man! I ran a supertrickler G2 for a few months this year and went back to my v3 once I got the Ingenuity for it.. I personally have had much better luck with Varget then it seems you have but it still wasn't to my liking. My biggest issue was the Supertrickler was the inconsistency... it would throw fast (7 second-ish for 30 gr Varget/N150) one day with few overthrows then throw 11ish the next. Also it wouldn't overthrow for like 20 charges then it would like glitch and overthrow a couple in a row.... I just got tired of it. I've shot over 5000 rounds of 6BR this year and I usually load my ammo the week of a match. I needed something that just worked and was quick... My Ingenuity almost never overthrows (1 in 100 or so maybe?) And is about 7 seconds every time.. the only minor gripe is have to say about the Ingenuity is it doesent like N150. I tried different disks but some of the bigger n150 kernels would bind in the trickler every once in a while (once every 100ish rounds).. The N150 kernels size variance is probably the blame there but the Supertrickler and other tube measures never had that issue.. all that said, i actually got tired of how dirty n150 was inside my barrel so I went back to Varget exclusively now though so Its no longer an issue for me anyways.
I'm still loving my Sartorius Entris II with my V3 auto Throw and Trickler. I bought a Mod for the Trickler, that only allows one kernel of powder to drop at a time. In my case H-4350, RL-26, 17, Tac, WST. and several more for pistol. No head aces here. I do like the Ingenuity Trickler, that's really nice and thank you for your honest opinion. have you asked them for their settings so that you can use your varget on your bench?
AutoTrickler v4 is the easiest solution for now. SuperTrickler is just a touch screen version but double the cost, the improvement is not that significant. Ingenuity is like a mini version of Prometheus, the latest Ingenuity Powder System is the one to get if want an real upgrade. Or can build your own, there is a project called open trickler has been available and maintained by many people around the world, cost is about 100-200USD depends on the parts you use plus the scale.
I think the ST has much more potential than the ATv4. I think the AT needs a major overhaul. And the ST is $600 and the AT is $500. Not exactly double. I bet the new Ingenuity blows them all away for what I want it for. I already have my preorder in.
@@precisionmatchtimer Ok. ST is not double, but 60% more than the AT. ST is at 775+50 shipping to US and AT is at 490+15 shipping. I can't justify a touch screen add on plus other minor changes for the extra 3xx dollars without significant advantage over AT. Actually neither ST or the Ingenuity is revolutionary. They are both based on AT's original concept with slightly different implementation/improvements from others. Plus overthrow at kernel level on any of these products is neglectable to the actual result. For anyone who is upgrading from those entry level powder dispenser, for sure Ingenuity's new Power System would be a good choice if money is not a problem.

Im getting about 7 seconds with 83% accuracy on 2.41.1 on the Supertrickler for 36.7 grains of Varget. However, when it runs fast, it runs sloppy and I have to pay much more attention because Im sure there was or less powder depending on the throw and if a kernel fell on the scale plate. Overall Im doing well with Varget (given that all the development and problem solving is on Varget). That being said - I can not wait until Ingenuity comes up with their all in one system (I wish I still had my Autotrickler V3 so I could get your set up). Im in - I want the speed and consistency and simplicity. The Supetrickler is like Sex Panther Cologne, 60% of the time, it works all the time.
Better than I ever got. I assume that the ST will get better and better. Just not sure I can wait for it. It has a lot of potential. Oh, and agree on the Ingenuity. Love the Sex Panther reference. Very apt!
Big thing that made a difference for Varget was updating firmware and setting the vibration correctly which involved setting the auto speed for the low setting first and then pushing the high speed difference above 75 by getting a kernel or two to bounce out at the highest speed. Then turning dithering to max. In the ai if it struggles I find it does on the fine so sometimes I would reset that if I’m stalling. Again all that being said - if the ingenuity was out today - this thing would be listed on accurate shooter. Too much tinkering and I’m a tinkerer.
Was not expecting that. Would you suggest using the Ingenuity with a v4 Autotrickler as well? Getting very frustrated with overthorws using Varget, about 50% of the time. Accuracy is more of a concern than speed.
I think the V4 is a different system. BUT, I think F-Class John has done it. Look for his channel.
So, using the yellow Lee scoops is out of the question? LOL! I use a Redding BR now for most everything, and check weigh on either a Dillon balance beam, or a TRX-925 reloading scale. Nice units you have there though.

I pretty much agree with your assessment, the patches are the most frusterating part. I think ill be able to tune the ST this winter and then i wont touch the updates.
