The editing of these videos are next level. You never know where one video will end and where the next one will start. You never know how many lectures were included in one video or into how many pieces one lecture was divided. All you know is that everything was connected so wonderfully that you have absolutely no problem following it even though Professor Fink's necktie suddenly changes color in the middle of a sentence.
Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my login password. I love any tips you can give me!
after finishing studies I always come back to your videos considering that learning is constant as well as homeostasis definition lol, the way you explain every single topic is absolutely fenomenal.. and body amaze me more and more. how wonderful is Jah Gods creation. thanks for your videos.
Professor Fink, I've been so out of touch with basic medical subjects and was finding it so hard to get back to studying again, yours is the first lecture that I watched to completion in years, comprehended and enjoyed absolutely. I have to thank you so much for putting out this amazing energy into teaching and I know I won't be able to thank you enough for these lectures, I feel like studying all over again and it makes me feel so happy. thank you so much for helping millions of students like me
Dear Coral, Thank You for your kind words about my video lectures. And thank you for taking time to let me know! My sincere Best Wishes for your Success!
As a teacher for med students, I must thank Professor Fink for his extremely didactic lectures. It makes my preparing lectures quite more easy. My respects.
Sir, You are an excellent teacher and this video, too, like many of your videos, is really helpful for it focusses on conceptual understanding . I am interested to know 1) which book are students in this course using (the book in which temp. Regulation is in chapter 25)? 2) how can we buy your material if we live in country like India
Professor Fink, How does an individual cell maintain homeostasis? Is the process similar to the circular process you have described above for macroscopic physiology.....i.e. Receptor...Control Center....Effector. Is it the same for the individual cell?...i.e. with the receptor proteins, the semi-permeable membrane (as the control center) and the effector proteins. In other words, could we say that the homeostatic process - the negative feedback loop...... is it a fractal process at the different levels of biological organization? Does an individual cell have "set points" for the things that it needs to control for its internal environment through the ion channels; potassium, sodium, water, etc. Your feedback and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You sir :)
Thank You so much for your lectures professor. Can you tell me the name of the physiology textbook that you refer to in this lecture? Also, am I correct to say that the "homeostatic reflexes" you mention in this lecture are the same as a "stress response" that I have heard other medical professionals constantly refer to? In short are these synonymous terms?
Homeostatic Reflexes include Temperature Regulation, Pupillary Light Reflexes, Skeletal Muscular Reflexes, Conditioned (Learned) Reflexes, Hormonal Reflexes, as well as the Sympathetic Stress Response Reflex. ALL of these are "Homeostatic" Reflexes. The "book" that I am using to present the lectures is one that I assembled. The neurons in the Adrenal Medulla secrete epinephrine -- a neurotransmitter hormone. And there are many neurons in the Hypothalamus that secrete neurotransmitters into the bloodstream, including ADH & Oxytocin.

No wonder this man is a professor. It seems like I finally found someone who can present it clearly. Thank you very much
OMG. I only wish my professor is as informative as you are. You are amazing. Thank you for all your work!

The chapter references are to the textbook Tortora's Principles of Anatomy & Physiology
@@professorfink Thanks sir
I don't think you're human prof. Only a divine being can explain the human physiology the way you do.
Wish you teach other courses
😔😔
from which book do you teach guyton or Ganong
you are amazing

Thank you for the lectures but doesn't the brain secret hormones?
no. the endocrine glands secrete hormones into blood. some of those glands (pineal, hypothalamus) secrete hormones so you are almost correct

+professorfink thanks prof
