As a teacher I find it's impossible to make good art in the classroom as well, to practice learning for learning's sake. Try as I might, learning for "success"'s sake inevitable intervenes and desecrates the whole thing, both in terms of the creativity and interpersonal relationships; everything gets reduced to transaction.
